  • Nive video

  • appreciate this guided tour of an encounter in wild mother nature - interesting voiceover - this is the first I knew of the sound of a deer (the snorting or hissing as you call it) - great sighting and vid!

  • lol most females runaway from u ha lol

  • lynx was probly hunting it and you fucked him over food. lol

  • COOL LET ME HAVE IT TAKE IT DUMMEY

  • 1:08 was this a joke?

  • naw, thats a bobcat. lynx are more gray and have the extra hairs on the tip of its ears, with thicker fur, and more muscular. and its often reffered to as the Red Lynx, because its furs are more red and i can see red in it.

  • This is one of the most awesome videos I've ever seen on YouTube! Thanks for sharing.

  • Awesome vid ,the doe was not happy about either you or the cat huh ? >:}

  • awesome video! Beautiful spot too! amazing how some idiots will waste time fighting over things they know nothing about...

  • lilnutter, you have named yourself appropriately. Unlike most Yanks, I'm a Brit and do indeed understand your dialect and your nicknames. Great choice for your handle, Mate.

  • she sure stayed put blowing a long time! great video....

  • aw, you ruined the bobcats lunch.

  • lunch, dinner, and breakfast, and lunch...

  • Interesting. I could hear the deer too. Sometimes a horse will make a similar sound -- those sounds are either fear based or a greeting. In the case of the deer, I'd think it safe to assume it was a sound from fear. Beautiful bobcat. Looks like the one who comes to my backyard for water when thirsty (I keep water out for him). Thanks so much for sharing this video.

  • i agree with some of the posters here that its a lynx rather than a bobcat. a bobcat has a more slender physique and resembles the housecat a lot more than this specimen. regardless, it was definitely stalking for food and was spooked by the lack of forestry in the boundary terrain of this location. this 80+ lb deer would be too large of a target for a 20 lynx and although it would have realized this, 20 pinpoint sharp claws and razor teeth allow it to dream high.

  • Okay--enlighten us all, expert. And yes, it WAS looking for the deer. As far as a front yard, it's actually a creekbed in front of my apartment.

    Anything else?

Perhaps you should move on to another site...

  • Do you kiss your mama with that mouth?

  • @kayrider95

Obviously a troll. "and no I'm not moving to another 'sight' so screw you."

  • @kayrider95 gayrider95

  • You Tube is full of Noobs like this "kayrider" character. Everywhere ya go, they appear. Thay are a pimple on the butt of You Tube.

Ok, now that I got that out of my system, I want to give you 5 stars for your video. Nature is absolutely fascinating and you were very nice to post this for us to see.

    Thanks!

  • @jimquinndallas Actually @kayrider95, Lynx is a name given to a broad genus of the species. Judging by the looks of the cat, and the man's accent, this is most definitely a bobcat. The other 3 species in the genus are found in Europe and Canada, and that is definitely not a Canadian Lynx and the man is definitely not European. And why are you worried about his front yard? Your videos are of you riding on a dirt road. What kind of road is made of dirt?????

  • i wish they would just jump on top of each other

  • definition of BoB Cat>noun, plural -cats, (especially collectively) -cat. a North American wildcat, Lynx rufus, ranging from southern Canada to central Mexico, having a brownish coat with black spots.

Also called bay lynx.So its a Bob Cat, I see Bob the Cat was out looking for lunch.Nice video glad you were able to video tape this. Thanks jimquinndallas for posting.

  • looks like a friggin couger

  • not a bobcat thats a lynx.

  • Great!

  • Is it possible that's a fishing cat ?

  • if ur thinking of a 'fisher' cat then no. a fisher cat looks kinda like a weasel or ferret

  • take the shot!

  • nice video jim

  • those bobcats can move

  • Nice job, you did well catching the wildlife with your camera zoom, very steady.

    Enjoyed it much!

  • i agree with fishabc1 on this one a pasture i know of has very tall feild grass and every year thats where they are with young "what she was dooing is sometimes call "huffing" to get the cats attention and led the cat away from the baby ,the males will do it to usually wile stamping one hoof, the males also snort ,grunt, and yes ,sometimes scream ,,,almost seal like, when unfortunetlly shot

  • i cant believe how fast that bobcat is, seems like the deer startled it by blowing right when kitty passes by.

  • thats rare to see a bobcat in a yard! cool vid. im pretty sure thats a "button buck", but i cant tell for sure. i dont think that deer would have done much more blowing if you hadnt stepped out. that cat could smell supper, and breakfast.

    thanks for posting.

  • bobcatz r gngsterz

  • thanks for posting this vid... cool footage...i like your sense of humor.

  • fuck deer

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but I would be willing to bet that this was during June through July most likely June. The bobcat was looking for the fawn that was dropped in the open field. Jim if you had walked around long enough I guarantee you you would have stepped on it. Doe will drop fawns in tall grass rather than the woods and it was obviously distressed with the bobcat in the area. I'd be willing to bet this was the case.

  • I never knew Deer made sounds.

  • I just recently learned that deer usually only make that snorting sound when there's danger around.

  • cool!

  • we had a black bear in our backyard in wisconsin that wanted our chickens when we raised them but sadly all our chickens got eaten by weasels called fishers.

  • deer are very dumb animals

  • and you are ? Like you would have a chance if a Preditor was after you...

  • nice:]

  • Where is this?

  • This was taken just outside my apartment door in Longview, Texas, inside the city limits. Longview is in the northeastern part of Texas, just north of I-20 about 50 miles west of Shreveport, LA, and about 135 miles east of Dallas.

  • Nice vid and commentary, enjoy watching it.

  • Thank you, Mike! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.

  • A BOBCAT will huntdown a deer for its meal, given a chance....

  • That's cool!

  • wow man wow

  • Very cool! The bobcats in my neighborhood only have rabbits and snakes to eat. I'm sure they would love a deer.

  • that was gay

  • i eat bobcats

  • thats sick you dumbass. why dont you eat a hamburger and choke on a cow dick!

  • nice capture on film! lol at it taking off on you "like most females" as well!

  • ooooow... poor cat missed a nice meal because of this jackass.

  • hey lets chase it down while its looking for food fun!

  • cool footage
