  • Amazing tour - caught this one in D.C. - I was in the 10th row, couldnt hear for the next 2 days. I had constant ringing in my ears. Im convinced that shows were a heck of a lot louder back then. These days you dont get your ears blown out like that. There was a wall of speakers behind Ed and you could feel wind from them and big pounding in your chest... Crazy days.

  • roth has everything but the vocals.

  • live era Roth material.... I am in. Little Guitars, And the Cradle will Rock, Unchained, and the debut + 1984. that sounds pretty much a slam dunk.

That Live DLR = VanHalen live package... is SOLD...

  • Roth does the moon walk too

  • Ed was the FIRST to do the moon-walk...not jackson....

  • Saw the tour in 1984 at the Lakeland Civic Center Lakeland Fla. I was in 9th grade.

  • This is back when a good rock show meant something.......

  • Whenever I see the 1984 tour videos a weird feeling comes over me cus I know its basically the end, the band couldn't stand Dave, he was really on his ego trip, etc. But he really couldn't sing live and Ed said in interviews he was sick of the clown-joke show that was ripping off the audience musically cus of the lack of singing ability with Dave.

  • @theShowStopper321 And, also, Dave thought that with Ed getting into keyboards and synths, that it wasn't real Rock anymore.

  • One of these days, hopefully Ed will open up the vault on the Roth-era live material.

  • @Fakename70 We can only hope. You would think Ed would be all over releasing it considering the money he would make.

  • Saw this tour in Buffalo and Toronto.. back when Van Halen was the BEST

  • it's really quite pathetic, that there are better quality shows, audio and video, years behind this great tour...and there are ONLY like 3 or so poor videos from this show!!

    is this really IT? wow

  • I think this was taped from the audience. There are some professionally filmed concerts, but those are locked up at Eddie's 5150 home recording studio. Apparently there is a ton of Dave era Van Halen footage, but it will probably never be released for whatever reason.

  • really? That is like gold! wolfgang will make a billion off of that footage one day. Cmon eddie, release the footage bro!!

  • @ouluvme2 There are 2 full concerts of the 1984 tour in ameture quality, Montreal and Las Vegas. I just KNOW there is DVD quality footage of this tour I JUST KNOW IT!!!!!!

  • 1984 market square arena indianapolis indiana......awesome show it was.....was very glad to have seen that..

  • Before my time.. Wish I was alive back then. Back when Van Halen was the sh*t

  • WHO HAS THIS ENTIRE SHOW BUT CLEAN?

  • Your best bet is to look for torrents. There are a ton of CVH torrents out there.

  • DUDE! lol... You're a life saver! Now, what's the deal there? Are they safe?

Just click on what i want and go??

    thanks!

  • Usually they are in some different format (if I remember correctly, I haven't dealt with them for about 2 yrs..) so you might need a audio or video converter. The ones I downloaded were safe. But, its the internet so there's no guarantees, but there's so much awesome material out there it's very tempting. Have fun! lol

  • very freaking cool to see this - saw the tour in february 84 at the omni in atlanta (think it was the first or 2nd week)

  • Those of you that do this SAMMY/ DLR back and forth shit, thank you for the free entertainment

  • no problem. Sammys lyrics are like a 8th graders poems, Daves lyrics are like a lenny bruce show. Sammy watered down 151proof liquor with his kool aid career. Good, huh?

  • My intent is not to upset anyone. I saw DLR when he and Sammy toured, and DLR couldnt sing worth a shit. His lead guitarists seem to carry most songs as DLR tried to hose down the first five rows with JD. Once he got to our section we like 80% of the crowd already did, went to the beer garden disappointed. I presumed he was having an off night however, after watching several live earlier videos. This guy just cant sing. Maybe its his big penis or mouth everyone actually loves.

  • Even though Dave is finally back they still aren't the same without Michael Anthony. On the last tour all wolfie would do is just stand there like his shoes were nailed to the floor. No stage presence what so ever! Just when I thought the real VH was back they screw up and kick Mikey outta the band....

  • Very true. I saw them on tour in 2007 and it wasn't the same..

  • I know what you meen by "poor stage presence" Poor kid looked so shy.

  • im pretty sure the band wass never called van hagar and the dumbass that just stuck up for it just proved van halen was not the same without dave

  • Yeah, the band was never called Van Hagar, its just what some people call the years Sammy was in the band.. I've also heard people call Van Halen Van Roth..

  • Fuck the gayfest that was vanhagar......

    DIAMOND FUCKEN DAVE IS KING!!!!!!!!

  • fuck you man, Van Hagar was awesome too, both eras were, just an asshole like you can't see that

    =VH=

  • No shit! Why do people want to hate so bad? I jammed with Sam Halen many times along with David Halen as well! Those hateful boring side picking comments get so old! I say enough already! People you're better than that!

  • Roth=Van Halen

  • does anyone remember Roth doing a martial arts sword thing on this tour..I thought it was during this song for some reason.

  • That damned stage is as big as some small towns! LOVED IT!

  • Did anyone remember the part the poster edited out? I remember from my own bootlegs that he had sung starting right at 2:00, "sing to me..." ( repeated twice in echoes) and then he sings "little babe will you talk to me... " it was echoed three times. Then he went on to say "...and then she took her clothes off..." and it was echoed once..." then he asks" you like that dirty s#$%, don"t you? Hah"???

  • this music reminds me so many good times, good times that I wish I could get back =/

  • BEST BAND IN THE WORLD EVER!!!

  • fucken ROCKS!

  • I was 15 when I saw VH in 1984... To this day...the best concert I ever saw!!!!

  • I agree. I have the same experience right down to the age and year that you do. Best concert ever.

  • Still have the shirt with the eagle on the front and the hammer on the back.....

  • Lol. I got that shirt, too. Awesome memories.

  • Still almost fits too....LOL!!! And my hair isn't down to the graphics on the back anymore....:)

  • me too! i saw them in MSG in 1984, when i was 15!

  • who eveer thought this would be there last year with dave...

  • At the close of the Meadowlands performance they all interlinked arms across each others shoulders and bowed together repeatedly and then each bowed individually as the others acknowledged him and at that moment I got the ~absolutely vivid~ impression that they were saying goodbye. I came home and told people about it ... and I too never thought it would turn out to be true. As I recall it was some time later that it was announced, so I am thinking they must have known then. And then it did.

  • i agree, this video make me really sad to think that this was the end of a great era in this bands history. the energy that dave gives at the end of the song shows he rocked his ass off, even as the band was splitting apart. I;m really glad to have seen them in 1984, at the peak of their success.

  • @blobo123 Go see em now, believe me, sounds better than this trainwreck....

  • wow ,this is like a nuclear explosion building

    FUCKEN AWESOME

  • love the moonwalk from Dave...priceless! was this footage from the Lakeland show?

  • This is the van halen to remember.

  • I love this song. Sexy intro and very upbeat, feel-good the rest of the way.

Although back then, it seems like they never did the second verse. :(

Anyway, this is a cool performance though I think I prefer '82 in Largo.

  • Little guitars relesed in 1982. Pretty girls, cold beer and Van Halen jammin on the boom box...Oh yeah! What a summer and what a band...

At the top of their game here, all of them!!!

    -INCREDIBLE!!!!!

  • righ; i'm a terrible lier. get out my inflections...

  • wherever that was filmed at i was ther. f kn

  • I love this song....perfect when driving in summer with the windows down and cranking some old-school Van Halen....pure bliss.

  • Could not agree more my friend!!

  • Moonwalked!!!

  • wow didnt know this even existed!

  • Man, the Mikey's bass sounds so amazing with Eddie's low end. And Dave can really sing here.

  • It's back on!

  • i was going to go and see them but i cant now. i think if he does tour it will be his last. vh is awsome

  • Is he using the Stinebuger?

  • no he's using a custom mini les paul.

  • Bad news! It was announced on 02/20/07 that the supposed 2007 tour with Roth has been postponed indefinitely!

  • yeah we frickin know. why do you post this to every single vh vid on youtube?

  • I know! What a tool! Gymman1031 is probably Sammy Hagar!

  • yea and your mom is Micheal Anthony

  • Uooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh! And your Dad's Liberace.

  • You guys R funny!!!!!!LMHO
