I'm a pianist and I have to agree with MnMandBubblegum, this guy is a BEAST on the piano. I have to give him a lot of props on this. This is jazz, and jazz is improvisation. This kid did a good job making the song his own. This is a pretty hard song to learn and for someone to improvise it takes great skill and feeling.

Vince Guiraldi has nothing to worry about...this version can not even come close to being as good as the original.......the dude playing the piano adlibs way to much and makes an awesome song almost totally unrecognizable because he tries to get to cute with it.........if he would have just stayed true to the original it would have been awesome.....

noooo he was putting his own twist on a classic christmas song! Obviously this guy is going to be an even more amazing musician than he already is! It takes skill to make a song your own. But of course you wouldn't know that...

yes it does take skill to make your own song, I agree, but you do not do that by REARANGING A CLASSIC SONG BY A GREAT JAZZ ARTIST LIKE VINCE GUIRALDI ! CREATING YOUR OWN SONG MEANS STARTING FROM SCRATCH!!!! Anyone with or without musical skills would know that so the question is does this guy have have the skill to do so or not? I bet anything he has written from scratch is probably totally awesome,but he did not write this song and I still say he got to cute with this songt and ruined it

I agree that he could have done a little less rifting,but I still think that he did a great job. Yes, I realize that this is a classic song, but he DID NOT rearange it. He was simply giving the song a little more pop. Did you notice that he is playing with a band? When you're playing in a band it can get pretty boring just playing a song as it is written. I think he is doing a great job of making the song with his own twist on it.
