As a minority woman I am embarassed to have Sotomayer appointed to the Supreme Court. Her own record and the Scotus overturning many of her rulings mean this woman is unfit to be on the Supreme court. We dont even have to take into account her speeches or membership to LaRaza and women only clubs. Her record speaks for itself.
Sonia Sotomayor is batting .333 when it comes to being overturned by the SC. The national average is somewhere around of .250. She has had four cases overturned, two of which were 5-4 decisions, one which was a 6-3, one an 8-0. So, of the four, two were within one justice of passing, and only one was a blowout.

The really sad thing about this situation is that all of those horrible things the conservatives are saying about Sonya Sotomayor are TRUE. She has more experience than any nominee in a hundred years, she has only had six cases out of 300+ reviwed by the supreme court, only four of whuch were overturned (which is better than the national average), and only two of those four were decided by more than one vote, and only one by more than 2. This is unqualified?

As a minority woman I am embarassed to have Sotomayer appointed to the Supreme Court. Her own record and the Scotus overturning many of her rulings mean this woman is unfit to be on the Supreme court. We dont even have to take into account her speeches or membership to LaRaza and women only clubs. Her record speaks for itself.

Sonia Sotomayor is batting .333 when it comes to being overturned by the SC. The national average is somewhere around of .250. She has had four cases overturned, two of which were 5-4 decisions, one which was a 6-3, one an 8-0. So, of the four, two were within one justice of passing, and only one was a blowout.
Not exactly the the "many rulings" you had claimed.

The really sad thing about this situation is that all of those horrible things the conservatives are saying about Sonya Sotomayor are TRUE. Don't listen to what the conservatives say; don't listen to what the liberals say. Listen to what Sotomayor has said and look at her rulings. She is so obviously racist and sexist AND inclined to ignore the constitution and legislate from the bench, that there can be no question that she is unfit to be a supreme court justice.

Oh, this is too funny. The women-only club she belongs to, The Belizian Grove, was formed as a response to The Bohemian Grove, an all-male club where lots of very powerful people gather to network (and also worship a giant stone owl), and they don't have an officail no men policy.
So essentially, what you're saying is that people that were excluded from a club and so formed their own in protest are the real bigots, not the people who wouldn't let them in the club in the first place.

It was a statement with a lot of qualifications: she *hoped* that a *wise* Latina woman *with* a wealth of experience makes better decisions than a (presumably average) White man *without* that experience. It's actually pretty hard to contradict that. She'd probably also agree that a wise and experienced White man would usually make better decisions than an average and inexperienced Latina woman.
