I don't think what people understand about the late 70's , was everything was atmospheric back then. Watch any film , any film , from 1976-1981 , and there is a soft glow in the lighting. The disco era was about dancing , being carefree , and transporting yourself to another place in time. The music too reflected the somber , tranquility of the nightlife , like right here 2:46.

I feel bad for you that were born too late to have grown up with the great music of the 60's,70's,and 80's.But you don't have to fret about it,just find it all hear on you tube,convert it all to mp3 files and download it on your computer and save it and listen to it whenever.But keep in mind,there is tons and tons of great music from these three decades,so search slowly and carefully.We also had a lot of great rock songs and pop too,not just the great disco stuff.
