@riverdude32 what road is that bridge over there? I've been trying to convince my dad to take me steelhead fishing up there but he doesn't want to because last time he went he caught nothing...
the problem with using lighter gear is it takes longer to land the fish witch can be harmful if you plan on practicing C&R looks like you guys had a great day no the less!!
Ive heard of people landing em on sixes but I own a five and I think you could get away with landing 15 in fish on 5 weights max. I use and 8 or 7 for most of my steeelhead fly fishn.
I've caught soooooo many fish in that spot
