Most people in America believe that is how old the earth is because that is what their religion leaders are telling them. I've had the priveldge of knowing atheists and Christians in my life, and by and large the Christians live far more productive and happy lives. God doesnt want us to be borned in heaven and live a perfect life. He also doesnt want us to love him like a robot. Thats why we are borned into this imperfect world with a free will. Through its trails and sufferings, it moulds our character and we start to rely more on God.
Our main purpose in life is "to know him, and to make him known".

This is a cruel world indeed. We should actually be living in a beautiful place on earth called the Garden of Eden, without disease, pain and suffering. But because of the sins of our first ancestors, Adam and Eve, we are exiled into this cruel world. Now dont get me wrong, this is a wonderful world, it is beacuse of the devil that the world is in this state.

Stop arguing. Obviously many people are too stubborn to believe in God while other people have God as their whole life. Arguing is not going to get us anywhere. Regardless whether God exists or not, I think our purpose as humans is to take care of each other. Make the world a better place. If God exists, good. If not, we still made the world a good place. So, when Jesus is called the "Son of God" it means "The One Who is by very nature God"! It is that easy to understand because it is a figure of speech. So, there you have it and I really hope this helps alot of people understand what to Bible is really talking about next time you open it and take a casual glance at the cultural terms "Son of God" or "lamb of God" or "Light of the world." :)

Other times people are called "sons of the prophets" in the Old Testament when it really meant "Those who are prophets" or "the prophets themselves" or "those who by very nature are prophets", it did not actually mean that there were "natural born children or offspring from prophets!"

Many people are confused by the term "son of God" because it is a translation of another language and culture into English (Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek). Jesus is called "Lamb of God" but that doeesn't mean that he is an actual "lamb"! Other times people are called "sons of the prophets"

I know it is true because it was a cultural coloquialism in those times, and in the Old Testament is calls many prophets "sons of the prophets," but it means "of the order of" prophets (not literal "children"). How do I know that Jesus is not literally a lamb saying, "Baaahh...baahh"? It is a figure of speech and a coloquialism. The same with Son of God. The word "Son" when used for Jesus means "of the order of" God = "Very Nature of" God.
