Gorgeous weather to go flying. I always think the airports / airfields look so much more inviting in that light. Although everytime you land, you can't help but think of all those poor souls during the World Wars who were so happy to see their home airfield come into view.
The three smartest people I have ever known were women. I have a degree in Biochemistry and I am male. Sorry guys, but that is the way it is. This pilot is so competent - you go girl . . .
Man, you were too fast for that low altitude! Do you remember how many knots landing were you in 30 to 10? Before I first heard the IPIX land/take off system alarming "retard...retard...retard" I was wondering for that. Anyways, it was not that bad for your first land. Keep it up buddy!
Its not necessarily slow down, Retard is when you reduce thrust to idle so that your aircraft will continue so that the aircraft will touchdown. Pilots do this while the flare during landings so that there is less stress on the landing gear and so that you get a smoother landing.
@nikolaymikol yes it is. according to wat i know, the retard mode is used for thrust settings during landing. decreasing and increasing as per the conditions
how do you put airbus in reverse, like in a Boeing for example 737 they have reverse levers on the throttles in airbus a320 a330 a340 etc do they just continue to slide the throttles back pass idle
Continue pulling them back past idle, obviously there is a (not sure what it is called) a springy thing that provides tension so you don't accidentally put it in reverse.
@miniarma yes, dick lover, I own Wilco Airbus 1 and 2. In fact, cumswapper, I've flown them FSX for a couple hundred hours. What about you, you little hermaphrodite?
@aseglkj your hard flying on FSX wow ! Bet your parents are happy for you, go fly a real plane mate, I play FSX and its nothing compared to real world flying so go shove your FSX disk in your ass hole and tell you mum to go sow up her wizards sleeve
@aseglkj My interests have nothing to do with my maturity. I don't go around on youtube saying stupid little things to insult people, nor do I go completely off topic because I can't hold onto an argument. I say that I think you need to grow up, and you bring up the fact that I have an interest in anthropomorphic animal characters. @flynabil FYI, airbus has a better dark cockpit design and a much better layout of the panels. The sidestick takes some getting used to. most either hate it or love it.
@olioli917 you have a different taste which is good. I sat many times in the cockpit of an A320 and I can assure you it looks empty. Boeing layout might be conventional but it gives you the impression you are flying an aircraft and not a robot.
@xXSMEXISNICKERSXx No the way I started was by just going to the airport and looking for a sign that said "learn to fly"... Meet some people at the airport and walk around for a bit. Then you will start working on your private pilots license first. If you don't want to actually go there, you could also just look up flights schools on the internet for your local airport and call them. They will most likely take you on a "discovery flight" and introduce you to the world of flying".
@RainingCatsAndDog Interesting theory. Thank you for your response. If you're not sure, I'd still like someone who can supply an answer with a little more certitude. Again, thank you for taking time out to answer my question:0)
@shysterlicious There is no more 'certitude' necessary. The refresh rate, rated in hertz is higher than the refresh rate the camera is able to capture, and therefore produces the flicker.
As both a private pilot and a computer tech, I have experience in both fields.
At final approach near to touch town, the radio altimeter will guide the pilot by saying rate of descent ; 100, 50, 40... This is because it is not quick and accurate for a pilot to notice his rate of descent prior to flare by glancing the vertical speed indicator whereby at that crucial moment every second counts. More over the vertical speed indicator depends on the ambient pressure, means it is not accurate - this will be more significant during bad weather (ambient pressure unstable).
--->> For every cockpit landing video that you have watched, whenever you hear the radio altimeter SAY: 5 (FIVE!!!)... i could not agree more: IT WAS A DAMN GOOD LANDING!!!.
With airbus its takeing the pilot out of the pilot so if those automated systems were to fail the pilot would not have the expierence to fly the airplane because of those automated systems at least boeing and douglas make a MANS PLANE and you dont fly a plane with a joystick that should be use to play pac-man.
an airbus pilot has to give the same input into the aircraft as a boeing pilot, the only difference is airbus is fly by wire so the input goes to a computer before its executed. instead of a yoke its a sidestick, same function tho, it has throttle levers and rudder pedals like boeing. its the same functions just done differently. boeing also use full auto pilot systems., the pilot puts the same input into boeing and airbus, its just the system thats different thats all.
when boeing start developing and producing new aircraft to replace some ageing models they will be fly by wire im sure. its actually safer as the aircraft cant be pushed beyond its parameters. as for boeing being a mans aircraft, they're airliners, produced to ferry people to their destination as safely and efficiently as possible, thats why auto-pilot does all the flying, pilot enjoyment is low on the list. the only difference in flying an airbus is the sidestick instead of a yoke.
@dadojedado ait that hard just alot of dedication and of course finance im only 15 but i want and know that i will someday be sitting in a cockpit flying passengers to exotic destiantions :)
