  • There is only one high priest, Our Lord Yeshua - the rest are false - Hebrews 6-10.

  • When someone has the Spirit of the True God he or she no longer sins : Hebrews 6-10

    1 John 5:2-5

  • Having a form of Godliness but denying the power thereof!

  • I really need help finding a church.

  • When I went to this church for the first time they gave me a book called "Key facts for new Christians", they sat me down and were feeding me information. Picking verse out from the Bible just to justify their point. They wanted me to speak in tongues, saying gibberish. I just felt uncomfortable and left. I want to at least know a bit of the Bible before anyone tells me information from the Bible.

  • I Corinthians 14:

2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh

    not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him;

howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

  • what about when Paul says that when a man speaks in a tongue, he is not speaking to men but to God? This is one of the verses I still havent wrapped my head aroun i know the pentecostal view of tongues is wrong, I myself felt that pressure to speak in tongues, and did it, then stopped because I felt it wasnt the Spirit... But if you could expound on this verse from your viewpoint it would help me... God bless you guys' ministry

  • @KnownbytheFruit

For Paul it was more important for the church to prophesy, i.e., give God the glory than compared to all speaking at once in tongues and cause mass confusion and even hysteria.

Please see my article in the description box for a verse-by-verse study on this area.

  • @KnownbytheFruit

It is an IDIOM, just like when he said "If I spoke in tongues of angels or men"

IDIOMS are all through the bible

  • @THERAPTURECOMES i am aware that there are many idioms in the Bible, but my AKJV says "though i speak", not if... and the context is speaking of specific gifts and how they should be used unto edifying with love for the brethren they are not allegories of other things... further, im not sure that I agree that 1 Corinthians 14:2 is idiomatic

  • Read The Creeds of Christendom vol. 1-3 by Phillip Shaff. They are sources that have evidence reveling unchangeable words in the Bible for over the 2,000 years of its existence. That should tell you the original language in witch it was written.

  • The Bible teaches us that Jesus had "the Spirit without measure", however there is no evidence He ever taught tongues, or practiced it.

  • What a bunch of ignorant & uninformed nonsense. if you dont believe in tongues then dont practicing them & keep your dead religion. There are an estimated 600 million tongue talkers in the world today. we are not going anywhere. my friend you have no understanding of scripture

  • @Revmostrite well that kind of comment is full of love, patience and kindness. that will win over many people to believe, i'm sure.

  • Some of this is wrong. Healing can come through prayer. Not to supernatural degrees like these charlatans claim. But if you are sick and pray to be well why would go not help you out? I agree the whole quick fix stuff is fake but to pray for healing is not useless. All things are possible in Christ so please don't be so depressingly close minded on that. If someone among you is sick pray for healing for them. Do not expect immediate or miraculous results but the lord may heal that person in time

  • It's a learned behavior. Jesus said that the Holy spirit will lead and guide you into all truth. Not help you speak in tongues.

  • I think that the child baptism is really meant as a dedication but yes it means nothing in how it is used today and they truly aren't saved until they themselves accept the Lord's gift for them and die to themselves. But I see no harm in performing some sort of dedication ceremony to the Lord that you will raise the child in knowing Him. Although this can turn into an extrabiblical thing and that is possibly how it started to begin with.

  • Excellent.

I just watched some videos of people who were showing how they speak in tongues. One man said that he didn't have to *try* to speak in his tongue(s), but that it "just comes automatically." Well, yes, this is how demons operate.

  • I used to critize charismatics until I became one myself. Jesus will empower he who believe in Him and miracle will hapen to those who truely seek. It does not matter if no meaninful words comes out of your mouth as long as you are speaking to God in your mind and in your psyche. He knows what you say to Him without a Human language. Language is just a tool a mean of human communication. In Heaven we wont be using any language. we will use music vibration to communicate our thoughts and praise.

  • @enochnguyen "In Heaven ...we will use music vibration to communicate our thoughts and praise"...sure would like Scripture confirmation on this one.

  • @enochnguyen God gave us language. So why does he want us to speak in another one? He can't understand you if you speak English? You said "no meaningful words." God wants us to speak no meaningful words?!? Did not he say, "But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil." Matthew 5:37 Is he not asking us to be clear in our speech? And, where does it say we will use music vibrations and such to communicate in heaven in the scriptures?

  • Good explanation! : )

  • Can you tell me whether such pastors that believe in speaking tongues, are still saved people ?

  • @whydidJesussaveme

I have no idea whether such people are saved or not. All I can do is open the word of God and examine them and tonuges in light of Scripture. Hope this helps?

  • Amen and amen!

  • Another great video.

  • Think about it. If in the process of believing in Cessationism by focusing on the counterfeits, you unwittingly speak against a true work/gift of the Holy Spirit. How are you not committing blasphemy against a work/gift of the Holy Spirit?

If you say that the Bible is the only way God speaks. then who's teaching the Bible to you? If God no longer speaks through the gifts that explain His word? Even the gift of teaching/preaching has to be by teachers who are taught by God...

  • You apply the context of Romans 11:29 gifts to national Israel, yet you cannot do the same for the context of 1 Corinthians 13:8, future tense "cease." - "when that which is perfect is comes." Namely, seeing Christ face to face. With all sincerity, focusing on the counterfeit and using them as justification to nullify Holy Scriptures clear contextual teaching on the gifts, merited this video a thumbs down. Christ warned about speaking against the Holy Spirit as blasphemy.

  • EXCELLENT teaching brother James!

  • And then as far as spiritual gifts are concerned, I would be happy just to have the fruits of the spirit. That's love and joy and peace and the whole list given in the Bible. If some mortal man came to my house and gave me a gift all nicely wrapped and it turned out to be just a piece of fruit, I might be a little disappointed, but not in the case of the Holy Spirit. With the Spirit, the fruits are even more valuable than the charismata!

  • If you want the gift of tongues, it's still available! You just need to take the time to learn them and you will have them. That's a great gift. It's not only for Christians, but Christians can have a unique perspective while doing it, marvelling at how marvellously God made the human brain so that we can learn how to think and speak in many languages.

  • @usenetposts LEARN? The souls that heard the gospel at pentacost, and then were saved did not LEARN tongues. They were speaking in their OWN native tongue. Just who is is that you are talking to when you do that? And most people are duped into thinking that they are speaking in tongues. Wherefore tongues are for a sign,...... THE JEWS SEEK SIGNS. Tongues have ceased.

  • @christineshires I do speak in tongues. About 20 different ones. I was on telly for it. I speak them in different circumstances, maybe to a client, or to my wife, or colleagues at work. Sometimes I just write them or sometimes I'm just reading in them or listening to something in them. But if you learn them you will get them. Tongues have not ceased at all, there are still at least 6,000 of them, which is less than there used to be. And then I don't understand your need to be antisemitic to me.

  • @usenetposts antisemetic? I am not antisemetic. I simply said that the Jews sought after signs. Which they did. Tongues are a sign. Sign gifts have ceased. God used the burning bush as a sign, God used the rod that moses held as a sign for the jews. We have the complete King James bible today. The cannon is closed. There are no more sign gifts. Can you prove that there are?

  • @christineshires The KJV does not actually seem to use the term "sign gifts", but all I can tell you is that I speak many tongues, and that it is a gift from God, even though I put work into learning them. This has nothing to do with burning bushes, which I never do. If I need to know the way I will look for a signpost or a waymarker. For example, if I am driving the car, I will look for roadsigns. But I do believe the goyim do the same as they would always turn up late everywhere.

  • @christineshires The proof is in the Scriptures themselves that say Christ is speaking to His sheep through His voice. John 10 is very clear. "Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice," Hebrews 3:7. The burden of proof is upon cessationists to proove that the word "cease" (παύω - pauō) in it's contextual usage in 1 Cor 13:8 is speaking of all the gifts. The foundational gospel is defined by the Scripture, and non of the gifts contradict it.Only Gnostic traditions

  • Rev 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. This verse is a clear indication of what the voice of the Lord sounds like. The isrealites heard God's voice, in Exodus, and they shuddered. Moses spoke to God many times, but where is the evidence that he spoke to God in TONGUES. I speak to God in English. Someone spanish speaks to God in spanish. NOT some gibberish nonone understands.
