Check out Asher Cooltech Deathgrip Gloves.... They market them for golf, but I use them for range shooting. Absolutely the thinnest, skin tight, most natural feel glove I have ever used. I searched a long time to find good light duty shooting gloves and these are by far the best. Plus they look freakin' cool with the skeleton/skull print. There's a pretty good review of them on here from a gun owner's perspective, just search for "Asher Cooltech Deathgrip".
As much as everyone complains about Nutnfancy, I honestly enjoy sitting down at night and watching about an hours worth of him talking...even if the subject is something I don't have much interest in.
Just got Hatch Specialist NS430. Though I believe the size is right (ordered online), they are a bit tight around fingers. Is that normal with neoprene gloves? Thanks for the review!

After severing the flexor tendon in my right thumb (my dominant hand no less), in a completely preventable accident. I can attest to how important a good pair of gloves are. Im about 60% recovered, and am gunna pickup a good pair of gloves so this never happens again. Thanks for the review Nutnfancy.
Im looking at a pair of FOX Tactical gloves at my local Surplus store, they seem nice for $25. They are OD green which I dig a Lot. They also have a hard Knuckle. Does anyone know anything about FOX Tactical and whether or not they are a good brand?
If you decide to do another glove review then send your size and I can give you a pair of my Oakley pilot gloves, they retail around $70 and are extremely durable. I have one too many unused pairs and and would be happy to send them to you. Thanks :)
id suggest using scuba diving gloves for tactical. they are water resistant, amazing grip, form fitting, and pretty good about cuts and tears. cost about 10 to 20.
hey, can you review the oakley si assualt gloves?? or at least tell me your opinion of them witha reply? because they are very expensive but i hear they are the best of the best
Blackhawk SOLAG HD gloves!!! I like you reviews nutnfancy. You go over every aspect I'd look for. Been looking at these online. Just would like your opinion on em.
Just bought some Hatch Kevlar Street, Dunno how well they will fit because its a US brand and pretty difficult to source in brick and mortar stores (read law enforcement/doorman supplies)
Expensive for gloves and probably not the holy grail of slash/prick protection but better than thin leather cosmetic gloves.
Received 3 pair of different Tactical gloves from Damascus for $37.00 shipped to me. They are all high quality and the fit and finish is spectacular. I can wear the Interceptor X gloves and open my Sebenza real easy. I can also load a mag for my P226 and perform all operations with the Sig as well. Highly recommended but get them while they last.
The Ultramax liner isn't necessarily for insulation. Its Damascus's brand of cut resistant liner.
The liner does work well by the way. I know a LEO that had to grab a knife from an attacker blade first, wearing these gloves. Cut through the outer glove but didn't scratch the liner. However they're not so great for pat downs. Like nutn says, its a trade off.
get a pair of ziljian drummers gloves... about 20 - 30 bucks and have extra leather patches for where the thumb and the the fore finger come together where you hold the sticks.. check em' out man i think they would be very good for a shooting/tactical golve..
Ive gone through Mechanix gloves so fast, not that there bad or uncomfortable, just dont last long. In contrast Ive had REALY good experiance with Klein Tools gloves. I know nutnfancy will hate them because I dont think they make and all black version and they cost twice as much but they will last 10x longer and have awsome protection for the back of your hand too. just my $.02. Keep up the good work Nutnfancy, another awsome review as always!
The terry cloth part is for wiping sweat not blowing boogies! If you want to blow a boggie just snot rocket that bad boy!!! Great video Nutn, love the selection!!!
I have a pair of Bell Mountain Bike gloves with a hard knuckle, they work against a good whack from a 2x4... trust me. Also blood resistant which makes me happy, don't have to put rubber gloves over the already gloved hands.
I had hatch streetguard gloves.. what he doesnt mention is the the sharp edge of fabric that runs over your knuckles of your pinky and ringfinger. I once had to fight really hard and the sharp edge really injured my knuckles.. i see those edges on a lot of gloves..why do they do that? if they wanna cover the knuckles then cover them al over.. not partially. And about the terrycloth.. when its winter and your eyes strart to tear because of cold wind then its useful..
Yes! The first time, I've ever seen a glove review! I'm using Harley Davidson leather motorcycle gloves, with velcro wrist tighteners. Why? It blocks the cold air out, and yet keeps enough dexterity for pushing buttons on the cellphone. Good until -8C/18F, then I put on gloves over that, or put the gloved hands in my pockets. I want the dexterity, but I've only ever found it in those. This review is goNNA help fme find better gloves.
hay nutnfancy I saw a bacpack that that was a fully tactical pack that had a slot for your gun on the outside of the pack inbetween the small of your back and the pack do you have a idea of wear i can find it . thank you
oh yeah totaly agree with the mechanix gloves. they are my all around gloves. good in summer and winter and good dextarity. im going to watch the rest of your glove vids and see if you have anyhting better for me. them mechanix gloves are hard to beat in my opinion though.
No, dexterity. You can lost some with thick gloves, which will result in lose of control and etc. I got some stealthx gloves because this vid, they work well and I can do delicate tasks with 'em.
The terrycloth on the thumb is a must for the warmer climates. It is not a nose wiper. It is a sweat wiper. It works great for that. I've been using tactical gloves for everything from shootin, paintball, to working with handtools. I wouldn't have anything that didn't have the terry cloth on the thumb.
its kinda ironic, the only problem ive had for years now is that gloves don't build gloves that fit my fingers. They're usually too small for my fingers.
anyone know a good pair of half-finger gloves (i think they'll call) because i can't find a good pair that give to a very good grip but also are as reliable as a AK-47, because i but my gear through a lot of crap (not literarily, well rarely).
For what use specifically? I bought the Hatch Reactor 3/4 finger. Grip is ok, has been reliable so far but I don't use it a lot. The padding helps if you need to knock down someone, but I wouldn't recommend it for a shooter. The finger portions are too wide (XXL, but otherwise my parlm wouldnt fit) and the padding sits in (my) the way when handling a weapon.
Golf gloves work just as well. The cabretta leather is flexible and gives you a very good grip of the pistol handle, prevents rotational movement. Golf gloves are also very cheap at around $5, only thing is its hard to find right handed golf gloves :/
I would rate Demascus Gloves as a Mid range glove , I bought a pair and the stitching in the finger tips started come undone and in the seem between your index and thumb, I contacted the company direct and they told me to send them in, I got a new pair in the mail, and these have been keeping up with me so far.
If you plan on picking one of these up, make sure they are the right size for your hand, check the stitching from the inside and out.
Hey nutnfancy, thanks for all the reviews. Just a suggestion you may want to hit the reply button to reply back to specific comments vs posting them as comments. Just like I did.
I have a pair of the 5.11 Tac gloves with the terry cloth area and i actually really like the terry cloth "nose wiper" it does come in quite handy!! No pun intended!
Just for the order of things on the comment page... this was nutnfancy's reply to (("I have a pair of the 5.11 Tac gloves with the terry cloth area and i actually really like the terry cloth "nose wiper" it does come in quite handy!! No pun intended!"))
I got some black gloves at walmart for 15 bucks. Best gloves I've ever used! They were dickies I think. Also, if you cut the logo off, they are almost completely black. "leather" palms, cloth back
So far I've been very happy with a pair of "garden/work gloves" I found at Walgreens for $4.99. They are made of woven bamboo fiber with palm/fingers coated with rubber. They are form fitting, stretchy, and the back of the hand is breathable. There's no velcro closure to wear out either (its not needed) I like them so much, I bought a second pair (at $4,99, why not?).
i was speaking more on tactical boots like combat gear for different scenarios but thanks because ive only been watching for about 4 months so ill def. check those out
I see what you are saying. Just wanted to share some info on what I had found that he had out. I agree that it would be cool for some reviews on tactical boots.
honestly Nuntnfancy you read my mind. I was dying for a review like this because I'm in the market for them. And here you are with one, you're my hero broskees.
"tradeoff between dexterity and protection is like the tradeoffs between Mobility and Firepower" Spot on observation "ssstealth." It's the same exact argument and decisions will have to be made.
Great review. I'm hoping to see one about short finger gloves. Personally, I like the feel of short finger gloves, because it keeps my hands nice and aired.
I got a pair of tactical gloves for my shooting in the winter. But I feel i get alot more dexterity out of fingerless tipped gloves. Even cutting just the index finger off the regular pair of tactical gloves will work superb.
I recommend 'Hatch' Searchmasters. I also keep a pair of black leather gloves from wally world in my war bag as a back-up. Investing in a GOOD pair of gloves is important.
Dexterity. An insulated tactical glove just loses so much for feel as shown. But if the situation calls for such you might just have to accept it. For me, I accept a little coldness and more feel by going with a tight fitter, switching over to Polartec Wind Fleece models to warm the hands when able.
i got a pair of alpinestars motorcycle gloves.. man they fit so perfectly after you wear them in and they last so long. But you can definately tell that the fingertips are going to be the first to go. The weather is wearing reaaaaal thin. Stitches are still strong as ever tho. You'd think the palm would go first too... guess they have reinforced that enough already.
I love the terrycloth wipe... I work for UPS and have some mechanic gloves. I love using the cloth for my nose/sweat its awesome! great review... as always
wow, a 454 casull, that would be awesome, totally pointless, but awesome.
my only criticism is the constant "tactical" i believe its an over used/over hyped word and selling point. it kid of reminds me of "migraine" where every little headache is a "migraine" i blame that mindset on marketing.
agreed on the 'cop glove' the only substitute would be 'service glove'
Amazing video, I sent you a request about this video a while ago, and as for I do serve our country, I prefer gloves, so I do appreciate you taking your time and to make this video.
It's my privilege to hopefully provide all my soldier, LEO, and sheepdog buddies with the info. I might do more of different brands in the future. This was just a primer. Thanks for YOUR service ExCirc and glad to help.

Thanks a ton "jibberingjon!" It's enthusiasm like this that makes me re-dedicate my video production and keep it kicked into high gear. Thanks dude.

You could say that the tradeoff between "dexterity" and "protection" is like the tradeoffs between "Mobility" and "Firepower".

Remington makes awesome tactical gloves that fit really tight, have a fabric back, padding and theres no excess material on the finger tips

I got a pair of tactical gloves for my shooting in the winter. But I feel i get alot more dexterity out of fingerless tipped gloves. Even cutting just the index finger off the regular pair of tactical gloves will work superb.

I know my glove size is a Medium. I measured my hand with a guide on a shop sizing guide.

I recommend 'Hatch' Searchmasters. I also keep a pair of black leather gloves from wally world in my war bag as a back-up. Investing in a GOOD pair of gloves is important.

Why are you hating on insulated gloves? not all of us live in the desert! lol
AK49Gunner 3 years ago 2

You'd think the palm would go first too... guess they have reinforced that enough already.

wow, a 454 casull, that would be awesome, totally pointless, but awesome.
my only criticism is the constant "tactical" i believe its an over used/over hyped word and selling point. it kid of reminds me of "migraine" where every little headache is a "migraine" i blame that mindset on marketing.
agreed on the 'cop glove' the only substitute would be 'service glove'
so far another great video, the variety is great.
snugglylovemuffin 3 years ago 2
I like that term service glove.
