I always assumed he was hit by a curse by a Death Eater coming around the corner (as Rowling doesn't make it hugely clear), but one of my friends said she always thought the spell that blew up the corridor caused part of the building to fall down and hit him, which caused his death. Does anyone know what actually killed him?

@xskatex4evax I agree with your friend a bit more, what i got was that the wand fell caused an explosion and the force of that hit Fred the most and killed him. Kinda like when a bomb goes of and people get injured just from the pressure caused by it.

I've always wondered what actually killed Fred. Jk Rowling was never really specific on what happened. There was an explosion then BAM! Fred's dead. It seems wierd to me that all the other characters who were in the same area went flying through the air and survived, but Fred died. Was there a curse that was said before the explosion? Did a piece of debris fall on him? Did he suffer internal bleeding? It all just seems rather odd to me.

@summerlvralwys I was like, "What the hell just happened?" I also hated how quick it happened. She killed him at the end of the chapter and I had to read it a couple times before it finally hit me, but I wasn't sure if I should cry or not (I cried nonetheless) because it was so quick. I really hope they pay more attention to it in the movie. By the looks of the first part of the movie, I'm pretty positive they're going to nail it.

I'm just super scared they are going to mess it up. Both the twins say it's really intense and emotional so for now I'm just going to have to believe them, but until I see the movie, I'm going to worry.
