If I believed you I would ask you a few more questions .... but your page says you're 31 years old ... soooo nice try .... you would have been 1. I really am looking for the real vaulter.
I did that once, wish I would of had those mats on the side like he did. I broke my neck the following year doing a stupid backflip over 8.5 feet showing off. Didn't know it and won the meet at 13.6.
his run was indeed wild, but his step was not out like bubkas, it was out like ashton eaton, but he was over striding here which is something that never ends with a good take off.
try falling sixteen feet onto your back in the metal box. or missing the side of the mat completely and landing on your neck for 5 feet higher. not a good time
I was a sophomore at Central in 1978. This is from the Lancer Invitational although I do not remember this incident. He definitly looks like he's wearing a BCHS unifrom. I'll do some research and see what I can find out.
That sounds right. Let me know if you find out who it is. I have my old meet sheets somewhere that would say who it is. I know he was one of the top vaulters around. Thanks.
Can't tell if his technique, the music, or the landing was the most painful part of this video.

LOL.... Five For Fighting... Policeman's Christmas Party. I just thought the words in the beginning went with the video. I guess it is sort of lame.
