Mr. Gingrich is right. Native Indian places of worship were wiped out by a generation when they were still primitive, there was no UN, there was not Human rights watch and other human rights organizations. Today's world is much more humane.
if we do this we will be no different than hitler and after this community center and people will start oppressing the Jews, Catholics, Atheists, Hindus , and the Taoists and there will no more freedom of religion which Voltaire advocated
@sctt1994 Hitler was ONE man. The "ground zero mosque" represents the ENTIRE muslim community. To oppose the mosque is bascially saying all muslims are responsible for 9/11. We cannot think like that.
St.Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church stood in the shadow of the Twin Towers and was crushed when the South Tower collapsed. What an outrage that our government has put roadblocks in the path of its own citizens trying rebuild their beloved church destroyed by Islamic extremistsThis is done while Saudi Arabia, a nation that prohibits people from even wearing a cross or the star of David, provokes the families of those who lost loved ones by funneling money to build a mosque at the same location

@failurbanik Wait. Hang on a second. Since when does the actions of one man justify everyone. Adam is right. There are many brave American Muslim soliders who are proecting us. As an American YOU should thank them.
@carolinekennedyify then explan why so many people focus on right winged terrorists after all there was only ONE major attack in oslo by one in recent years
@failurbanik Let's ask ourself the question. What is terrorism? Terrorism is an act of a person(s) to kill and scare innocent people. Jared Laughner. He killed about 9 people and terrorized Phoenix Arizona. So therefore, that makes him a terrorist. And lets not forget about the recent shooting at VA Tech.
@failurbanik Timothy McVeigh, Bill Ayers, Norway christian terrorist. ANYONE can be a terrorist. As for muslims. Only extreme muslims so that shit. Let's not forget that American Muslims were also killed on that day to. Do you actually believe all muslims are terrorists? Yes most terrorists are muslims but not all muslims are terrorists.
@failurbanik American Muslims are peaceful. As Americans we work with them, go to school with them, etc. In America all religons, cultures, etc, get along. Yes, we all have different views but that doesn't mean we hate eachother.
@failurbanik well given the size of islamic terror groups it doesnt really matter the number there are as few as a hundred is some whereas the IRA was many thousands, simply put stereotyping muslims as terrorists is stupid anyone can be a terrorist for any number of reasons and have done in the past. also please dont take in vain the destruction caused by the IRA they had in total between 1969 and 1998 their were 16,209 bombings...
if america is so shameful leave it and go live into a muslim country. you sound like you would like it much better. we dont want you here and we dont want them here either.
has this guy never seen any of the mosques investigations where they ARE teaching hatred? and possibly though far less likely terrorism. what the hell give him the ability to guarantee that this isnt an insult to american and the survivors of 9/11. i work with about 3 muslims and get along with them fine. but i dont trust them to pick western society over their insane religion. they didnt come here to assimilate themselves. they came to assimilate you.
How about just building the originals back up. Instead of useless buildings that will only attract people from one delusional denomination. Religion should be kept out of the public sphere.
Thanks to your support and the outpouring of 71,000 signatures, the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation has refused federal funds for the Ground Zero Park51 Mosque! They made their decision at their meeting on Wednesday, September 7th.
Your pressure was, I believe pivotal in stopping our tax money from going to this offensive project. We will keep you informed if the Park51 Mosque sponsors try it again!
1. The center has two floors of prayer space - i.e. it's a mosque
2. It was to be called the 'Cordoba Center'
- Cordoba was the high point of the Muslim conquest of Europe, where they built a mosque on top of a church to symbolize the conquest of the area by Islam.
3. The Cordoba center is located at where part of the under-carriage from 9/11 landed! - which clearly symbolically links it to 9/11.
Out of all the places in NYC that a prayer space could be located, why there? Why Cordoba?
What a total D bag this liberal apologist is. Full of excuses for Muslims and their goals. They must love him. No wonder he has no show anymore. Loser by all standards.
Yup. Wrong on the facts. Wrong on the law. And completely all over the place when it comes to actually articulating a coherent rationale for opposing the building.
It's just about emotion for these folks. The public outrage over this thing died back in November (right after the mid-term elections - imagine that!) The protesters are gone - we have bigger issues.
The construction (which is several blocks from ground zero) will go forward soon enough and life in NYC will go on.
Facts it's not illegal to build a statue of hirohito in Honolulu, yet they haven't. It wasn't illegal to build a Catholic Nunnery next to Austwitz , yet then Pope stopped it. Why it was "Inappropriate".Yet building this mosque isn't to muslims, it's a victory sign for their egos. An in your face display that was obvious from the beginning with their Freudian slip, naming it, "CORDOBA HOUSE". NEW YORKERS knew TRUE meaning of that name. No one gets in your face to NEW YORKER or AMERICA..
@AlexandrostheGreat1 "it's not illegal to build a statue of Hirohito in Honolulu, yet they haven't." Okay? So what? They are not trying to build a statue of Osama Bin Laden, and there are a lot of Japanese Shinto and Buddhist temples in Hawaii. If you can direct me to the evidence connecting this Mosque to the 9/11 hijackers, I'll join your opposition, but if you got no evidence, you kind of just look like a bigot.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 "I never said they were directly connected (to 9/11) now did I." Exactly! So why are you oppose to this Mosque? If you're just an intolerant bigot, be honest and own up to it. By the way, your assertions below are not really evidence unless you can cite a credible source.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 "I never said they (the Mosque and the 9/11 hijackers) were directly connected now did I." From your comments you obviously do, actually your rationale paints all 1.4 billion Muslims the same.
Definition of bigot: intolerant person, somebody with strong opinions, especially on politics, religion, or ethnicity, who refuses to accept different views. Sound familiar..
Embrace the fact that you're a bigot and we can debate why you’re so scared of Muslims.
@ctypro96706 Your inability to read is the prime example of an illiterate man. Frightened of muslims that information certainly did not come from my writing. No old boy, you are that's why you want to give into their wishes. I am an American, you fancy yourself a Buddhist. You think that makes you sanctimonious it doesn't. Buddhists shouldn't feel sanctimonious, that's a Sin.The NAME" CORDOBA HOUSE", Ends you and identifies them. U better buddha back to UR temple for refresher enlightening.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 I gave you the definition of a bigot and you come back with "you fancy yourself a Buddhist." "Buddhists shouldn't feel sanctimonious," "U better buddha back to UR temple..." Come on man! You got to see the humor in this... You crack me up...
@ctypro96706 Exactly! You can read. Read all my statements you can learn something valuable, enjoyable, the TRUTH.. I always look to see the humor in fools and love to point it out with play on words. It's a thankless job, until now, but I've got a lot of Karma to burn off.
@ctypro96706 You're being disingenuous! I agree, bigot, as it is understood, is an intolerant person who refuses to accept/acknowledge any opinion, viewpoint, person etc., different from his/hers. But the term is only appropriate when a person forms an opinion w/o merit (experience, proof, knowledge, etc.). That is the crux of the definition. This Alexandros that you're bickering with is no bigot & I surmise u know this. It's ignorant to slander people just bcuz u disagree with them ctypro!
@alfinesam dear boy why do you think mussarraf changed from fully backing the taliban to only clandestinely backing them. Armitrage USA official, told him there would be NO pAKISTAn if he didn't listen. But you wouldn't be writing your pathetic comments unless you were frightened. Either you murdering paki' muslim learn to be civilized or the world will refuse you. muslims have been murdering in the name of allah for 1500 yrs. GROW UP. That arab religion has been using you as lackys for years.
@alfinesam by the way the YT picture of bin laden dead is a FAKE, a 50 caliber round would take off 30% of his head. He got TWO=head and chest. There's new bin laden drink being served in the BARS AROUND THE WORLD= two shots and a splash of water. That dear boy is AMERICAN JUSTICE.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 who wants the mosque in front of night club .. as a muslim i dont want it ... u can built the church there .. that suits yr culture ... who popped up the mosque issue??? Jews who is controlling yr so called free america .. they wnted to test you people how much hate so much ve been spread by the rulling class in america thats not christians .. thts jews ... and mind it .. u people are just a slave
@alfinesam You don't even know any Jews or Christians. I have met Pakistani's and have found the ones the wish for American freedom to be good people. i know many Jews and have never heard them utter the pure nonsense you seem to embarrassingly let out of your mouth. As for the Mosque the issue was pushed by muslims, not Jews. Jews aren't trying to build a mosque on ground zero, muslims are. A victory mosque. Which you care about Greatly so DON"T LIE. It won't happen. Clean up UR act & UR ctry.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 yeah.. some american muslim thought we are in free country .. but they were wrong ... i mentioned the word JEW because this is the ruling class of america .. and yr president obama is just a puppet .. why would you think thats our victory as i already told you i dont want the mosque there ... built yr chruch and later convert it in to a nite club .. cuz no body gummma there .. u know that tooo ....
NATURE WILL GIVE YOU THE ANSWER of your doubt mind .. watch n see
@alfinesam Then embarrassing person WHY ARE YOU COMMENTING ON THIS SITE ?
You can't even lie well. but just in case you are that obtuse. This site reflects the thoughts of people either for or against a proposed mosque in a building struck on 9/11. It is apart of Ground Zero because it was struck by a plane flown by atta, the terroist, now still burning in Hell. Now this idiot oblermann says it isn't a mosque, only stupid people would believe that or comment here without reason. That's U.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 u are a ignorant pig .. who can only amuse stupid things who dont ever think what da fcuk is going on in yr country ... try to clear your own thoughts first ... and come back with the solid evidence of 9/11 ... it was atta or whoever ... i believe it was yr own government who called their own people and mostly educated americans believed that too but u are uneducated extremist idiot ..
And this will get built too. Notice how the outrage over this has all but disappeared. Funny, it vanished as soon as the mid-term elections took place in Nov.
Right now, the only effort to stop it is a lawsuit filed by Pat Robertson's group, claiming that the Italian Palazo architecture of NYC's Burlington Count Factory deserves historic recognition. Very convincing stuff.
@citizenghosttown Actually that's not true there are about 10-15 lawsuits being addressed in New York to stop the mosque. Rep. Peter King’s hearing on “homegrown” Muslim extremism resulted in death threats against the New York Congressman, and death threats to congressman don't help as well as the the financial backer the saudi prince is backing off. Since nothing is proceeding the action groups back off to save finances if the project gets ramped up, JUST WATCH THE NEW YORKERS and AMERICA.
For the most part, America stopped caring about this issue in November, as soon as the manufactured outrage outlived it's political usefulness.
And there's not 10-15 lawsuits. There are two pending. There's the ACLJ (Robertson/Sekulow) lawsuit and Klayman's lawsuit filed on behalf of a firefighter. You should read the complaints. They'r pretty silly and will get thrown out of court soon enough. I'd bet good money on that.
@citizenghosttown Now you know better then that. they declined the payment to move the Church or build at its owned location, it is a mosque (the saudi prince and Corboba house points that out) and the American People will NEVER FORGET.
It a planned mosque overlooking a community center and Ground Zero.
"It a planned mosque overlooking a community center and Ground Zero."
It's really the other way around. Once the Freedom Tower at Ground Zero gets built, it will vastly overlook this building. Not sure you'll even see Ground Zero from Park 51. (You can't right now).
We still haven't heard any legitimate grounds for stopping this from being built - only appeals to emotion and bad legal arguments. Mosques get built all the time. This will too. Get used to the idea.
@citightown They get stopped also, it's called zoning restrictions. That's how the British stopped the grand mosque being built by London's coming Olympics. Now the fanatics have the nerve to request USA Ground ZERO funds to rebuild because it was damaged on 9/11. U and olbermann say it's not Ground Zero, can't have it both ways, I'm happy to say. the zoning restrictions will stop a 16 story building that will over look the buildings in between the TWIN TOWERS. I won't have to get used it.
What zoning restrictions would those be? You realize of course that the zoning issue has already been resolved by the local authorities.
And tell us...if the building being proposed was something OTHER than an Islamic Center would there be a problem with the zoning restrictions? In NYC? Of course not. This is all just a pretext. It's so obviously phony. The disingenuous nature of these weak objections help illustrate precisely why the building will get built.
@citiz actually it hasn't been nor do they really own the building. It is still owned by ConEd. with a lease to buy. Only after final approval of the buildings design by them and the commission. if they don't approve a 16 story building I bet the mosque will go bye, bye. It wouldn't be big enough. I digress UNIONS WILL NOT BUILD IT. NOR WILL the gov't sanction it, WHY muslms are bigoted to gays and gays will not be allowed in the community center. that is a NO-NO, that gays will not let go.
@citizenghosttown The only thing I find disingenuous is olbermann and you stating this is not a mosque and Ground Zero. The rest is all too obvious and only an obtuse human would say otherwise. Do they have a right ,YES. Is it Inappropriate, YES! just as Inappropriate as building a 16 story statue of hitler next to Auschwitz.
What's disingenuous? Is it a mosque? No. It's a plan for a community center that houses a mosque. Is it at Ground Zero? No. It's on private property several blocks away. These are simply the facts.
"Do they have a right ,YES. Is it Inappropriate, YES!"
Make up your mind. If you think these lawsuits trying to stop the construction have merit, (as you were just arguing) then clearly you believe they DON'T or SHOULDN'T have the right.
@citizenghosttown Ah! I see the memo fairy has visited us again. I took you two days to come up with that.
God you obfuscate, you sound like rep Weiner, trying confuse a problem with extraneous information. I noticed you didin't respond to my ending statement you cherry-picked to cover your bias. A shiitehole by any other name is still a shiitehole. A mosque with a community ctr is still a MOSQUE, w/com ctr attached. Everyone in the world knows that.
@citizenghost A mosque on Ground Zero is a Ground Zero mosque. Never briefed a case have you? When the proposed inhabitants request funds because they were damaged on 9/11 & the Saudi prince financing it calls it a mosque, It's Ground Zero & a mosque. When the prince says it is inappropriate, it's inappropriate. Odd you omitted that Auschwitz analogy, which is the MAIN POINT, hmm. Just a suggestion for you. When you think your best isn’t good enough, more than likely it isn’t. You're done.
Call it what you like, but the facts are the facts.
"you omitted that Auschwitz analogy, which is the MAIN POINT"
Really? THAT"s the main point?
It's illegal to erect a statue of Hitler in Poland. In the US, it's not illegal to build a mosque or to worship on private property. And again, if it's just a question of what's "appropriate" why do say that our laws should stop them?
Your outrage may be real, but your objections are incoherent & so obviously phony.
@citizenghosttown However, you disagree with keith. You know it's a mosque, good for you. At least that's honest of you. As to the other mosques in the vicinity they were there previously and could have easily been hit by debris. I notice you don't object to St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church being denied it's rebuilding by the same commision and it owns the property destroyed by the arab hijackers.. WHY? Who cares?
Actually, Keith is technically correct. The proposed building isn't a mosque - it's a community center that houses a mosque.
What about St. Nicholas Church am I supposed to be objecting to? Nobody has denied the Church the RIGHT to rebuild. The Church wants to rebuild on Port Authority land and wants public money to do it but hasn't been able to work out a deal. They've already turned down $60 million in PA funds. Completely different situation.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 u hate muslims because we believe in jesus ... u dun give a fcuk cuz jesus is just a name for you people .. what i believe as a muslim he ll come back after imam mehdi .. and the shit happening to muslims .. is already written in my book .. jesus is guna save us .... built a mosque or not doesnt make any difference to me .. i am not a part of a rulling calls .. i ama just a simple guy u can give love to other people inorder to get peace ...
Every frickin time Americans have aproblem, they start talking about Hitler. Can't U people come up with intellegent, concrete argument with out resurecting WW2 ? ? ?
Marist College Poll Really said this Republicans expressed dissatisfaction with the new structure.74% oppose building a cultural center which includes a place of worship while just 16% of the city’s GOP support the move. Half of Democrats and 52% of non-enrolled voters think tmosque should not be erected while 38% 35%, respectively, believe it should. My someone lied. & said
Nyaahh!
A grunt used by people who are overweight to symbolise loss of air. Save UR breath for UR blowup DOLL.
saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal the financial backer calls it a mosque & inappropriate has suggested it be moved. Now they want US TAX payor funds because it was damaged on 911. They believe it to be Ground Zero and a mosque but also inappropriate. It's disingenuous for you to say it's not a Mosque at Ground zero now isn't it. So they want 911 funds because it was damaged on 9/11 Ground Zero. The backer calls it a MOSQUE, it's a Mosque. A difference that makes no difference is no difference.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 I could support it financially too and call it a bus station, but that doesn't make it a bus station. There are prayer rooms in many airports around the world for religious people, but you wont call the entire airport a church or a mosque, would you?
The term "ground zero" means the surface of the earth closest to detonation or impact. The building at 45–51 Park Place, Manhattan was not ground zero by any definition at September 11, 2001.
@simonwedege: saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal the financial backer calls it a mosque, you can bet your ass it's a mosque. If the inhabitants of the mosque request funds because it was damaged on 9/11, you can bet your ass it's GROUND ZERO. I rest my case. Jesus you idiots have never briefed a case have you? Just the facts boy, just the facts. You're done, finished, convicted of stupidity, case closed.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud is not the founder. The founders of Park51 calls it a community center. Take a look on their own website. The praying area is a minor part of the building. By your logic, a hospital which includes a chapel should be called a church, if only the financial backer calls it that. It's pure nonsense.
They can request funds all they like, but that still doesn't make it ground zero. You don't seem to care about facts like what ground zero actually means.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Even if it was a mosque (not a community center with a couple of praying rooms) and it was located at ground zero (not 3-5 blocks away), they still have the constitutional right to build it there.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
@simonwedege Can you read? Do you read? Where did I say FOUNDER?
The FINANCIAL BACKER. The Saudi Prince that is backing the mosque in our face, calls it a MOSQUE.
It was HIT but the engine from the plane hijacker, atta flew into the TWIN TOWERS. IT"S GROUND ZERO. NOw as to it's legality will that's up to the commission final approval You see park 47 is still owned by ConEd. They have final say not to mention Zoning. In London they stopped one with Zoining that will happen here. UR finished
@AlexandrostheGreat1 You're ignoring the founders of Park51, and you ask me if I can read? Alwaleed bin Talal is not the founder, nor is he going to run the community center. As far as I know, he doesn't even demand that his money will be used to build a mosque there. He could call it a bus station, a fitness center, an office complex for all I care... but none of it would be true, because it will still be a community center with praying facilities for muslims, and not a mosque.
@simonwedege again with the "FOUNDER". Reading doesn't come easy for you does it.? IT's A MOSQUE. HE HAS ALSO SAID THE MOSQUE should MOVED, but DOESN'T seem inclined to follow his own words. He can't read what he states either. A 16 Story Monolith to muslim's believed victory over the USA staring at GROUND ZERO and APART of GROUND ZERO will never be BUILT. That's like putting a 16 story statue of hitler next to Aushwitz. NYER'S will never let it HAPPEN. ZONING LAWS will stop it. Mark my WORDS
Finally, let's try again, this could be fun but You seem to be Simple. The "FOUNDERS" have requested FEDERAL FUNDS because the BUILDING was Damaged on 9/11, they know it's GROUND ZERO.
Thanks for letting me refresh yours and others memories. New Yorkers already know IT but you seem to need HELP. A mosque by any other name is still a mosque. Now we'ere finished and the Vedict is IN.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 The building was hit, yes. But flying debris doesn't make it ground zero. By your definition, the East River would be ground zero as well.
Let me quote the New Oxford American Dictionary:
Ground zero;
1. the point on the earth's surface directly above or below an exploding nuclear bomb.
2. a starting point or base for some activity.
3. the site of the former World Trade Center in New York City in the wake of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 So a Saudi prince, who is also a an investor In Fox Network,is helping finance a mosque? So what?I wouldn't expect a Christian to help finance a mosque. So a Saudi prince is helping to finance a mosque.Jews help finance synagogue!Proof of an international Jewish conspiracy to destroy America and make us all wear yarmulkes and stop eating pork!Next thing you know these Jews(who refuse to assimilate)will make us all start kvetching and speak Yiddish.
@johndgray1 You really missed the points didn't you. Oberman(spelled incorrectly) says it isn't a mosque. The financial backer says it is. Oh and Jews didn't BLOW UP AMERICA. MUSLIMS DID.. If they did I wouldn't let them build a Temple there either. But you're just an ideological idiot so I can excuse you. Oh yes New York has denied the rebuilding of the Greek Orthodox Church St Nicholas. It will not be allowed to be rebuilt on it's OWNED PROPERTY at Ground Zero. I know that doesn't bother you.
Be real 75% or more in the UNITED STATES are against the Ground ZERO mosque. In NEW YORK it's higher.so cut the falsehood. As for Spain, muslims invaded it & they were finally kicked out. Back to the initial topic this mosque is called the Cordoba House, sound familar. A victory mosque built on holy ground over infidels archived by muslims. And you want that HERE on Ground Zero. It's Ground Zero, because a piece of the plane atta flew CRASHED into it. . Shame on you for that and LYING.,
@AlexandrostheGreat1 And then after Granada was destroyed, Isabella also destroyed the old mosque at cordoba back into a ....cathedral.
And "shame on you" (boo hoo! waaah!) for tarring all Muslims with something that an evil man like Atta did. If you were consistent at all you'd next accuse all catholics of pedophilia, because of the crimes of a small minority of priests.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 And it's only 61% of both New Yorkers and Americans in general who "oppose" the "Ground Zero Mosque". Again the hysteria abounds. It's not a mosque, and it's not at ground zero. One wonders how many Americans actually understand that, with people like you constantly lying to them.
But the polls are somewhat beside the point: it's THEIR land, there's no zoning law saying that they can't build Park 51. Mayor Bloomberg knows what he's talking about.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Right, and it's their proximity to the WTC that entitles you to deny your fellow Americans the right to build what they want to on their own property. Well, I lived in Brooklyn for 2 years, and my friends from back then think Park 51 should be built.
Tell you what: buy out the building across the street from Park 51. Then you can build a 17 story church and keep on eye on those eeevil Muslims.
Wrong again this is still breakup of the ottoman empire the Serbs have been murdered for 400 yrs by the convert albanans to islam joined the turks instead of battling them for their freedom as the Greeks/Serbs/Slavs had done. It's not religion it's nationality. Try to remember albanians were turk lackeys then became nazi's, then commies now are back to muslims taking over Christian lands in the NAME OF ALLAH. Kosvo is Serbian, the UN & EU want them there.I only called it disingenuous to be polite
Albania was annexed by fascist Italy, and then later taken over by a puppet of the Kremlin following the war.
Ooh, 400 years! And it wasn't long before that that Isabella destroyed Granada, and the crusades were in full swing. How far back should we look in history for the rationalizations of modern genocide?
Notice Christians angered at muslim atrocities and hypocritical actions my make cartoons or burn the koran and muslims do the same to Christian Bibles but this Disingenuous person neglected to report the 10 Murdered UN members in Afghanistan TODAY for that very same reason. NO CHRISTIANS MURDER in the name of CHRIST today, muslims STILL do and have been doing just that for 1500 yrs. Disingenuous again we see. By the WAY NO NEW YORKER is going to take an IN YOUR FACE MOSQUE at GROUND ZERO.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Wrong again! Bosnian Orthodox Christians mass-murdered Muslims in Kosovo. Pretty much helpless Muslims, for being Muslim, in the name of Christ. By your logic, therefore, all Christians are mass-murderers.
"MOSQUE at GROUND ZERO"--Again with the girlish hysteria. You're calling me disingenuous? It isn't a mosque (any more than the 42nd. St Y is a temple), and it especially isn't at ground zero.
Get a vibrator, diddle your clit. You'll feel much better, Sally.
Finally, if have NOT read a newspaper, seen the internet(U wouldn't be here) or turned on MSNBC, oblermann WAS FIRED. And how about obermann and the rest of you SOB mosque for freedom of religion bullshiite artists tell the Mayor to allow the Greek Orthodox Church, St NIcholas to be Rebuilt on it's own LAND, at GROUND ZERO. Where are you self-rightous relgious Freedom fighters when it comes to Christianity? See, nowhere to be Heard or Seen. That tells me you are Disingenuous and Ends our debate
Quick note an idiot told us that the backer of the mosque was an American and I explained what another American muslim imam had done. have noticed as crazy as the Baptist church followers are, they only number 50 not 120 million or more. Also notice not any Swedes/Germans/French/Greeks/Italians/Swiss/Spanish/Hungarian/Czech/Finnish/Russians/Europeans have murdered or acted in Terrorist fashion/only muslims. What a mosque is 4 blocks away, do they need more? What a Disingenuous person.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Once again, when one Christian preacher does something insane, we don't tar all Christians with his crime. Why do we do this to Muslims? Because Muslims are Saturday morning cartoon villains, pure eeeeevviilllll, and they're comin' to getcha!
If they ever try to impose Sharia, we vote it the heck down, and then for good measure we hire some hot strippers to show their stuff outside the mosque. We don't prevent them from building one on land they own.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 What are you talking about Swedes/Germans/French/Greeks/Italians/Swiss/Spanish/Hungarian/Czech/Finnish/Russians/Europeans haven't murdered anyone, only Islam has? Of course people who were born, or decend from places like these have. The only difference is that Islam is far more televised then any of these places. And further, Germans/French/Greeks are different ethnic groups, while muslims are people of a religion.. They're two completely different things.
@mrmahrab1 U said, 'The only difference is that Islam is far more televised then any of these places". the nations you named have killed, they didn't do it in the name of allah/TERRORISTS NOW DID THEY? Historical muslims have been in the name of allah fo the last 1500 YEARS/LAST 60 YRS. All muslims have put themselves in one nationalistic ethnic group and DONE THESE HORRIBLE DEEDS. Not a lot of SWISS blowing UP PLANES or BUILDINGS. So you are either ACTING OBTUSE or your an IMBECILE.
@mrmahrab1 HAHA, your kidding right. You think that ALL muslims have killed someone and chose to be associated with vile people who choose to kill "in the name of allah" because they are twisted mentally? And as for "not a lot of swiss blowing up planes", why do they have to "blow up planes" or destroy buildings. People who are Swiss (or of any ethnicity) don't have to have a giant explosion to cause harm. PART 1
@mrmahrab1 Look at the multiple ethnic muslims captured and in prison in Guantanamo Bay and of course there's one from every arab muslim nation middle east and africa, afghans. let's talk about the indonesians , pakistani, filipinos muslim etc. I also notice you not brave enough to write me direct any longer. I guess it's too bad for you I happened to look back at this site. "why do they have to "blow up planes" or destroy buildings.' ASK THE muslims. WHY?
@AlexandrostheGreat1 What do you mean "write you back directly"? Is this still not gaining your attention, and making you think and reply. Anyway, as for "blow up planes", what I said in two different parts is that just because there is more property damage in what EXTREMIST muslims do, doesn't take away from the fact that it's not just muslim causing harm and killing people. There are tons of groups AND individual people who have the same effect on society.
@mrmahrab1 you wrote a response without naming me,you wrote it to yourself, the comment was directed to me.I would have never known you did it had I not looked again at this site. I have no intentions of writing anywhere but here out in the open for public review . Your being disingenuous, if it were Canada that was attacked would you be of the same mindset? I don't for one believe you are a native Canadian, but I am an American and my previous remarks at the top page answer everything.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Yeah, I just realized the replies to myself, and that was my bad. Anyway, I am a native canadian, and I was only asking to do this discussion through mail because I have character restrictions. Besides that. I do have an experience like that as well though. I have loads of friends and family who have been attacked by a religious group, and yes, I'm infuriated that this group did so, but I can't just be ignorant to the fact that this is just a certain group, and only ........
@mrmahrab1 pertains to them and other who think like them. The fact is that you have to see the actual humans behind these "religions" and not see them as just a group of people. If you do that, then you can basically group everyone in the world for doing some completely vicious and cruel.
@mrmahrab1 No If you are bengali there is an 89% probability you are muslim. Hence the main reason for your point and why you didn't answer my question. " if it were Canada that was attacked would you be of the same mindset? "
@AlexandrostheGreat1 I still don't understand how this even makes difference. Just because I am muslim, doesn't mean my point is any less valid. And I'm not the one avoiding the question. You ask me if Canada were attacked, would i still have the same mindset, and instead of giving you a hypothetical situation, I have given you actual ones, but you keep going back to "that same question."
@mrmahrab1 Amazing, so you don't see how this just invalidated you and your words. Well jt did and the fact you still couldn't answer the question " if it were Canada that was attacked would you be of the same mindset? " Is in itself revealing UR true mindset whether conscious or unconscious. You just couldn't come out and excoriate muslims if they attacked Canada even in a hypothetical scenario. Some native Canadian... Finally, I always knew U were a muslim. Hint: next time drop the 'ahrab'
@AlexandrostheGreat1 So what your trying to say is that I can't defend myself? And if muslim were to attack Canada, then why would I have any prejudice against, being one and knowing how it feels to be discriminated against.
@mrmahrab1 Did I say you did? No the hypothetical scenario was muslim fanatics did it and you should excoriate fanatic muslims but you can't. That is evident. You should know had it been Greek/Americans Orthodox Christians that were placed in the scenario, I would excoriate them. That's the difference, you don't see them as fanatic evil muslims. you probably believe they are misguided individuals. Screw that and your obvious disingenuous attitude.U DIDN'T ANSWER> We are finished here.
@mrmahrab1 I am sorry I missed the obvious why would you need to defend yourself, UR not a fanatic murdering muslim are you? UR not defending their actions are you? Of course UR and have by not condemning their actions in reality or the hypothetical scenario BY NOT NAMING THEM U
obfuscate with extraneous information others have murdered too or even defending Canada U said.' that this is just a certain group, it's millions of fanatic muslims ...You 're right Canada should be wary of you.
@mrmahrab1 Some could go on mass killing sprees. Others, maybe assassinate a person who is trying to change the world for the better. As well, some of these people are trying to find cures for cancer or end world poverty and help society and other people globally. The fact is that just because some people decide to be extreme and take dozens of lives, doesn't mean a group of people they're apart of thinks the exact same way.
@mrmahrab1 But you to obfuscate a problem with extraneous information, not pertaining to the issue at hand. It is a mosque and it was proposed as an in your face slap on America and New York. It will not be built.
@AlexandrostheGreat1 But that's the thing, the don't want to "slap anyone in the face" metaphorically. All the want is the ability to pray somewhere more accessible. I'm pretty sure the people who are planning to build the building where you can pray are not the ones who planned and murdered all those victims on 9/11.
"Also notice not any Swedes/Germans/French/Greeks/Italians/Swiss/Spanish/Hungarian/Czech/Finnish/Russians/Europeans have murdered or acted in Terrorist fashion/only muslims"
You should looke up the IRA, ETA, Tamil Tigers before you spout such bullshit.
@UnknownUserName4267 tamil tyigers are STILL ANOTHER Muslim/hindu-budhist thing . EtA is spanish/french-basque thing. IRA Catholic/Protestant thing. None have killed hundreds thousands of others in the way or on purpose or are a threat to all in the world trying to push their religion on everyone, only muslims DO.. Try again.
Not knowing what he's talking about and he's bragging about it.
Are you seriously saying no Christians push their religion? Look at the US with the Christian right. Muslim terrorism has not killed millions either and I'm not denying there is Muslim terrorism but you said only Muslims do which is obviously wrong.
You're wrong on all counts, I don't agree with any religion but have a better grasp on things than you have.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@UnknownUserName4267 Yes they have for the last 1500 years. America has not killed in the name of Christ. And Europe last did it 900 yrs ago So come off your short pedestal. No one has murdered in the name of their religion like Muslims and they still are to this day., they are #1. You have a grasp on something alright ..UR little.dream world. We're done.
You're boring the fuck out of me you pigheaded cunt. You saying I implied something doesn't mean shit. Go and then, get the last word in you stupid fucking wanker. Fuck you.
I'm glad we're done as you have a real problem with reading comprehension. I didn't say anything about the Christian right in America killing anyone, I was talking about them pushing their religion on everyone else.
Other religions have murdered people in the name of that religion, to suggest it's only Muslims shows you live in a dream world not me. I acknowledged there are Muslim terrorists but you're too pigheaded to do the same. So yes we're done moron.
I did not imply anything, learn to read other peoples comments and maybe ask what people mean if it's not 100% clear. That doesn't seem to be your style, you'd rather make assumptions. You were the one who said "We're done" in a pathetic attempt to get the last word in.
You're the most arrogant twat I've come across on YouTube, you think you know everything but you don't. Go ahead and spend the rest of your life hating Muslims.
@UnknownUserName4267 ad hominem attacks from an fool. Funny. Look you wouldn't be SO UPSET if you thought you were right but you were proven WRONG. I'm not sorry, but you must be.
(as for) those who disbelieve in our communications, we shall make them enter fire; so oft as their skins are thoroughly burned, we will change them for other skins, that they may taste the chastisement; surely allah is mighty, wise.
surely (as for) those who disbelieve, even if they had what is in the earth, all of it, and the like of it with it, that they might ransom themselves with it from the punishment of the day of resurrection, it shall not be accepted from them, and they shall have a painful punishment.
37-they would desire to go forth from the fire, and they shall not go forth from it, and they shall have lasting punishment.
Every time I watch this particular clip, it just makes me want to applaud furiously. Keith Olbermann knows what the real deal is, and he speaks on a completely objective side. That is the only value I have in life: to remain objective on all counts. If the American people do not have the capacity to embrace objectivity and live for the greater society instead of themselves, then I fear for this country's future.
Applauding the obvious (e.g. Olbermanns) self-refutation? ;-)
"knows the real deal"
I was wondering...
He says there is no Ground Zero mosque - then he says there is a place for worship (e.g. prayer space), which by definition is a mosque (e.g. in Islam a place for prostration before God). He says its not on Ground Zero, yet admits that plane parts hit the roof of that building, which makes it (something like extended) Ground Zero by definition. And so on...
@Wrath0fKhan Null point. He just meant it's not directly across the street from the WTC site, and it's not going to be some overbearing building looking down on people. It looks pretty normal to me. He was simply targeting all the racism and fear surrounding the construction, and that it's absolutely unnecessary.
Thats actually the irrelevant point. Parts of the plane wreckage were actually found one block beyond the one in dispute. "Straw-man-ing" some churches and "what not" is yet another "negative point".
"not going to be ... looking down on people"
Yet thats another irrelevant point as well. (Besides, it doesnt depend on me in any case. My opinion is that the property rights should be weighed as more important and treated accordingly.)
Racism? Yet another straw man argument. In principle opposing any religion does not qualify as racism.
"fear"
Well, neither you, nor him were able to prevent the recent lynching of some Ahmadis in some Indonesian province. Neither you, nor him were able to prevent the recent scourging of a teenage girl in Bangladesh leading to fatal consequences. Neither you, nor him were able to the recent teenage suicide bomber blowing up Punjabi recruits, etc.
Mr. Gingrich is right. Native Indian places of worship were wiped out by a generation when they were still primitive, there was no UN, there was not Human rights watch and other human rights organizations. Today's world is much more humane.

@carolinekennedyify then explan why so many people focus on right winged terrorists after all there was only ONE major attack in oslo by one in recent years
failurbanik 2 months ago
@failurbanik Let's ask ourself the question. What is terrorism? Terrorism is an act of a person(s) to kill and scare innocent people. Jared Laughner. He killed about 9 people and terrorized Phoenix Arizona. So therefore, that makes him a terrorist. And lets not forget about the recent shooting at VA Tech.
carolinekennedyify 2 months ago
@carolinekennedyify and the 18000 attacks by islamnists arnt anything
ok SCAREING people ISNT terrorism
ATTACKING OTHERS WITH A AK 47 IS TERRORISM (as long as its used for a cause to scare others mass murders arnt allways terrorist attacks)
you got three attacks by non muslims and that jared laughner wasnt right winged

Dear Friends,
Thanks to your support and the outpouring of 71,000 signatures, the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation has refused federal funds for the Ground Zero Park51 Mosque! They made their decision at their meeting on Wednesday, September 7th.
Your pressure was, I believe pivotal in stopping our tax money from going to this offensive project. We will keep you informed if the Park51 Mosque sponsors try it again!
Thank you!

AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 "it's not illegal to build a statue of Hirohito in Honolulu, yet they haven't." Okay? So what? They are not trying to build a statue of Osama Bin Laden, and there are a lot of Japanese Shinto and Buddhist temples in Hawaii. If you can direct me to the evidence connecting this Mosque to the 9/11 hijackers, I'll join your opposition, but if you got no evidence, you kind of just look like a bigot.
ctypro96706 9 months ago
@ctypro96706 I never said they were directly connected now did I.

AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 "I never said they were directly connected (to 9/11) now did I." Exactly! So why are you oppose to this Mosque? If you're just an intolerant bigot, be honest and own up to it. By the way, your assertions below are not really evidence unless you can cite a credible source.
ctypro96706 9 months ago
@ctypro96706 So, this is where your due diligence has led you. Oh, you can't read. No wonder you're an angry man.
When you think your best isn’t good enough, more than likely it isn’t.
AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 "I never said they (the Mosque and the 9/11 hijackers) were directly connected now did I." From your comments you obviously do, actually your rationale paints all 1.4 billion Muslims the same.
Definition of bigot: intolerant person, somebody with strong opinions, especially on politics, religion, or ethnicity, who refuses to accept different views. Sound familiar..
Embrace the fact that you're a bigot and we can debate why you’re so scared of Muslims.
ctypro96706 9 months ago
@ctypro96706 Your inability to read is the prime example of an illiterate man. Frightened of muslims that information certainly did not come from my writing. ctypro96706 9 months ago
@ctypro96706 Exactly! You can read. Read all my statements you can learn something valuable, enjoyable, the TRUTH.. I always look to see the humor in fools and love to point it out with play on words. It's a thankless job, until now, but I've got a lot of Karma to burn off.
AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@ctypro96706 You're being disingenuous! I agree, bigot, as it is understood, is an intolerant person who refuses to accept/acknowledge any opinion, viewpoint, person etc., different from his/hers. But the term is only appropriate when a person forms an opinion w/o merit (experience, proof, knowledge, etc.). That is the crux of the definition. alfinesam 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1
"There will be NO MOSQUE on or near GROUND ZERO"
Are you kidding? There are already two.
Very convincing stuff.
citizenghosttown 9 months ago
@citizenghosttown Actually that's not true there are about 10-15 lawsuits being addressed in New York to stop the mosque. Rep. Peter King’s hearing on “homegrown” Muslim extremism resulted in death threats against the New York Congressman, and death threats to congressman don't help as well as the the financial backer the saudi prince is backing off. Since nothing is proceeding the action groups back off to save finances if the project gets ramped up, JUST WATCH THE NEW YORKERS and AMERICA.
AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1
"JUST WATCH THE NEW YORKERS and AMERICA."
I'd bet good money on that.
citizenghosttown 9 months ago
@citizenghosttown Now you know better then that. they declined the payment to move the Church or build at its owned location, it is a mosque (the saudi prince and Corboba house points that out) and the American People will NEVER FORGET.
It a planned mosque overlooking a community center and Ground Zero.
It will never be built.
AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1
Get used to the idea.
citizenghosttown 9 months ago
@citightown They get stopped also, it's called zoning restrictions. That's how the British stopped the grand mosque being built by London's coming Olympics. Now the fanatics have the nerve to request USA Ground ZERO funds to rebuild because it was damaged on 9/11. U and olbermann say it's not Ground Zero, can't have it both ways, I'm happy to say. the zoning restrictions will stop a 16 story building that will over look the buildings in between the TWIN TOWERS. I won't have to get used it.
AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1
The disingenuous nature of these weak objections help illustrate precisely why the building will get built.
citizenghosttown 9 months ago

AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1

AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@citizenghost A mosque on Ground Zero is a Ground Zero mosque. Never briefed a case have you? When the proposed inhabitants request funds because they were damaged on 9/11 & the Saudi prince financing it calls it a mosque, It's Ground Zero & a mosque. When the prince says it is inappropriate, it's inappropriate. Odd you omitted that Auschwitz analogy, which is the MAIN POINT, hmm. Just a suggestion for you. When you think your best isn’t good enough, more than likely it isn’t. You're done.
AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1
Your outrage may be real, but your objections are incoherent & so obviously phony.
citizenghosttown 9 months ago
@citizenghosttown However, you disagree with keith. You know it's a mosque, good for you. At least that's honest of you. As to the other mosques in the vicinity they were there previously and could have easily been hit by debris. I notice you don't object to St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church being denied it's rebuilding by the same commision and it owns the property destroyed by the arab hijackers.. WHY? Who cares?
AlexandrostheGreat1 9 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1
Completely different situation.

saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal the financial backer calls it a mosque & inappropriate has suggested it be moved.
AlexandrostheGreat1 11 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 I could support it financially too and call it a bus station, but that doesn't make it a bus station. There are prayer rooms in many airports around the world for religious people, but you wont call the entire airport a church or a mosque, would you?
The term "ground zero" means the surface of the earth closest to detonation or impact. The building at 45–51 Park Place, Manhattan was not ground zero by any definition at September 11, 2001.
simonwedege 10 months ago
@simonwedege: saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal the financial backer calls it a mosque, you can bet your ass it's a mosque. If the inhabitants of the mosque request funds because it was damaged on 9/11, you can bet your ass it's GROUND ZERO. I rest my case. Jesus you idiots have never briefed a case have you? Just the facts boy, just the facts. You're done, finished, convicted of stupidity, case closed.
AlexandrostheGreat1 10 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud is not the founder. The founders of Park51 calls it a community center. Take a look on their own website. The praying area is a minor part of the building. By your logic, a hospital which includes a chapel should be called a church, if only the financial backer calls it that. It's pure nonsense.
They can request funds all they like, but that still doesn't make it ground zero. You don't seem to care about facts like what ground zero actually means.
simonwedege 10 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Even if it was a mosque (not a community center with a couple of praying rooms) and it was located at ground zero (not 3-5 blocks away), they still have the constitutional right to build it there.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
simonwedege 10 months ago
@simonwedege Can you read? Do you read? Where did I say FOUNDER?
The FINANCIAL BACKER. The Saudi Prince that is backing the mosque in our face, calls it a MOSQUE.
It was HIT but the engine from the plane hijacker, atta flew into the TWIN TOWERS. IT"S GROUND ZERO. NOw as to it's legality will that's up to the commission final approval You see park 47 is still owned by ConEd. They have final say not to mention Zoning. In London they stopped one with Zoining that will happen here. UR finished
AlexandrostheGreat1 10 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 You're ignoring the founders of Park51, and you ask me if I can read? Alwaleed bin Talal is not the founder, nor is he going to run the community center. As far as I know, he doesn't even demand that his money will be used to build a mosque there. He could call it a bus station, a fitness center, an office complex for all I care... but none of it would be true, because it will still be a community center with praying facilities for muslims, and not a mosque.
simonwedege 10 months ago
AlexandrostheGreat1 10 months ago
Finally, let's try again, this could be fun but You seem to be Simple. The "FOUNDERS" have requested FEDERAL FUNDS because the BUILDING was Damaged on 9/11, they know it's GROUND ZERO.
Thanks for letting me refresh yours and others memories. New Yorkers already know IT but you seem to need HELP. A mosque by any other name is still a mosque. Now we'ere finished and the Vedict is IN.

@AlexandrostheGreat1 Yes, let's try again. Let me repeat the quote from the New Oxford American Dictionary:
Ground zero;
1. the point on the earth's surface directly above or below an exploding nuclear bomb.
2. a starting point or base for some activity.
3. the site of the former World Trade Center in New York City in the wake of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Because the building was hit with debris, doesn't make it ground zero by any definition.
simonwedege 10 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 The building was hit, yes. But flying debris doesn't make it ground zero. By your definition, the East River would be ground zero as well.
Let me quote the New Oxford American Dictionary:
Ground zero;
1. the point on the earth's surface directly above or below an exploding nuclear bomb.
2. a starting point or base for some activity.
3. the site of the former World Trade Center in New York City in the wake of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Case closed :-)

@AlexandrostheGreat1 So a Saudi prince, who is also a an investor In Fox Network,is helping finance a mosque? So what?I wouldn't expect a Christian to help finance a mosque. So a Saudi prince is helping to finance a mosque.Jews help finance synagogue!Proof of an international Jewish conspiracy to destroy America and make us all wear yarmulkes and stop eating pork!Next thing you know these Jews(who refuse to assimilate)will make us all start kvetching and speak Yiddish.
johndgray1 10 months ago

3dubyas(dot)outsidethebeltway(dot)com(slash)polling-on-cordoba-house(slash)
So the actual borough where the community center and prayer room are to be built are in favor. Nyaahh!
ChollieD 11 months ago
Be real 75% or more in the UNITED STATES are against the Ground ZERO mosque. In NEW YORK it's higher.so cut the falsehood. As for Spain, muslims invaded it & they were finally kicked out. Back to the initial topic this mosque is called the Cordoba House, sound familar. A victory mosque built on holy ground over infidels archived by muslims. And you want that HERE on Ground Zero. It's Ground Zero, because a piece of the plane atta flew CRASHED into it. . Shame on you for that and LYING.,
AlexandrostheGreat1 11 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 And then after Granada was destroyed, Isabella also destroyed the old mosque at cordoba back into a ....cathedral.
And "shame on you" (boo hoo! waaah!) for tarring all Muslims with something that an evil man like Atta did. If you were consistent at all you'd next accuse all catholics of pedophilia, because of the crimes of a small minority of priests.
ChollieD 11 months ago

AlexandrostheGreat1 11 months ago
Albania was annexed by fascist Italy, and then later taken over by a puppet of the Kremlin following the war.

AlexandrostheGreat1 11 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Wrong again! Bosnian Orthodox Christians mass-murdered Muslims in Kosovo. Pretty much helpless Muslims, for being Muslim, in the name of Christ. By your logic, therefore, all Christians are mass-murderers.
"MOSQUE at GROUND ZERO"--Again with the girlish hysteria. You're calling me disingenuous? It isn't a mosque (any more than the 42nd. St Y is a temple), and it especially isn't at ground zero.

AlexandrostheGreat1 11 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Once again, when one Christian preacher does something insane, we don't tar all Christians with his crime. Why do we do this to Muslims? Because Muslims are Saturday morning cartoon villains, pure eeeeevviilllll, and they're comin' to getcha!
If they ever try to impose Sharia, we vote it the heck down, and then for good measure we hire some hot strippers to show their stuff outside the mosque. We don't prevent them from building one on land they own.
ChollieD 11 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 What are you talking about Swedes/Germans/French/Greeks/Italians/Swiss/Spanish/Hungarian/Czech/Finnish/Russians/Europeans haven't murdered anyone, only Islam has? Of course people who were born, or decend from places like these have. The only difference is that Islam is far more televised then any of these places. And further, Germans/French/Greeks are different ethnic groups, while muslims are people of a religion.. They're two completely different things.
mrmahrab1 8 months ago
AlexandrostheGreat1 8 months ago
@mrmahrab1 HAHA, your kidding right. You think that ALL muslims have killed someone and chose to be associated with vile people who choose to kill "in the name of allah" because they are twisted mentally? And as for "not a lot of swiss blowing up planes", why do they have to "blow up planes" or destroy buildings. People who are Swiss (or of any ethnicity) don't have to have a giant explosion to cause harm. PART 1
mrmahrab1 8 months ago
@mrmahrab1 Look at the multiple ethnic muslims captured and in prison in Guantanamo Bay and of course there's one from every arab muslim nation middle east and africa, afghans. let's talk about the indonesians , pakistani, filipinos muslim etc. I also notice you not brave enough to write me direct any longer. I guess it's too bad for you I happened to look back at this site. "why do they have to "blow up planes" or destroy buildings.' ASK THE muslims. WHY?
AlexandrostheGreat1 8 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 What do you mean "write you back directly"? Is this still not gaining your attention, and making you think and reply. Anyway, as for "blow up planes", what I said in two different parts is that just because there is more property damage in what EXTREMIST muslims do, doesn't take away from the fact that it's not just muslim causing harm and killing people. There are tons of groups AND individual people who have the same effect on society.

AlexandrostheGreat1 8 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 Yeah, I just realized the replies to myself, and that was my bad. Anyway, I am a native canadian, and I was only asking to do this discussion through mail because I have character restrictions. Besides that. I do have an experience like that as well though. I have loads of friends and family who have been attacked by a religious group, and yes, I'm infuriated that this group did so, but I can't just be ignorant to the fact that this is just a certain group, and only ........
mrmahrab1 8 months ago
@mrmahrab1 pertains to them and other who think like them. The fact is that you have to see the actual humans behind these "religions" and not see them as just a group of people. If you do that, then you can basically group everyone in the world for doing some completely vicious and cruel.
mrmahrab1 8 months ago
@mrmahrab1 Let throw out a wild guess, you're of Palestinian arab descent and Jews have attacked yours. Why not admit it? What are you afraid of?
AlexandrostheGreat1 8 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 I'm not Palestinian, I'm bengali. And besides, why does it even matter? It doesn't change my point.
mrmahrab1 8 months ago
@mrmahrab1 No If you are bengali there is an 89% probability you are muslim. Hence the main reason for your point and why you didn't answer my question. " if it were Canada that was attacked would you be of the same mindset? "
AlexandrostheGreat1 8 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 I still don't understand how this even makes difference. Just because I am muslim, doesn't mean my point is any less valid. And I'm not the one avoiding the question. You ask me if Canada were attacked, would i still have the same mindset, and instead of giving you a hypothetical situation, I have given you actual ones, but you keep going back to "that same question."
mrmahrab1 8 months ago
@mrmahrab1 Amazing, so you don't see how this just invalidated you and your words. Well jt did and the fact you still couldn't answer the question " if it were Canada that was attacked would you be of the same mindset? " Is in itself revealing UR true mindset whether conscious or unconscious. You just couldn't come out and excoriate muslims if they attacked Canada even in a hypothetical scenario. Some native Canadian... Finally, I always knew U were a muslim. Hint: next time drop the 'ahrab'
AlexandrostheGreat1 8 months ago

@mrmahrab1 Did I say you did? No the hypothetical scenario was muslim fanatics did it and you should excoriate fanatic muslims but you can't. That is evident. @mrmahrab1 Some could go on mass killing sprees. Others, maybe assassinate a person who is trying to change the world for the better. As well, some of these people are trying to find cures for cancer or end world poverty and help society and other people globally. The fact is that just because some people decide to be extreme and take dozens of lives, doesn't mean a group of people they're apart of thinks the exact same way.
mrmahrab1 8 months ago
@mrmahrab1 But you to obfuscate a problem with extraneous information, not pertaining to the issue at hand. It is a mosque and it was proposed as an in your face slap on America and New York. It will not be built.
AlexandrostheGreat1 8 months ago
@AlexandrostheGreat1 But that's the thing, the don't want to "slap anyone in the face" metaphorically. All the want is the ability to pray somewhere more accessible. I'm pretty sure the people who are planning to build the building where you can pray are not the ones who planned and murdered all those victims on 9/11.

37-they would desire to go forth from the fire, and they shall not go forth from it, and they shall have lasting punishment.

Al Qaeda and liberals both want the same thing: a mosque at ground zero.

what a load of bullshit, completley out of context, making Islam a victim now? How the hell did we get into that state of mind?

Every time I watch this particular clip, it just makes me want to applaud furiously. Keith Olbermann knows what the real deal is, and he speaks on a completely objective side. That is the only value I have in life: to remain objective on all counts. If the American people do not have the capacity to embrace objectivity and live for the greater society instead of themselves, then I fear for this country's future.

"applaud furiously"

"he just mean its not directly across the street"
Thats actually the irrelevant point. Parts of the plane wreckage were actually found one block beyond the one in dispute. "Straw-man-ing" some churches and "what not" is yet another "negative point".
"not going to be ... looking down on people"
Yet thats another irrelevant point as well. (Besides, it doesnt depend on me in any case. My opinion is that the property rights should be weighed as more important and treated accordingly.)

"racism and fear .. construction"
