  • notch what do you want to put your game sony or nintendo

    (notch) umm ...... :D sony

which consle would you want to put your game

    psp ps1 ps2 ps3 xbox 360 xbox 720

    (notch):/........:D xbox

(everyone):xbox!!!!???? xbox is to soooooooo fucking expensive

    (notch) ^_^

  • wish it were on survival mode

  • i cant create a world

  • @angelitoproductions1 you must have a world in your "worlds" folder

  • LOL THIS RUNS MIECRAFT MUCH BETTER THAN MY PC!!!

  • can i use a flashcard for another ds lite game, and delete those folders and replace with dscraft ones?

  • @combatarmsman101 you mustn't delete them (if you have enough memory).

  • What if i just put the game on the SD card of my 3DS?Would it work? How would i be able to access it?

  • @cotc23 Unfortunately No...

DS homebrew can only work on DS Flashcards in a 'DSLite/DSPhat' type mode.

The SD card slot (along with the camera etc) are used in a DSi/3DS specific mode which flashcards (& the programming language used to make homebrew) cannot access

  • @cotc23 there is a r4i (flash cart) for 3ds NOW!!!

go to priceangels(dot)com and lookup r4i 3ds its 6 buks

  • @Alex1115alex or you buy only a supercard dstwo or a acecard and you have updates for every next console

  • @Flashcardsinfo r4i has updates all the time! and its 6 bucks vs 40 bucks

  • @Alex1115alex the acecard 2.i doesn't cost 40 bucks and the dstwo has a very powerful onboard CPU! If you buy a r4 for 6 bucks but you must buy a new one because the old is brogen, you must pay 12 bucks. Than, you need a new for 8 bucks that works with the 3DS -> 20 bucks. It costs 13-14 bucks.

  • @Flashcardsinfo the acecard costs 13-14 bucks

  • @Flashcardsinfo idk wtf ur talkin bout, all i know is that i just got my r4i 3ds in the mail and it works

  • @Alex1115alex you said 6 bucks vs. 40 bucks but the acecard 2.i costs only 13-14 bucks and you have to buy a R4 for every new DS (R4, R4i FW 1.3.0, R4 FW 1.4.0 and R4 1.4.1-1.4.3, R4 3DS). The most R4 cards are very cheap and they can broke very fast (I had 2 R4is).

  • @Flashcardsinfo apperently u dunno bout the update feture!

  • @Alex1115alex I don't forget anything about that. I OWN 2 R4iS!!!!

  • @cotc23

    Fucking dumbass

  • Comment removed

  • Would it work on a 3DS?

  • @sagjig2 If your Flashcard works on a 3DS - then Yes it will work on a 3DS, but it will NOT use any of the 3DS special hardware like the faster processor/extra memory etc since most flashcards can only run in a DSlite/Phat mode

(DSi/3DS extended mode has NOT been properly hacked)

  • @CannonFoddr Thanks.

  • @CannonFoddr

So if i get a R4 for my DSlite i can play this?

  • @DreadfulDeadMiner Technically, yes - it should work HOWEVER there are a LOT of 'R4' cards that are 'clones' of the original R4, which can have 'homebrew compatibility problems'

The DSCraft 'Wiki' [see description for link] has a (very small) list of cards that have been tested & shown which version worked on which card

  • @Technicmaster0 on Pg94 @ GBATemp forum (link above) you would find the following

"Sir_Voe: Any AI behind that, or is it just a teaser {referring to the creeper}"

"smealum (the developer): A bit of both really. Right now all mobs can do is follow you or run around randomly, and this screenshot would qualify as teasing since I don't plan on releasing anything with mobs for a while... just testing stuff !"

So that screenshot is just a teaser of MIGHT come in the future

  • @CannonFoddr But that means that smealum (i know that it's the developer) hase included the creepers once and there are screens of the first and the second version with creepers. That means that he has a way to unlock them.

  • whats the great music called in this video?

  • @gen222ax To be honest I can't remember -

I had trouble in the past with using 'copyright music' in my videos - so to play it safe I used a track from Youtubes 'Audioswap' that had a 'floaty easy listening' melody

However if you look under the video @ the number of views/Like & Dislike - you will find the details of the track under those

    Faerie Cottage by Llewellyn

  • @CannonFoddr thx! although this details-thing doesn't work.

there is only shown audio information, but the field is empty. :D

sry for my bad english, i'm german.

  • @gen222ax Weird that nothing is shown for you, although I have heard that German's Youtube can be a bit 'restrictive' on displaying some things - but for those that missed the previous comment, or also can't see the details under the video.....

The Music is called 'Faerie Cottage' from the Album 'Journey to the Faeries' by 'Llewellyn'

  • @CannonFoddr it's "Faerie Cottage" from Llewellyn. (it's right under your rating)

  • Concerning the Reports in my last post:

No offense man, this is a great video and really do appreciate Homebrew Projects like this one,

but I just checked the .exe files contained in the latest official version of this

    (DScraft_fat_310811.rar from smealum[DOT]net/dscraft/)

and it seems virtually certain to me that these are bundeled with malware!

Note that the fact that the game works though .exe files in the archive being malware infested is not mutually exclusive!

  • @AshKetchhupp Thanks for pointing that out - looking at those results though only 4-6 out of ~44 virus checkers state the 'malware threats'

I've tried these files on virscan[DOT]org

    Mapgen.exe=1/37 'malware' warnings, MapUpdate.exe =3/37, mc2ds.exe=3/37

The results from the more popular companies (AVG/AVAST/Kaspersky/McAfee/BitDefender/Trend Micro) came back clean so IMHO I consider those 'malware' results as 'false positives' (BTW - 'a2' uses 'Ikarus' virus scan engine anyway)

  • @CannonFoddr so it is virus free? and is there multiplayer and survival?

  • @dshacker662 To your first question.. it depends on who you trust...

As I said in previous comment - most 'well known' AV scanners (e.g. Avast) couldn't find a virus BUT some lesser know scanners (e.g.ByteHero) did find viruses

The DSCraft Wiki @ wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/DScraft has links to results of each file scanned

It is up to you to judge those results for yourself to decide if they contain viruses or not

As for your other question - No...This is based on 'Classic' so no 'MP' or 'Survival'

  • Virus scans:

    like this post

  • i wish there will be an update making a survival mode

  • It's sad because a DS can run Minecraft better than MY computer -_-

  • @KingLimer LOOLL

  • does it have redstone?

  • @CaptainBlurbsie Have you PLAYED Minecraft 'Classic' ??

As said in the description - this is based on 'Minecraft Classic', & since 'Classic' doesn't have redstone - then the answer is 'No this does NOT have Redstone'

  • @CannonFoddr I think he meant the DS ._.

  • @TheDan7933: I know he meant the DS . Since he knew about Redstone I could only assume he knows the difference between 'Classic' and 'Survival', but just in case he didn't I thought I'll ask.

If I said that DSCraft was based on minecraft 'Creative' mode then he'll know that Redstone IS included

You can play 'minecraft classic' for free on the minecraft webpage... so anyone can see how 'classic' plays compared to 'survival' /'creative'

  • It doesn´t work on iplayer

  • @DerIdiotenSender just to check - did you try just the 'nitro' version or the FAT version ??

(remeber depending on the version you try - depends on WHERE the folders got to be stored)

  • THIS IS FREAKING AMAZING

  • Is it possible to change the button Configs? :P My L and R Buttons Dont work on my DSi

  • ... to good to be true... b4 i download, Dose it work!

  • @snakepine09 Yes !!.

Just remember that it's still 'a little buggy', so some problems do exist.

  • i literally fell asleep

  • how you record video on ds please?

  • @baba3098 There's 3 ways of recording a video of a homebrew or game on a DS.

    > 1st way is too expensive - it requires special equipment.

    > 2nd way (as done in this video) is to run the program through a 'DS Emulator' & use 'screen capture software' - like 'no$gba' and 'fraps'.. note that some games/homebrew will not run in an emulator, but you do get good picture results...

    > 3rd way is using a Camera & tripod - See my video 'How I Make Scibblenaut Video' - you don't get so good a picture though

  • I really want this for my ds forget about buying other games i'll play this a lot... lol

  • wo kann man dscraft kaufen

  • works on Games n Music ?

  • @SilvesterKanal If you mean the Datel Games n Music flashcard then I can't see why not.

Not having one I cannot say, but from what I've read it's a Slot-1 flashcard that can run 'Homebrew'

    - although it seems it's homebrew support is 'flaky' at the best of times

You can go ahead & try one of the versions avaliable, but you MAY need to 'DLDI' the NDS file first....search Youtube for 'DS Homebrew: Datel Games n' Music DLDI' - that video has links to the required files needed

  • @CannonFoddr

    Can you craft a pickaxe?

  • @ComputerTricks100000 As I've said in the description....DSCraft is based on the 'Classic' version of minecraft.

If you know about 'crafting pickaxes' then I'm sure you know the differences between 'classic' minecraft and 'survival'. (BTW 'classic' is also known as 'creative mode' in the latest Minecraft pre-release versions)

'Classic' only allows you to 'build' sculptures with infinite blocks, while 'Survival' is where you can craft tools like pickaxes and attack 'Mobs'

  • hey i made a Dscraft Map it look at my videos

  • Comment removed

  • ohhh... you have sound...

  • Please watch my DScraft vid! I created some nice things :)

    /watch?v=GBnEgIAc_4o

  • i don't know why is it but, this game kinda makes me feel depressive

  • Nocth should claim the the game as his own, give credit to the guy, polish it up, get nintendo's approval, then sell it in stores.

  • hey I have downloaded it and extracted it than its two more rar file am I need to extract them all? and put all in my r4i gold?

  • @TheCoolcy You only really need the NDS and the 'DSCraft' folder on your flashcard

Depending on the version you have to use, the 'DSCraft' folder either has to be on the root (FAT) or same place as the NDS (NitroFS). I THINK for R4's you need to use the 'FAT' version

The other files (RAR files) are for creating new random maps (Mapgen) and for (attempting) converting Minecraft maps to DSCraft (mc2ds) - not tried this so don't know how successful it is

  • Pretty good for homebrew, methinks.

  • possible to use on emulator?

  • @gamezonic there's a version that works on the no$gba emulator - unfortunately there's no save feature & only has the one 'testmap'.

It was developed for creating videos & for tryout etc - You'll find a link on the official website

  • @gamezonic know you have 3 world and sve capability!!!!!

  • wtf????????????? nintendo ds lite???????????

  • This is also for dsi right?

  • @elvitug3... Yes - it works on all DS systems DSPhat / DSLite / DSi and even the 3DS

  • It's not a port, it's a homebrew. Two different things, bro.

  • @TheBnmghjk Thanks for the heads up - there actually a debate of whether to class it as a 'port','clone' or just 'Homebrew' on gbatemp forum.

Most agree that a 'port' is an official replica of the game made by the developers (maybe made by a 3rd party)

and that a 'Clone' is a exact copy of the game made unofficially by someone else, while 'Hombrew' is software 'based' on the official game.

I've changed the title to 'Homebrew'

  • @CannonFoddr That's fine, I always took it as a port being a complete rip of the code and converted to be the exact same game but on a different platform, ergo ports tend to be worse off. Where as, since this isn't an EXACT copy of minecraft, it isn't a port, it doesn't share the same title. I think it could also be a clone, but since the creator intended it to be a copy of minecraft and not sold as a different thing (ie CoD and Battlefield)

  • Do you know what emulator was used when recording the vid?

  • @sniffysniff777 There is a 'special' version of DSCraft that runs in no$gba emulator (no save function though & I think you're stuck with a default 'map'), so I guess that is what Mbmax used

  • @CannonFoddr Ohh yeah silly me thats what one of the 3 versions that smealum releases is, the normal version, nitro version and then the test version

Thanks for the help mate :]

  • I KEEP THROWING MONEY AT THE SCREEN BUT NOTHING'S HAPPENING!

  • INCREIBLE!!! Disfrutand de Minecraft en mi DS Lite, quizas ahora no necesite comprarme el Xperia play :P

  • & for those who can't read spanish - it says (according to Google translate)

"AMAZING! Minecraft enjoying of my DS Lite, maybe not now need to buy the Xperia play :P"

(sorry don't know what 'Disfrutand' means.....can only guess it was meant to be 'Disfrutando')

  • @CannonFoddr Disfrutand means Enjoying

  • Very impressive, man.

  • The next version coming out on the 31st of august (tomorrow), which will include ladders and doors! :D Cheers

  • @SkyRuler12 if you bothered looking @ the offical webpage or gbatemp thread you'll see the developer is

"" planning on attempting to adapt survival in future versions "" (in fact he already given a 'teaser pic' with creepers in it)

  • Whitescreen

    -.-

  • @richarde98 I guess you're saying you tried it out & you're getting 'white screens'...

Tthere are 2 versions of this ('NitroFS' and 'Fat').

Some cards can only use 'NitroFS' version - others (seems like those with 'R4' in the name usually) need to use the 'fat' version.Try the other version to see if it works.

Also make sure you have the folder in the right place

    - 'NitroFS' need the folder in same directory as the nds,

    - 'fat' need it on the 'root' of the card

  • @CannonFoddr ah thx

  • Comment removed

  • you should use painterly pack for this... because these textures are eww

  • @gamezonic Erm - didn't you read the description... I didn't make this video, so have no control over which pack is used

... I only put it up for the person as he didn't have a Youtube account

  • I lol'd.

  • @halo4life090 Actually looks pretty nice.

  • @halo4life090 Why?

  • @darkraiNo1 I find Minecraft on the DS funny, because they already made a portable Minecraft...

  • @halo4life090 The one on psp? Lol but ds is way better :P js.

  • @darkraiNo1 Noooo..

The one of Sony Xperia, look that up.

  • @halo4life090 The 'portable minecraft' you're may be referring to is for Android phones (eventually) & is made by the official team that makes Minecraft (Mojang)

    - It's programmed in Java, the same as Minecraft is - so doesn't required much (I guess) to alter the code to work on a mobile

DSCraft isn't programmed in JAVA but in Nintendos own programming language - It's NOT being done by the offical team & I doubt they will ever will port it to the DS...

  • where can I get a ds2 card? I am going to sooo get this game? Can you tell me instructions?

  • @Ollivander207 Depends where you live... In most cases you can only get a DS flashcard online

In many countries 'flashcards' are deemed illegal

'GBATemp' site does have a link to 'Shoptemp' - which will list a selection of online shops from around the world where you can buy various flashcards - although even if the shop is in your country, most probably the card is imported from abroad

  • Does this work on a Nintendo DS i ?

  • @Riolaro I've used this with a DSTwo flashcard on a DSLite / DSi AND a 3DS & it works on all of them...

.. but do note that this HAS just been released & bound to have some bugs in it, so sometimes it does crash expectantly.

  • *walking* THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP

  • I will boycott minecraft if notch decides to C+D this project

  • @stanleyopar91 So far Notch has only said that it cannot use the sounds & graphics from the original Minecraft.

There has been no mention of NOT allowing the developer from making it

  • @stanleyopar91

not if people make a fanmade exact map that ALMOST looks like the original minecraft..and make the sound ALMOST sound like it.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice!!! it looks better and better :)

  • I try it on NO$GBA but it do not find the testmap.map :s

  • @ChroniquesDeReadDick Go to the GBATemp thread & you find a 'special' no$gba version (only for testing and making videos, no saving though) that you can try it out with

  • @CannonFoddr Thanks a lot :D

  • Great work by Smealum!

  • Very nice!
