I was disappointed. It looks like it is trying too hard to simultaneously be, and out do, God of War. And the fact he got squished until he passed out AND came back angry with a flashback of his daughter TWICEi in the same fight withing MINUTES OF EACH OTHER. No no no. And the voice acting is bad, I may play it when price goes down and maybe ill fall in love with it like i did Bayonetta, but based on this demo nah

@Yamiyokun Actually see that's where many are wrong. You don't compare this to god of war, you compare it to the many anime out there where the character burst in glorious anger and destroys everything in his path.

Anyway I wouldn't be surprised really. . .the game looks very presentable, but that seems to be it's crutch compared to the gameplay which doesn't look engaging at all. Well actually, let me rephrase that. . .the parts with ACTUAL combat is great! But if specific events and bosses are going to be like this (75% QTEs and 25% gameplay) I highly doubt this is going to be worth paying for or even remotely entertaining. IMO of course. . .

@anotherguttersnipe2 RE 4's knife fight was way more obnoxious than these. It's part of the game's appeal to have the whole "interactive" cinematics during the fights with the QTEs. To each their own, though.

@Kodama867 but in RE4 the knife fight actually had gameovers if you failed, most fo this QTEs don't even care if you are not pressing a single button, and RE4 had actual good gameplay outside of that ONE sequence.

This demo didn't sell me at all on this game, they somehow made the absurdly badass thigns ocurring on screen boring and pointless with it's lackluster gameplay, over abundant QTE (most of them don't even have any actual effect even if you don't press anything, it looks like a pretty mediocre game. So of course we will see it getting 10s later in february.

Just got done playing and it was way to reliant on QTEs. The whole point of both of these battles were to fill up a red bar to go into QTE sequence. I'll have to see if you can beat them without it but I don't think you can.

So far, the gameplay looks extremely repetitive to me.

It's pretty much "Get full bar by shooting the shit out of the enemy, activate burst, do QTE, repeat."

Whoa, bigger than the Earth. Nice to see they go to those levels of size for this much craziness. Just last year I heard of an old manga where the main character pilots a giant robot bigger than the planet and has to carefully finger-plant to defeat his opponents. As for Asura, if he had been anything like this in that old Saiyuki RPG back on the PS1, I think Sanzo and company would have a lot of reasons to fear him.

honestly nothing much happens, either the fight will start from the beginning (youl have to charge at the fat guy while dodging rockets again), or there times were it wont matter, like when you fight argus and dont press the comands, the sword still lifts you into space.

@EnvyMizuhashi I tried it at one point. It pretty much just fades to black and shows a Game Over screen with Try Again From Checkpoin or Go To Main Menu options.

And it's only on certain QTE that it happens.

Epic battle. But since I´ve played both God of War and Bayonetta it isn´t something new. Yet another game I´d love to see someone play, but not buy and play myself. A pity.

@OverlordHB Games have been doing the whole "copy and paste" thing for years and years. So going by your logic, God of War is a copy of Devil May Cry and so on and so forth. Oh and FYI CyberConnect developed this game, Capcom only published Asura's Wrath.

@Charliem1994 Indeed. I know games have been doing copy and paste for a long long time. And yes, I do feel that GoW is a ripoff from Devil May Cry. But that is my opinion.

And I always forget to check who of the company logos is the developer and who the publisher is :( My misstake. Thanks for letting me know.
