I'm curious.. and I'm not being a smartass.. you do realize that you can purchase the REAL weaponry, at times often cheaper than a fully modded Airsoft weapon? I've seen full model Airsoft AK-47s role upwards of 500-800 USD. You can find a good Romanian WASR-10 AKM for 390. Just saying..

Nobody needs 50 rounds/second or "car suspension springs" - those expensive weapons often are related with the price of the precise metal cutting that doesn't differ much from a real steel.

Not to mention AK variants are pretty much everywhere, legal or illegal. Airsoft is not exactly mass produced so of course the manufacturing is more expensive than a real firearm.

All AK-74 versions are assault rifles.
