GS is irrelevant since both aircraft are getting the same tailwind. This depicts the straight difference between TAS between the 310 and Arrow.

Nice aircraft.. the turbo Arrow IV !
Having flown both planes, I must say that the Arrow
pilot, though slower, ended up with more cash in the bank and a less polluted environment.
But the C310 is a nice performer too.

Thanks, we have had 11 different planes from a C-172 to a Piper Mojave including Turbo Arrow III and we are in love with the C310!

It is common in our country that when you're flying over the Andes at high altitudes you have very strong winds, you can find 100 kts or more.
