BTW: being a rival is not defined by hatred. Usually it's location. Florida/Florida State is a great rivalry. My wife doesn't hate FSU. The reason it's a great rivalry is that both programs have been so successful over the years. If FSU was 2-7 coming into that game every year it's not much of a rivalry. FSU/UM has been a great rivalry for many reasons. Both teams have been really good over the years and both are in the State of Florida, even the players know each other in many cases.

LoL. Please son. Anyone whos lived in Florida and has followed college football for more then 5 years knows Miami and FSU *ARE* the top football programs in florida. You Gaytor pricks have just recently become a true powerhouse team. Both Miami and FSU has already been there and done that with the T-shirts to prove it. Combine our records and we got better stats then the next 20 programs in the NCAA Div 1. Thats why I respect and enjoy the Miami/FSU rivalry more then FSU/Gaytors

exactly, you wanna know the mark of a good program, look at the success of the players on the next level, the list of superbowl champs, mvps and probowlers are endless from Miami with people like Sean Taylor, Ed Reed, Warren Sapp, Jon Vilma, Ray Lewis, Vince Wilfork, Frank Gore, Devin Hester, Willis McGahee, etc. and Fsu isnt 2 far behind with guys like Deion Sanders, Derrick Brooks etc., uf isnt even in sight, look at your alumni, rex grossman? lol

the fact you have to go all the way back to 1911 to find a technicality speaks volumes on how pathetic a program ufag is, Miami can point out 3 Perfect Seasons (not just technically undefeated but actually Perfect) without even having to go back a full 3 decades, meanwhile the best uf can point out is 98 years ago, which is longer than Miami's football program has even existed, we came into existence after uf and have a helluva lot more to show for it over the last 20 yrs

lauddy, BTW: in the lasts 20 years both schools have 3 NC's. Miami, 89', 91', 01'. Florida is more recent, 96', 06', 08'. How does Miami have alot more to show in the last 20 years????? Sorry buddy. Florida is the winningest college football team since 1990, you do the research. Miami had it's haydey in the 80's with 3 NC's. Miami is not doing much these day buddy. YOu still have to put down the Gators and they are the National Champions 2 of the last 3 years, makes no sense.

Must disagree with you on many points. Glad you are proud of your team. I'm very proud of the UM program, my brother was recruited by Schnellenberger and we have been fans forever. Still don't understand that hatred toward the other schools??? sorry. The 2001 UM team was a great team, but a NC is a NC. You should be humbled by the mediocre teams being produced by the Canes. I'm kind of embarrassed for them. Please win 10 games this year, you have the talent.

a great team is an understatement, greatest is more appropriate, there are few teams that even have their rightful place in the same breath as 01 Canes (03 usc and 95 nebraska) no gaytor team even comes close, i hate other schools because riding the fence hurts my nutts, for somebody who's been a Cane longer than i've been alive you sure do refer to the Canes in ways that dont include yourself a lot. BTW: being a rival is not defined by hatred. Usually it's location. Florida/Florida State is a great rivalry. My wife doesn't hate FSU. The reason it's a great rivalry is that both programs have been so successful over the years. If FSU was 2-7 coming into that game every year it's not much of a rivalry. FSU/UM has been a great rivalry for many reasons. Both teams have been really good over the years and both are in the State of Florida, even the players know each other in many cases.

After we played our crosstown rivals, I went out for drinks with the other teams coaches. We want to beat them but when the games over we are just guys. It's funny you can't separated a game and life. I'm glad you are a passionate Cane fan thats great. To hate another team, its players, coaches, etc.. is just dumb...sorry buddy you need to grow up. lauddyboi, I did a little research on some of UM's past schedule's like the 1983 season in which they won the National title. They really had a tough schedule.
They lost to Florida in the opener 3-28.
Purdue
Duke
Louisville
Mississippi State
Cincinatti
East Carolina
Some real power houses there. Maybe you shouldn't comment until you have done the research. I'll be back with 87' and 89'. That is a pathetic schedule.

I guess he forgot to check the schedule of the Canes of the 80's. Since they were independants they played tons of "cupcakes" every year. Yes they always had 3 tough games, but the rest were Cincinatti's, East Carolinas and San Jose States, add in a couple of Toledo's and Miami of Ohio. TOOO FUNNY.

UM had some pretty easy schudules in the 80's. They had maybe 2 or 3 tough games per year. YOu are very funny thinking they had tough schedules.
