Thanks for your reply. I think it is easier for us in the UK, as religious fundamentalism is not strong here, and our brand of believers is more accepting of alternative lifestyles. But there is still room for progress on this issue. Levitcus 18:29 labels all the things in the chapter as "to'evah" or unclean, INCLUDING MESTRAL SEX. You stated in your video, (at 3:40), that is is not stated as unclean, if they "look it up." Well ClemClem-Jesus said that all the commandments are rolled into two: "To love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength." And, "to love your neighbor as yourself." If we truly focus on these, then yes, we will want to obide by the others. But, if we break them and then have a repentive heart, Jesus is right there to forgive us. Jesus is waiting for you to invite Him into your heart.

Ok, "without natural affection" is translated from the Greek word "astorgos" (Strong's 794). It is derived from the root word "stergo" which means "to cherish affectionatley". It is also defined as "hard-hearted towards kindred". Look it up. In the NIV, it is "without love", the NAS it is "unloving". Thus is has nothing to do with homosexuality. Certainly gays can cherish and love one another, thus this would seem to be a gay-affirming passage.

I'm kidding, I have no insight into JisF. I think being gay and then not demonstrates how sexuality is really a continuum. The vast majority of people thru evolutionary pressure are hetero. A small portion aren't. If anyone should be sensitive to the social stigma applied to "perverts" I would think an "ex-gay" would. It seems self indulgent to criticize those in a lifestyle you embraced for so long. There are more positive ways to work out your emotional issues than piling on the gays.

It's strikes me that it's somehow ok to say publically you think there's something not ok publicly with being gay in this country. I'm not Christian. To me the bases of your discernment is superstition. I think what is out of line is the cultural acceptance in this country of criticizing people for being gay. I'm in hopes that in time a persons sexual preference will be on par w/which superstition they wish to adopt. It will become irrelevant to there social standing. It just doesn't seem right to me that anyone should feel comfortable demonizing gay people in this country.

It's not perceived by society as "just like any other sin". People understand why others don't want to be a particular type of Christian or a Christian at all. There's no stigma attached to that. This is a safe country for non-Christians for the most part. It's not a safe country for gay males. She has picked up the mindset that many of us Christians do that when God answers us and does something we want Him to that He WILL do the same for everyone. The problem with that mindset is that God works on each of us as individuals. What He does for you, doesn't mean that you can EXPECT Him to do it for another. I personally have communicated with Charlotte. I have respect for her in her good character, but I believe she is misleading many people with that video, as well as being intellectually dishonest. I remember her quoting a passage out of the NIV bible that mentions homosexuals in the list of people that won't go to heaven. I called her out on it multiple times. We all know the NIV has been edited and is very biased.

Nosmo-Ty, It is impossible for me to have quoted from the NIV because I don't read it. It has several scriptures missing. All I read is the King James and on some occasions the Amplified.
I am asking people not to call Charlotte a liar because she experienced a deliverance from Christ that not everyone has. Her experience is not the only one and that's why many want to disbelieve it. I know of several people that have cried out to God for many years and have not had the same experience. My comments before about her mindset is the only disagreemnt I have. I totally believe her xperience is real though.

Effeminate doesn't mean homosexual... there are effeminate heterosexual men as well. I had this discussion with someone else before. It means a man that is feminine. Back in the old days men were expected to be strong and masculine. But still, you should not replace "effeminate" with "homosexual". That is in fact editing the bible which is most definately a sin.

I done a prayer like this in the past multiple times concerning homosexuality and just did it exactly the way you wrote it here. Still nothing. I fell Chirst there, but no conviction that everyone has to be straight.
Homosexuality is a sin, just like any other sin. And, I will continue to let everyone know that if they are struggling with homosexual desires, they can be completely taken away but only through Jesus Christ. No one else-only Jesus.
If homosexuality were not a sin, then why did Holy Spirit convict me of it and why did Jesus completely delivery me and take away my homosexual desires?
Did it? Do you really not have a single homosexual desire any more? Can you honestly say that you have not had a single homosexual dream or fantasy since you "converted" to heterosexuality? If so then you are the only case of this that I have ever heard.
Please go and watch my two videos on how "Jesus set me free from homosexuality." The first two years after I became born-again were very, very hard. But, I kept praying, reading the bible and spending a lot of time with Jesus. The closer I drew to Jesus, the more my homosexual desires diminished.

My difference is that I don't completely distance myself from Focus on the Family. While I believe that they do some good things and do teach allot of good things about raising children and being a family, I DO NOT agree with their stance on Homosexuals. That is your experience, unfortunately there are some that have prayed for years and it did not get taken away. To say they didn't have enough faith is to put yourself in the same place as the faith healer who said the person did not have enough faith. To both the homosexual and the person hoping for a healing this can make a person feel shame to tell them they didn't have enough faith. Please note, that I love you in Christ my Sister and my disagreements does not change this.
Charlotte, I would also like you to look at Stephanreyu's videos on Roman's1 finalized and Gay Bomb series, which has his thoughts Lev. as well. I believe that these two scritptures should be looked at in historical context and culture. I don't believe that homosexuality is a sin in and of itself but rather that sexual promiscuousness is the sin that we hetros and the homos can fall into.
While I don't deny your experience, experience has shown me that your experience is not the only one. My analogy and comparison about the faith healer is my only difference here. There is another side and some homosexuals are feeling shamed and slighted by those who are preaching at them. In Lev. God condemns money lenders stronger than he does homos. Why don't we preach as strongly to them as we do homos?

Doublebug-the churches that I go to welcome gays with open arms and love them very, very much. However, they will not condone homosexuality (or any other sin) nor compromise on what the bible says. We want everyone to come to church and to hear the word of God. We want them to know the truth about Jesus and His truth will set them free.

Thanks for your reply. I think it is easier for us in the UK, as religious fundamentalism is not strong here, and our brand of believers is more accepting of alternative lifestyles. But there is still room for progress on this issue. We just need toleration and acceptance on both sides, but I do realise how difficult it is for those who have been indoctrinated in early life to revisit their beliefs.

300 to 1000 partners in a lifetime? Imagine the average human lives 70 years. Assuming someone started at 18, that's a partner every two weeks for the rest of their life. Assuming the conservative myth that gays don't live past 40, that's almost one new partner a week, every week for the rest of their life. Not necessarily impossible, but fairly unlikely outside Mr. Dobson's fairy tales.

Levitcus 18:29 labels all the things in the chapter as "to'evah" or unclean, INCLUDING MESTRAL SEX. You stated in your video, (at 3:40), that is is not stated as unclean, if they "look it up." Stephan-that is Old Testament. Levitical law was impossible to follow. The reason it even existed in the first place was to show that mankind was in desperate need of a Savior. Well ClemClem-Jesus said that all the commandments are rolled into two: "To love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength." And, "to love your neighbor as yourself." If we truly focus on these, then yes, we will want to obide by the others. But, if we break them and then have a repentive heart, Jesus is right there to forgive us. Jesus is waiting for you to invite Him into your heart.

Ok, "without natural affection" is translated from the Greek word "astorgos" (Strong's 794). It is derived from the root word "stergo" which means "to cherish affectionatley". It is also defined as "hard-hearted towards kindred". Look it up. In the NIV, it is "without love", the NAS it is "unloving". Thus is has nothing to do with homosexuality. Certainly gays can cherish and love one another, thus this would seem to be a gay-affirming passage.

I'm kidding, I have no insight into JisF. I think being gay and then not demonstrates how sexuality is really a continuum. The vast majority of people thru evolutionary pressure are hetero. A small portion aren't. If anyone should be sensitive to the social stigma applied to "perverts" I would think an "ex-gay" would. It seems self indulgent to criticize those in a lifestyle you embraced for so long. There are more positive ways to work out your emotional issues than piling on the gays.

I'm not Christian. To me the bases of your discernment is superstition. I think what is out of line is the cultural acceptance in this country of criticizing people for being gay. I'm in hopes that in time a persons sexual preference will be on par w/which superstition they wish to adopt. It will become irrelevant to there social standing. It's not perceived by society as "just like any other sin". People understand why others don't want to be a particular type of Christian or a Christian at all. There's no stigma attached to that. This is a safe country for non-Christians for the most part. It's not a safe country for gay males. It's naive to think making public statements about how gays shouldn't be accepted by society doesn't add to that problem.

I personally have communicated with Charlotte. I have respect for her in her good character, but I believe she is misleading many people with that video, as well as being intellectually dishonest. I remember her quoting a passage out of the NIV bible that mentions homosexuals in the list of people that won't go to heaven. I called her out on it multiple times. I disagree with you that she is being dishonest and insincere. Whether or not she is looking squarely at both sides of the issue is where I think the problem remains. I don't think it does any good, nor is it the right words to say that Charlette is being dishonest. Saying such words does no good in trying to convince her of differences. Not rebuking you, just stating that a more careful use of words might help in your approach to her.

I am asking people not to call Charlotte a liar because she experienced a deliverance from Christ that not everyone has. Her experience is not the only one and that's why many want to disbelieve it. I know of several people that have cried out to God for many years and have not had the same experience. My comments before about her mindset is the only disagreemnt I have. I totally believe her xperience is real though.

Effeminate doesn't mean homosexual... there are effeminate heterosexual men as well. I had this discussion with someone else before. It means a man that is feminine. Back in the old days men were expected to be strong and masculine. But still, you should not replace "effeminate" with "homosexual". That is in fact editing the bible which is most definately a sin.

Please go and watch my two videos on how "Jesus set me free from homosexuality." The first two years after I became born-again were very, very hard. But, I kept praying, reading the bible and spending a lot of time with Jesus. The closer I drew to Jesus, the more my homosexual desires diminished.

Because that is God's will for your life. There are scores and scores of others whp go to Christ and cannot "be delivered" of homosexuality. I think the main issue here is projection. And why did you not accept the video as a response? I would hope you have more character than VenomFangX.

My difference is that I don't completely distance myself from Focus on the Family. While I believe that they do some good things and do teach allot of good things about raising children and being a family, I DO NOT agree with their stance on Homosexuals. That would be my only difference with Steve. May you pray about this my Sister in Christ.

Hi Afundie-I am heterosexual. But, since I am a born again Christian-I will remain celibate unless it's the Lord's will for me to get married one day. If it's His will-great and if it's not His will for me-great. Either way, I just want God's perfect plan and will for my life. God bless.

That is your experience, unfortunately there are some that have prayed for years and it did not get taken away. To say they didn't have enough faith is to put yourself in the same place as the faith healer who said the person did not have enough faith. To both the homosexual and the person hoping for a healing this can make a person feel shame to tell them they didn't have enough faith. Please note, that I love you in Christ my Sister and my disagreements does not change this.

Charlotte, I would also like you to look at Stephanreyu's videos on Roman's1 finalized and Gay Bomb series, which has his thoughts Lev. as well. I believe that these two scritptures should be looked at in historical context and culture. I don't believe that homosexuality is a sin in and of itself but rather that sexual promiscuousness is the sin that we hetros and the homos can fall into.

While I don't deny your experience, experience has shown me that your experience is not the only one. My analogy and comparison about the faith healer is my only difference here. There is another side and some homosexuals are feeling shamed and slighted by those who are preaching at them. In Lev. God condemns money lenders stronger than he does homos. Why don't we preach as strongly to them as we do homos?

Doublebug-the churches that I go to welcome gays with open arms and love them very, very much. However, they will not condone homosexuality (or any other sin) nor compromise on what the bible says. We want everyone to come to church and to hear the word of God. We want them to know the truth about Jesus and His truth will set them free.
