Wow, a very interesting video. I don't feel bad for the lady who has returned to Germany though, I do as far as her having gone through what she endured during the holocaust but not about her returning to Germany. Germany is where she was originally from and that is just as much, and it was during WW2, her country as it is every other Germans. I'm really very shocked at this. I thought that Holocaust survivors were automatically taken care of with not lavish, but reasonable pensions and services. It doesn't take that much to subsidize these elderly people who endured so much. Both Germany and Israel should provide for them. They should have whatever they need or want. This is a disgrace.
Germany did pay. For over 60 years they were paying back to the jewish state of Israel and survivors. It wasnt until recently that they finished repaying the debt.
When one considers how wealthy financially Germany is and being head of Europe. It is high time, they pay a pension for all survivors of the holocaust. how can we as average citizens of the western world help these people who survived all of hitlers hell...i would love to know? i would gladly sponser a survivor. I may be a roman catholic but holy hell this is just wrong to be starving to death in the holy land after surviving all of the hells of world war 2. and I'm a single parent to a specail needs child here in Canada.. if i had been born at the time the world was happening or my son we both would have been murdered due to health issues.

Belzec was a death camp in the Ukraine which operated as a killing centre for Jews only until December 1942. Jews arrived by train and went straight to the gas chambers. In Jan 1943, the SS commander of Belzec sent a radio message to his senior in Crakow, copied to Adolf Eichman, stating that in total number of Jews killed was 434,508. The message was intercepted in Bletchley Park in the UK and the transcript is available to researchers in the national archive in Kew, England.

@atmchickluva The examples of you have given (indians; blacks etc) were consequences of a greater goal - expansionism; colonisation etc.
In the case of the Holocaust, the goal was purely extermination. The Nazis, in this instance, wanted neither expansion nor subjugation but only the erradication of a people. For me the reason why die Endlosung/Holocaust/Shoah is especially harrowing is that the human life that was lost was not a consequence, but the goal itself. xx

As for the Iraqis, maybe they should have get rid of Saddam on their own. I'm really very shocked at this. I thought that Holocaust survivors were automatically taken care of with not lavish, but reasonable pensions and services. It doesn't take that much to subsidize these elderly people who endured so much. Both Germany and Israel should provide for them. They should have whatever they need or want. This is a disgrace.

Germany did pay. For over 60 years they were paying back to the jewish state of Israel and survivors. It wasnt until recently that they finished repaying the debt.

When one considers how wealthy financially Germany is and being head of Europe. It is high time, they pay a pension for all survivors of the holocaust. It was they that disrupted all these peoples lives. Companies that used force labour are still trading....they should pay. A lot of Industrialists got rich from this attrocotiey

God bless 'em. The saddest part is when Elizabeth said she's use to hunger. SMH and in thier 80's, my grandmother is 86 and I'm glad I'm with her everyday...reminiscing on her younger days is something I can't buy so I'm cherishing it for real.

This is a heart braking truth, and unfortunately there will be those that will trump this up to a holohoax money scheme. it is not these people are real my grandfather was in a camp he was not jewish and i am not certain how he ended up there but he was a lot like esther... didn't care if he was hungry as long as everyone else had what they needed and he never wanted to burden anyone else with his problems...
