  • I sincerely hope everyone will understand the meanings behind every word H.E.Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is trying to deliver. He does not care even if he has to disgrace himself just so his advices and teachings can be heard and also to make all of us understand. He is like a mirror, he reflects us, he shows us the real us so that we can learn and heal ourselves to avoid more karma from happening. Outer peace can never be done if inner peace is not achieved. Please visit his blog to understand more.

  • A buddhist comedian very funny. I enjoyed this routine. There was a question as to why some of deities are so scary. The "scary" deities could be likened to a purifier, testers of the eternal nature of a being, as well as custodians of the realms eternal. These deities will teach the exact same lessons as the calm and piece-full ones.

  • -.-

  • _/|\_

  • bad sound quality, too hurried, pity.

  • was this one the one choosen from the chinese ?

  • Thank you Rinpoche.I enjoyed your humourous teaching.

  • @loveruleshate It has been my experience with people who use profanity that they not only fail to make a point, but come across as vulgar, juvenile and ignorant. You mentioned you are a "practicing Buddhist." I don't think much of your practice--unless you add washing your mouth out with soap to it.

  • @paulokdash some of the Tibetan and Taoist deities have many hands and look pretty firecesome and Rinpoche was playing on the contrast between Lama Tsongkhapa and all these fierce deities .

Rinpoche talks to the Chinese crowd who typically loves money.

  • Could not follow it

  • @loveruleshate cant we just respect others for what they beleve in? lets all just be happy and get along!

  • This guy seems much to attached to the materialistic perceptions on life to be enlightened. Would the size of it truly matter? I do not believe this man is enlightened.

  • Oh how sad the people who can't simply enjoy this brilliant display of comic exuberance. Do you think there is no laughter in buddhism?

All great masters are laughing all the time.

It is a joke, you see.

  • I have faith and the word peace center will manifest. Why? If you have faith in Lama Tsongkhapa and a Rinpoche who knows what he is doing. It will manifest.

  • As a practicing Buddhist, this so-called "monk" is nothing more than an EMBARRASSING JOKE!

  • @loveruleshate I have yet to see any Buddhism in your comments. Haven't you ever heard of "right speech"?

  • Rinpoche writes in his blog personally, by the way, and updates it almost on a daily basis. He's writing faster than most of us can read... so I'd advise you head on down asap and start catching up!

  • hey everyone: you think the youtube videos are great? GET MORE of Rinpoche's personal thoughts, teachings, wisdom, sharings and newest news about what Rinpoche is up to at his BLOG! blog (dot ) tsemtulku (dot )com

  • May your retreat center manifest for the benefit of all beings everywhere. Yes Sir.

  • Rinpoche is THE funniest Dharma teacher I've met! He makes Dharma interesting beyond far. Who wouldn't wanna learn dharma from him after this video? I'll tell ya..NO ONE! hahah!!

  • hahha..very funny.. This is good entertainment. Everybody has to make a living. He does it ust like the churches and mosks but with humor. Another business man in religious garb. I do think hes very funny though. Your money is well earned gay monk, but remember nobody will listen to your religious talks if you don't share with the real poor people.

  • Hi don't make yourself joker. I don't know how much you benefit people through your talk but it good entertainment. But I appreciated if you could talk more profound, if you know about Tsogakpa, sepecially Lhakshe Nyinpo and Gonpa Rabsa, I don't think you will understand them.

  • I think a real Lama are in touched with both his feminine and masculine sides. If you watched his videos, you would see some are more masculine/wrathful and some are more feminine/ gentler or flamboyant. Unlike most of us, he is more in tune with both energies.

  • he acts gay ..lol hes so funny

  • I always laugh when I come across this teaching. Sometimes I think it is kind of sad that masters these days have to resort to such slapstick humor in order to impart the Dharma into us.

  • I agree about the slapstick! And what IS funny about him after all? The fact that a man is acting feminine - they are laughing just at the gay stereotype...

This said, it is good to have a meditator role model who doesn't act "dead". I love his energy and flamboyance.

  • its not sad.. its wonderful.. the reason for dharma is to find happiness.. not playing eeyore

  • Unityspirit50: You didn't get my point at all. I meant that the Lamas have to resort to use humor to entertain us or we don't listen to the Dharma. There is a risk that people will just treat it like entertainment.

  • There are two types of Lama Tsongkhapa statue, the main Lama with his hands in gentle turning of the Dharma-wheel mudra and the Je Tche Sin Ma - Life-force holder. He has cradles a long-life vase in one hand and the other the mudra of reasoning. This one is specifically for increasing the Dharma and all that we need including a long and stable life.

  • I already have a Lama Tsonkhapa statue and he is peaceful and blessed but now that I have Lama Tsongkhapa, I hope to complete my altar with a Setrap tsa-tsa and a Vajrayogini statue. She is slightly fierce but its alright...

  • Lama Tsongkhapa is one with Manjushri and his benefits are immense because he blesses us with critical insight on the stages of the path and all that is under the umbrella of his teachings have a special blessing for us to practice and gain attainments faster.

  • I agree! Everybody should have a Lama Tsongkhapa statue and I have one with his two sons, Gyaltsab Je, the older student with grey hair and Khedrub Je, the younger one with a fierce expression. I love them and I heard Rinpoche mentioned before that having the set and praying to it often creates the cause to be close to our teacher and teachings. I love that too!

  • I think people are quite used to Tibetan Buddhas by now. The Tantric Buddhas are already widespread thanks to the outlets in the popular places in KL.

  • Lama Tsongkhapa's yellow colored hat represent wealth! Cool! We love wealth. This is even more blessed that Lama Dzambala because he is Avalokitehsvara, Manjushri and Vajrapani combined.

  • The best medicine is the Dharma and the quickest way to get healed is with a laugh over some Dharma talk!! HE Tsem Tulku Rinpoche rocks!!!

  • Wow! We are so blessed with Wisdom through Lama Tsongkhapa. I think he is most effective for us is because of his karmic connection for having existed on earth in our time and having made numerous merits to Buddha (Jowo Rinpoche) so his stainless teachings based on Lord Buddha's can remain long on earth.

  • Is Jowo Rinpoche refers to Lord Atisha?

  • Dear loafer108: I think bhusukumode is referring to the Buddha Shakyamuni statue in Jokhang Catheral in Lhasa. He is referring to the famous even during the first Monlam Chenmo where he offered a bejeweled crown onto the statue. It is considered amongst his greatest deeds.

  • I have my Lama tsong Khapa statue from Kechara Outlet. Very beautiful. I love Lama Tsong Khapa statue.

  • Lama Tsongkhapa's blessing means wealth, health and lots of wisdom to make heaps of money and put all those profound teachings of H E Tsem Tulku Rinpoche into practice and make ourselves happy and others as well... Om Ah Guru Benza Dhara Sumati Kirti Sidhi Hung Hung

  • TKL's Lama Tsongkhapa! I can't wait to see and do Puja there with the rest of us. i wonder if they will have Vajrayogini chapel?

  • I went to Kechara Paradises Johor Road show to today, they have a lot of nice Lama Tsong Khapa Pendent, got good deal during this road show, must get one for ourself.

  • I love Tsong Khapa buddha and I got my Lama Tsong Khapa Statue from Kechara Paradise. Beautiful, you must get one for yourself too...

  • Hey I don't mind wrathful deity! In fact in most cases I prefer the wrathful deities over the peaceful deities with all due respect. I LOVE YAMANTAKA!!! If you guys do, check out the commentary Rinpoche gave to a practitioner.

  • If we wear a Lama Tsong Khapa Pendent, we bless people who see the pendent, example, even if we go into hospital to see a sick person, we bless them too.

  • I got my Lama Tsong Khapa Pendent from Kechara Paradise outlet.

  • Happy to listen to any of your videos, Lets see more of Tsem Tulku on You Tube he is a great teacher

  • I Love Lama Tsongkhapa!!! His gentle smile, his powerful blessings, who represents and his impact in the Buddhist world. Viva Lama Tsongkhapa's lineage. He he he.

  • hahaha! i am very new in Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's videos and it didn't took me too long to really want to watch the rest of the videos. Nice! i can't wait to watch all the videos!

  • hey this video is just so funny! Cheers Tsem Tulku Rinpoche! Your Dharma teaching is just so profound!

  • So funny! Now I want to invite a Lama Tsongkhapa statue home and I found it on kechara(dot)com. I can't wait for it to be delivered to me.

  • awesome! from what lineage is him?

  • Gelugpa . . .

  • Very funny video here, and i love the teaching. In Tibetan Buddhism, there are peaceful and wrathful (Higher Tantric) Buddha, and yet Lama Tsongkhapa is a peaceful Buddha, having a Lama Tsongkhapa statues, it helps you to purified the environment, calm you down and make you feel very peaceful.....

  • Rinpoche is so funny but yet very profound! Thank you for teaching us the dharma skilfully by infusing humour into the ancient teachings of Buddhism. Thank you Rinpoche for your compassion.

  • Im sure if hes so enlightened he wont be bothered if I call him a GAYBOY...It will just be his unenlightened followers who will get the GOAT .... RIGHT

  • So gay? Leave it out. Wrong perception more like it (from the viewers reference point). He is just fabulous!!!

  • HAHAHA HE SO GAY GAY GAY HOMO CLOSET

  • Hey frank, insulting excellent people or perfect masters will bring to you bad luck(karma)! Don't do it!

  • It's good to have a big statue of Buddha, but I'm happy with my little statue too :) It's better to have one than none :))

  • come to think of it, a Lama Tsongkhapa statue is the best thing to be placed in an altar, more so if your family isnt of a Buddhist background because he dosent look radically different than a normal person and he inspires ordinary people to achieve his state, literally. The ideal statue for your altar. kechara(dot)com

  • hahaha i never knew there was a yellow yoda, maybe its a limited edition.....

  • Having a Lama Tsongkhapa can bring so many things that we need at this time, such as spiritual and material growth as yellow is the colour of growth and increase. His image is also excellent in helping people with depression as it has a calming effect of lessening the depression. Perfect for this age and time where so many people suffer from depression. kechara(dot)com

  • if you're a tibetan Buddhist and would like to have a statue in your home, get Lama Tsongkhapa because he dosent look too shocking like the rest of the tantric deities. He looks calm and peaceful, which definetly sits in well with every other religion or people. kecharaparadise(dot)com

  • Lama Tsongkhapa is peaceful and His representations can purify negative energies in an area and repels harmful spirits at the same time because he is a Buddha. Having a Lama Tsongkhapa pendant or statue can help calm down a person's mind and help reduce depression and even cure it because it just has that effect. kechara(dot)com has Lama Tsongkhapa pendants and statues.

  • now that you know about Lama Tsongkhapa, you can get His statue here: kechara(dot)com. It's a really simple online shop that mirrors the products in the outlets.

  • Lama Tsongkhapa is perfect for people of our time because he represents peace and calmness from our mental delusions and many people are suffering from it these days.

  • Lama Tsongkhapa is one of the most peaceful Yidams, and he also bestows the blessings of all other Buddhas. Everyone should have a statue of Je Rinpoche as big as they can afford

  • I want to get a 4 feet lama Tsong khapa statue back to my house. Bringing buddha home.

  • Hahaha... this is really funny! Funny yet can teach dharma!

  • I really, really love his style of teaching...and all these free videos online! if you watched it and find it funny, pleae comment to encourage the staff to post more :P it may sound silly, but every bit helps

  • Lama Tsongkhapa is the cullimation of all Buddhas, so everyone should get him!

  • H.E.Tsem Rinpoche took rebirth in Taipei, Taiwan where he was recognized as a Tulku at 7 months old, but his mom refused to let him go. Then taken to N.J.,USA. From Jersey, he left to California where he met his root guru H.H.Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, where Kyabje Zong Rinpoche re-recognized him again. In 1987 he left for Gaden in South,India where He was officially enthroned. In 1992,chosen by Lati Rinpoche to go to Malaysia where he went on and off to teach. He resides in Malaysia full time now.

  • netelsg, this is a first Gate (very simple koan): Jo Ju's Dog, this is to reply your last line of comment.

A monk once asked Jo Ju, "Does a dog have Buddha-nature?"

    Jo Ju answered, "Mu!" (No)

    1. Buddha said everything has Buddha-nature. Jo Ju said a dog has no Buddha-nature. Which one is correct?

    2. Jo Ju said, "Mu!" What does this mean?

    3. I ask you, does a dog have Buddha-nature?

This is taken from Seung Sahn's Twelve Gates.

Search the net, you will find the twelve gates.

  • Its puzzling I've seen two comments "please be respectful and don't be critical". I see nothing in the video to be critical of. However let me say that I do not believe an even slightly enlightened person needs, clings to, requires or demands respect, rather they will have respect on there own merits even though they have no desire for it.

  • its just that some people are oversensitive and cannot see past their own bad experience. Problem is, the more they run away by declaring it to be bad instead of facing it and listening to what it is about, the worse it becomes.

  • netelsg,

    can you explain? :)

Tsem Tulku never said he is enlightened. Thanks.

  • Below is a zen koan by one enlightened master.

Before I practise Zen, I saw mountains as mountains, and water as water.

When I arrived at a more intimate knowledge, I came to the point where I saw that mountains are not mountains, and water are not water.

But now that I have got its very substance I am at rest. For it's just that I see mountains once again as mountains, and water once again as water.

If you cannot explain, you're still not enlightened.

  • @netelsg Oh yeah? How many koans did the Buddha teach?

  • Please be respectful when addressing Rinpoche. Don't call him a "fellow" or "dude" or "mister" or "man" Please us common sense and be respecful..

  • it's allright because at this time and age people are not used to doing that. But it is good to practice being polite, because if you cant even be polite to one person, who else can you be polite to?

  • it's nice to know that people still know respect, and the benefit it brings. When you respect someone, you inherit their good qualities :D

  • @Taesungy Does Rinpoche care whether one calls him "fellow" or "dude" or "mister" or "man"? Perhaps by those calling him "fellow" or "dude" or "mister" or "man", they are respecting him in there own way.

  • H.E. RInpoche is truly a great teacher of our time. He speaks our language of the modern age and present the teachings of Buddhism in the easiest form of understanding. My sincere respects to Rinpoche.

  • Wonderful video! This man is a brilliant AND funny Dharma teacher.

  • That was hilarious! THE Funniest Dharma Video I've ever seen.

  • pardon my asking, why is his hometown stated as: new jersey? was his eminence born here in the u.s.a.? if so-how did he arrive at this station in this life? thanks to whom ever will answer these questions.

  • I believe he was born in the US and raised here. As a child, he pretended to give dharma lectures and by 9 yrs old he wanted to become a monk. He ran away at 14 to a monastery in Cali, at 19 he moved to India to enroll in a Buddhist University. There he was recognized as a reincarnate of the Tantric Abbot of Gaden Shartse Monastery. He now teaches all over the world. He has a center in Malaysia.

  • thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

    peace. :)!

  • What is his name and hwat lineage is he??

  • His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is from Gaden Monastery, Gelug lineage.

  • He was ordained by the Dalai Lama. Please be respectful and research an opinion if you are going to make accusations. He has a very powerful teaching method that helps western people get past fears surrounding the eccentricity of Tibetan Buddhism.

  • truly an enlightened fellow

  • soooh oh sooo funny. I love him and I think have just found my teacher LOL!!!
