  • This is one badass song to watch some voluptuous ample hootchie mamma work it on the pole

  • @DancingSpiderman DUDE! You know it! I've been saying that since I discovered strip clubs once I got to legal age. I've been into Steppenwolf since I was 7. My older bro got me into them. Better yet how about a two-girl lap dance to this. LMAO!

  • @monsta64 My two-girl lap dance is Eufrat and Pixie Pillows, or Jelena Jensen and Erica Campbell.

  • @monsta64: Interesting discussion and you are correct. Though the term "heavy" was applied to Steppenwolf it was in a different context than "heavy metal" that Sabbath, Iron Maiden etc. brought in. Absolutely right about the rhythm/blues and even soul influences.. Wilson Pickett perhaps, with Sookie Sookie following along the lines of Mustang Sally, Midnight Hour etc.

  • @AFTERSHOCKCEX Thank you. Clearly, Steppenwolf were one of the hardest sounding American groups of the late 60's, early 70's. Blue Cheer and Iron Butterfly as well. How do you feel regarding what I call the "Second British Invasion" (for "heavy music") begining with Cream then Zeppelin, Sabbath and Deep Purple?

  • This is the original heavy metal...not metallica, or pantera, kids

  • @ioriorioriorio Beg to differ with you but this is RHYTHM AND BLUES-BASED HARD ROCK. Black Sabbath were the pioneers of Heavy Metal. Every interview with Metallica or Pantera or any of the 80's band you always hear them mention Sabbath as influences not Steppenwolf.

  • @monsta64 Steppenwolf might not be their biggest source of influence, but they still are the original ones. They even invented the term "heavy metal"...

I like smoke and lightning, heavy metal thunder...

  • @Indefectible "Heavy Metal thunder" as used by Steppenwolf is in tribute to the Harlely Davidson chopper that's why Born to be Wild is the biker's National Anthem. The term Heavy Metal was penned by E.G. Burroughs in a novel from '62 called The Soft Machine. The band, Soft Machine, named themselves after his novel as well. Steely Dan named themselves after a character from his novel, The Naked Lunch.

  • @ioriorioriorio I think you've smoked too much weed

  • @FireLightning16 no such thing =)

  • Man, this f..ckin' rocks, man..! I'm gonna feel this later, but it puts my ancient ass, right out there on the floor..ROCK IT, NOW..!!!!

  • thought it was smookie back then

  • reminds me of true blood.

    bill: Soookeeeeh!!!!!!! LMAO
