  • listening michael brecker's version of summertime and then this right after is what i assume it would be like to be a pinapple express lol

  • @Toadsb It's an older vintage Link. Either a Double Ring or Florida. But just a Otto Link with an Olegature. Brightness is all him.

  • that ain't no Link. Maybe a Larson?

  • I pretty sure his mouth piece is metal. not sure about whether it's a link or not.

  • The man is a freak!!! and I love him for it.

  • He sure is filling the Brecker void nicely. Nice marketing move Potter.

  • @SneakyTeaBag I wonder if this piece was inspired at all by Brecker's "Arc of the Pendulum."

  • does anyone know for sure potter's currant mouthpiece? if its still a link im pretty sure its a modified version at least

  • I don't understand why the CD version of Ultrahang is that crap... This is one of my favorite music from Chris, except on album where I don't even listen to it... :'( Check out the Godor concert, simply amazing..

  • Dude, 6:34-6:45 is the best...So rhythmically and harmonically advanced.

  • you know something is screwed up with the world when this only has 5,900 views.

  • 6:56 !!

  • Anyone can be as good as him just dedicate and love the sax BTW Chris is amazing

  • Iv'e probably heard this song a million times and it's still awesome.

  • what is that ligature? It's not a rovner of any sort and I don't think its an olegature either. Is it the one that comes with that mouthpiece maybe and if so what is it?

  • @evilaqualad714 it is an olegarture

  • Can anyone articulate as fast as Potter? I don't think so.

  • @MrDjwage I don't think his articulation is that fast. It's still amazing, but definitely not the fastest. Especially when you listen to classical saxophonists. Even I can tongue as fast as him, practiced with a metronome for a few years and found myself tonguing faster. BUT I wish I could play like him. I'm still a novice -_- It's the way he puts those articulations with the notes in that one beat of the bar...

  • @MrDjwage

    besides cannonball? Nahhh

Thats why sax is so hard for me...when to tongue, slur, finger, etc. GRRR

  • @MrDjwage go listen to michael brecker play round midnight lol or just in general

  • Is there a way to download vids from youtube? Because I've seen this video before somehow, and then it was gone..

  • @BeatsNKarats Download Helper to download streaming video.

  • Man, his sound is so fat on that horn. He's always had a big sound, but that new MK VI really suites him.

  • @MrSaxotomitry

Chris bought that horn at tenormadness in Iowa. He was playing a SBA before that. That mark VI must be just a mean machine.

  • niiiiiiicccccccccceeeeeeeeee

  • Chris Potter is god

  • @DisciplinedAuthority The God is Coltrane, but Potter is a genius!

  • ahh, been waiting for this track! Amazing and fantastic quality, thank you!
