This piece is a sleeper in the industry as a sampler. The machine is beast. I knew it when it first dropped many years ago. Don't worry I will be posting producer videos here and show the world what a beast this machine is!!!!
Can you make the timestretch feature also affect the pitch?,
I know that the whole point about this thing is that it allows you to have more control over your sound but I'm interested in slowing down the tempo and lowering the pitch at the same time like the old akais used to do.
Actually I only have one of these. I was thinking of my other Roland stuff.
I bought it on Ebay (Apr05). I believe I paid under $400. Only drawback is the 6 voices, but there are numerous ways around the "limitation" The fidelity is awesome. The wave editing can be as detailed as you want.
6 voices means that you can only hold 6 keys down at a time (3 when sampling in stereo) Unlike a piano, where you can
press any amount of keys silmutaneously and hear all of the notes. In the case of the VP 9000, once you add the 7th note (or voice) it will "steal" one of the 6 notes or not sound at all.
To get around this, you can simply use the resample feature where you can have multiple sounds or events on 1 key.
Always the best!

Ok this may sound a bit dumb:
