This clip makes PR sound more important than it really is. It is well recognised by lawyers that PR doesn't really add much. Father's without PR can and do make important decisions about their children's welfare on a day to day basis. And If there is a disagreement with the mother on any issue, that father can apply to the court for adjudication on that sepcific issue in exactly the same way a father with PR would. So PR is virtually irrelevant.
@samdathi Since when do you ever expect lawyers to tell the truth? I highly doubt that someone a father will go to court for adjudication just because he and the mother of his child disagree on a reasonable issue about raising their kid(s). I can see if one of the parents doesn't teach their kid responsibility or doesn't discipline. Like for example my mother taught me and my brothers and sisters not to listen to my dad and he could have done that and should have. Maybe there are who do that.
