I was told by my athletic trainer it hurts worse if you move and it is best to sit still and let your body go numb. And you can't get frostbite as long as you are in a 70 degree or higher room because the water warms gradually because of warm air and your body heat. The only reason you get frostbite is if you have a medical condition like low circulation or diabetes.
@zmh1988 I realize that your comment is a year old, but seriously. Wheres your ice bath video? The point of the ice bath actually isn't to shock your body. Its to get rid of swelling and flush blood away from the injury. The return of extra blood helps repair muscles and certain injuries faster.
The sound effects are key! After my first ice bath where I got in with the ice already in, I quickly figured out to do it this way. MUCH better. And I leave my UnderArmour shorts on and bundle up my upper body with a sweatshirt and towels so my body temp doesn't crash too hard.
I've kind of given up on them, though. I didn't take one after either of my marathons and I don't think I was much worse for it, so I only do 'em if I pick up some specific soreness on a run.
Wow girls are really big dicks at trying to attemp that
