Didn't Obama make it perfectly clear that you had a choice to take advantage of this universal health care OPTION? Didn't he repeat over and over that you can keep your currant plan if you like it? I think he also said many times the only thing he will change about all health insurance is he will be getting rid of the "pre existing condictions". Well I have asked the Canadians I do know on the internet. Interestingly enough. The Canadians I have spoken to are greatful to have it. From what I have heard, they are even more scared of ever being in the shoes of the US citizens than any American is about ever getting Canada's health care system. I am doing a show on Blog Talk Radio on 12-20 regarding this and I plan to have some people against it and other Canadians that I plan on questioning them how they feel about their system.

I will definately do that but I decided to ask not only all Canadians I know but also all people I know from countries that do have universal health care. I have not heard one person bad mouth universal health care. Maybe you should check out the Blog Talk Radio show, "A Wiccan and Satanist" on 12-20-09. We will be discussing the issue. I have one person against it right now but do plan on haveing Canadians on as well.

You have to take what he said and then make your own descisions based on what you have seen. I wouldn't want any politician to use the public option because it would be taking money and services from those truly in need of it. I am wondering if you heard that the public option will ONLY be an option for those with out health insurance? Most people won't be able to get it because of this.

Mochalex, you can't be serious. There are 4000 pages of Leninist health care legislation pending in Congress and you believe Barack Obama's two words that it will be "an option"? The option will only be an option until private insurance (which can't print its own money, doesn't have to balance a budget, and can regulate the rates at which its competitors are reimbursed) no longer plays the health care game. I don't know the intricate details of the proposed bill, but I have heard Obama state many times that the public option will be an OPTION. In other words, it doesn't matter if you're a government employee or not. Everyone will be able to choose wether they want public insurance or not. Don't listen to republican scare tactics.
