Long live the Queen, long live her family. I'm pretty sure Princess Diana would be utterly happy right now to see Prince William and Kate together. ^_^
the way the gaurds carry her coffin, so lovingly crossing thier arms underneath one another, holding one another's shoulders, resting their other hand on the side and seemingly resting their heads on the side :'( Sooo beautiful and w/so much love.
this is realy sad princess diana was a beatifull person but she had to die like this god bless her she couldnt see the beatifull weding from kate midelton and her son prince william
her son is getting married today and i wish she was still here to see this day but i know she is in his heart and she is in everyone's heart on this happy day of her eldest sons wedding to kate :)
@Trund27 It is the tomb of the unknown warrior, laid to rest there in 1920 as a representative of all those who died in World War I. The red border is made up of poppies, the flower grown on the sites of the battlefields in France and Belgium and chosen as the British symbol of remembrance.
It was such a sad day, I cried and cried with millions of people in this world. God Bless Diana. May God Bless Prince William, his bride to be Kate and Prince Harry. I never forget when I saw the people threw all the roses on top of the car that carried her casket along the road.Big piles of flowers from the people that loved her , no one ever seen before. Amazing how much love that people were showing her.
with a heavy heart i bow my head and thank you for just excising you made the world a better place for the short time you were in it. to his almighty may he keep you and may your wings spread wide upon this country side
@formerjerseygal I don't believe she was, she stayed away from the 10th anniversary memorial service in 2007 so I'd imagine she was not at the Funeral either.
I think people are a bit hard on Camilla... she's William and Harry's step mum now and she's made their dad happy. By all accounts, Diana had made up with Charles by the time she died.
I know we had the TV on all day and recorded it, but I have to admit I don't remember a lot of this day, or of Diana herself. To quote Candle in the Wind: I would have liked to have known her, but I was just a kid.
" The Key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering"
She made mistakes just like the rest of us. She was human just like the rest of us. Unless we walked in her shoes we will never know what her life was really like. Her poor Son's she loved them so. Heart breaking that week was. I wonder if she hadnt married Charles if she would still be alive today. Bless her heart xx
We in Britain lost in Diana our greatest ever ambassador and our greatest potential for our greatest, most uniting and most caring and beloved Queen. But I guess we lost that when she and Charles divorced. Back to the same old establishment, the same lack of care for the most needy of our society. And now we have the Tories back. My life has seen hope won and lost, but we lost most in this young woman. It is true: this woman inspired billions across the world, not just here.
Hard to imagine on April 29,2011 at West Door of Westminster Abbey the people will be awaiting the arrival of in a beautiful dress and wearing Princess Diana's Engagment Ring Kate Middleton will ariving accompanied by her father to be married to Future King of England Prince William.Diana will be smiling the whole day
This commentary was much, much better than CNN! The guy on CNN Bernard Shaw was god AWFUL! He kept getting the names of the princes wrong and he kept calling Prince Philip the wrong name! God the Americans were annoying but we couldn't get the BBC or ITN coverage! We miss you still Diana!
@samuelflower - Americans do this. In fact, Americans are terrible at formality & make comical attempts to do so. I remember when the Queen came for the state visit & had dinner at the White House, George Bush's wife kept referring to the Queen & her husband Phillip as "Their Majesties", which is not correct - she's the only Majesty of the pair, he's a Highness. I'm American, BTW!! ;)
When the royal family thinks about who should actually succeed Elizabeth II, they should remember that Diana's funeral in September, 1997, is the most watched televised even in the history of television, more than the Obama inauguration, more than any World Cup final, more than Michael Jackson's funeral or the Pope's. 2.5 billion people watched this funeral live! That is how much this lady was loved. For the sake of the monarchy, it must be William V.
I must admitt, this was a most beautiful funeral. I saw this funeral on the American networks. CNN, NBC,ABC and I was glued to my seat. Thanks for uploading
I must admitt, this was amost beautiful funeral. I saw this funeral on the American networks. CNN, NBC,ABC and I was glued to my seat. Thanks for uploading
Diana was a victim of extreme papparazzi that taunted her last ride in the that Mercedes Benz and drunk driving. If driver Henri whats-his-name wasn't drunk, she would be alive today. End of story.
Stop speculating that she was murdered. This was not a murder, just a tragic circumstance that involved very irresponsible and insensitive people.

@shaftaloo11 ,You may have misheard the commentary. She was 21 when she attended the funeral Of HSH Princess Grace of Monaco, back in 1982,(formerly the American actress,Grace Kelly).Diana was 36 when she died. But,yes, still tragically young at 36,& certainly, she WILL be missed, always.
@shaftaloo11 she was 37 yrs old.. i can remember her wedding, and i remember when she was first photograhed with one of her charges in her hand and the skirt showing her legs! lol! those where the days a young woman who was overwhelmed and overwhemled celebrity and redefined how the royal family works to this day.. Her death was a complete shock to us here, i admit that i cried that day, i couldnt believe it i never cry for public figures but i did for her because she was much more than that.

@ramlinros They didn't have to look very far for her killer. It was Henri Paul, acting under direction of his employer Mohammed "Al" Fayed who killed her, Dodi and himself. Have you not paid any attention to the three huge and very expensive investigations that have taken place?
@ramlinrose2 He was drunk, he'd downed 2 Ricards in the bar of the Ritz. Mohammed "Al" Fayed let him drink on duty then ordered him to drive the car because he's unscrupulous and had a shambolic security arrangement for Diana. You should check out some of the documentaries on my channel page, I'm sure you'd find them interesting.
What an incredible world we live in. Some of these comments are disgusting. Pansy is just sick. Tom Flemming is insufferable. What an ego. Shut up already. God Save the Queen. She took a really bum rap through all of this and she didn't deserve it. She's a good old gal and I think the Princess loved and respected. Diana, Rest In Peace. Your boys turned out wonderful.
@DESERTROSE022889 An agent of the Al-Fayed organisation named Henri Paul was directly responsible for her death. He was acting on instructions of his uber-boss, Mohammed Al-Fayed.
@ChrisMeerkat I've followed the voluminous investigations into the deaths over the years, most recently the Inquest, and I notice all that were independent of the "Al" Fayed organisation find that he bears considerable responsibility for the Princess's death. The evidence is that his arrangements for her safety were a shambles and his motives in raising conspiracy theories are a smoke screen tactic to deflect blame from him.
Plenty of theories,Plenty of evidence.a lot points towards foul play.I was on a nightshift the night it happened.I watched the T.V and listened to the 1st eyewitnesses being interviewed..Some said they saw her on her feet for a while. That leads to the question; Why did the ambulance sit a couple of minutes away from the hospital for so long? what about those letters that Di wrote about Charles plotting to kill her in a car crash? who knows what happened but Al Fayed didn't write those letters...
@ChrisMeerkat Plenty of evidence that completely discredits claims of foul play. If you paid attention to the actual evidence rather than speculation, concotion and, in some cases, obvious lies you would find ready answers to the points you have raised.
Makes me sad that some people, after all this time, are still so gullible.
@tribecom... So in one breath u are saying that Diana was murdered by Al Fayad and in the next u are ruling out foul play... U are confusing! Make up your mind! Or are u ruling out foul play on anybody else's part except Al Fayad? Correct me if i'm wrong but hasn't he campaigned with some tenacity for years for an independent inquiry... Why would somebody kill there own son and then spend years campaigning 4 an inquiry into the murder? I'm not gullible at all m8...
If you look closely, I'm not saying Diana was murdered at all. I am saying it has been proved that Fayed bears considerable responsibility for the deaths through negligence. You may not have noticed but there were three independent inquiries. The last of those, the Inquest, was held in front of an impartial jury and even with three of the most talented lawyers alive (Mansfield, Keen & Croxford) to argue his case, Fayed's nonsense still didn't stand.
@tribecatom... Haha u r very contradictory of yourself... Heres a reminder of what u wrote...@ramlinros They didn't have to look very far for her killer. It was Henri Paul, acting under direction of his employer Mohammed "Al" Fayed who killed her, Dodi and himself....... U see, to me that looks like u are pointing a finger at Al- Fayed...
@LucyCannibleyones The unknown soldier was a British soldier killed in the First World War. There is no knowledge of his name or rank and he was chosen to respresent all the British men and women who died fighting that war and was laid to rest in the Abbey in 1920. As you can see, his grave is surrounded by red poppies, the British symbol of war remembrance.
@2468HOTROD There's a body in it, wouldn't make sense to construct a grave, have a funeral procession in front of the King and then have nothing in it. Have you been to Westminster Abbey?
I've noticed that "God Save the Queen" is sung at different places at royal funerals. Here, at the very beginning. Is there a reason for this and who decides?
I was taught at School that if the Queen is present at any funeral in Great Britain (or nation of which she is Head Of State), the National Anthem of Greath Britain is sung at the beginning of the service.
My Grandma said that ' I never understood how revolutions happen, until the death of Princess Diana'. The public outpouring of grief was overwhelming and unbearable, stoked up by the tabloids.
No she is not a horrible person, perhaps one with too much responsibility thrust upon her, but she has been an honorable and human person throughout her "reign" She deserves repect for accepting a failing role in a world ready to discard that which she pledged to uphold. What ever failings we burden her, she has stood fast to her role and performed it well. If the Monarchy has to go, so be it, but don't blame her for the world's change.
seriously she is such a horrible person, i remember watching her tribute and i was thinking "you dont mean a thing your saying"
cause the fact is, the queen hated diana she hated anybody whom she didnt see fit to be a royal... anybody different... anybody that was anything but a royal
and diana was that... and thats what set diana apart from the rest of the royals... she was the most beautiful and most graceful royal ever
Don´t hate the Queen . She have done very much in the 2nd. world war like a voluntaire for the injuries . Diana really was a very very good woman, I agree with you and God probably wanted to have her joined him in haven .
Rest in peace...Your Royal Highness...May your spirit be free in the skies to watch over us all until our time comes to join your presance in heven...We all love you. God bless our angel.
I will never forget where I was when I first heard of Diana's accident. Diana was a hero to me growing up and I still miss her as do many many others. She is a cannon for humanity and may we all share in continuing her work as she lay resting in peace. God love Diana, Princess of Wales and God save the Queen! xxxx
Mon Dieu, je regarde cette video, et je pleure comme au premier jour, et je le redis, elle n est pas patie , elle est toujours avec nous, si belle si gracieuse, elle n est pas morte, elle vie ....
I have a postcard of her picture in Bosnia, taken a few month before she died. I always post-it on my wall in my bedroom every August, just for memorize of her life..gosh...i cry now....even i don't know her, i believe she guide me and protect me everyday. Oo, darling Diana..you're still my princess in my heart. I miss you so much and I always pray for your soul. God Bless You Diana, God Save My Princess...
Last night I dreamed of Princesse Diana. She gave me a hug and advised me to keep my faith strong. I can't help but watching every clip of her on youtube...
I was nine when this happened, and I remember everything. The news had said she would be fine, then hours later she was dead. My mother has never cried so hard as she did when we woke oh so early to watch such a beautiful service. R.I.P. Princess Diana!
Thank you for posting this solemn event. My mother woke me up very early in the morning to watch Diana and Charles marry in what everyone thought was a "fairy tale"...
Who would have EVER thought this would be the ending?
I am encouraged and strengthened by the Bible verses that you have posted.
God Bless you Diana

@tribecom... So in one breath u are saying that Diana was murdered by Al Fayad and in the next u are ruling out foul play... U are confusing! Make up your mind! Or are u ruling out foul play on anybody else's part except Al Fayad? Correct me if i'm wrong but hasn't he campaigned with some tenacity for years for an independent inquiry... Why would somebody kill there own son and then spend years campaigning 4 an inquiry into the murder? I'm not gullible at all m8...
ChrisMeerkat 1 year ago
If you look closely, I'm not saying Diana was murdered at all. I am saying it has been proved that Fayed bears considerable responsibility for the deaths through negligence. You may not have noticed but there were three independent inquiries. The last of those, the Inquest, was held in front of an impartial jury and even with three of the most talented lawyers alive (Mansfield, Keen & Croxford) to argue his case, Fayed's nonsense still didn't stand.
The jury wasn't as gullible as you are.
tribecatom 1 year ago
@tribecatom... Haha u r very contradictory of yourself... Heres a reminder of what u wrote...@ramlinros They didn't have to look very far for her killer. It was Henri Paul, acting under direction of his employer Mohammed "Al" Fayed who killed her, Dodi and himself....... U see, to me that looks like u are pointing a finger at Al- Fayed...

tribecatom 2 years ago
this maybe a supid questin but what is the unknown soldier?
LucyCannibleyones 2 years ago
@LucyCannibleyones The unknown soldier was a British soldier killed in the First World War. There is no knowledge of his name or rank and he was chosen to respresent all the British men and women who died fighting that war and was laid to rest in the Abbey in 1920. As you can see, his grave is surrounded by red poppies, the British symbol of war remembrance.
tribecatom 2 years ago
ah thanks that clears that up. R.I.P. Dianaxx
LucyCannibleyones 2 years ago
I've read before that this grave is only symbolic, that no body is actually buried in this space. Is that right?
2468HOTROD 2 years ago
@2468HOTROD There's a body in it, wouldn't make sense to construct a grave, have a funeral procession in front of the King and then have nothing in it. Have you been to Westminster Abbey?

I've noticed that "God Save the Queen" is sung at different places at royal funerals. Here, at the very beginning. Is there a reason for this and who decides?
nauort23 2 years ago
I was taught at School that if the Queen is present at any funeral in Great Britain (or nation of which she is Head Of State), the National Anthem of Greath Britain is sung at the beginning of the service.

My Grandma said that ' I never understood how revolutions happen, until the death of Princess Diana'. The public outpouring of grief was overwhelming and unbearable, stoked up by the tabloids.
cooper91 2 years ago 10
No she is not a horrible person, perhaps one with too much responsibility thrust upon her, but she has been an honorable and human person throughout her "reign" She deserves repect for accepting a failing role in a world ready to discard that which she pledged to uphold. What ever failings we burden her, she has stood fast to her role and performed it well. If the Monarchy has to go, so be it, but don't blame her for the world's change.

i cannont stand the queen
seriously she is such a horrible person, i remember watching her tribute and i was thinking "you dont mean a thing your saying"
cause the fact is, the queen hated diana she hated anybody whom she didnt see fit to be a royal... anybody different... anybody that was anything but a royal
and diana was that... and thats what set diana apart from the rest of the royals... she was the most beautiful and most graceful royal ever

She is a cannon for humanity and may we all share in continuing her work as she lay resting in peace. God love Diana, Princess of Wales and God save the Queen! xxxx

why did she died?

She was killed in a car crash in Paris on 31 August 1997. The driver had been drinking and was employed by Mohammed Fayed, the owner of Harrods.

Thank you for posting this solemn event. My mother woke me up very early in the morning to watch Diana and Charles marry in what everyone thought was a "fairy tale"...
Who would have EVER thought this would be the ending?
I am encouraged and strengthened by the Bible verses that you have posted.
Again,
THANK YOU
