You can download a good DVD rip at isohunt or buy it on Region 1 (if you've got a multi-region DVD player!) There's still a few VHS versions floating around but who's got VHS anymore? XD

you may still be able to but the video, but is only on region 1 dvd. shame, cos i think its one of the greatest and most bizarre film ever made. truly brilliant though. you either love it or hate it. well or even try and understand it......

This movie scared the crap out of me - I think the Silent Hill series really owed a lot to this movie/story. Think about it: creepy little town in America where people all become possessed/demons, getting trapped in a kind of world of someone elses creation, the fact that the whole plot revolves around looking for a missing person: Silent Hill "borrowed" a LOT of ideas from this story, and a good thing it did, I say.

You really have to watch this movie to appreciate it. Either you love it or hate it. Iv seen it a million times and it touches the core of my humanity. I love this film. It will never get old. If they remade it well enough it would sell so well.

This is one of Carpenter's real gems. It is terribly underrated. I can't believe it was a financial flop, but then so was The Thing. This movie is well written and superbly directed. It's also scary. I wish Carpenter would make more films like this. I heard the title of his next movie is The Psychopath, so I'm hopeful.

I saw this movie a long time ago without knowing the title... It nearly drove me mad. But now I saw it again. Love it. But does anyone know if this movie has ever ended with the song "In the year 2525"? The version I saw yesterday did not, but, if my memory does not play tricks on me, that song was played as the end credits rolled by when I saw the film several years ago. Does anyone know?
