I used to have the top rated comment on this vid, I posted something about I wish they could get back together, must be something wrong with YouTube. I seen another comment that had 27 "thumbs up" when I looked for mine from about 2 years ago. Nevertheless, from the top of my lungs, I THINK I LOVE YOU!!
Wow, that was the right video at the right time. That took me back to 8 years old sitting on my moms family room rug trying to keep my sisters off my Hot Wheels and watching the Partridge Family. I would sell my soul to go back instead of lugging around the weight of world on my shoulders. By the way, I loved the Partridge Family, but I hated when they sang songs, guess it was the boy in me. Don't wish you life away kids, it's leaving you as we speak.
Lead Vocal David Cassidy, backing vocals: Bahler Brothers ( Shirley did not sing) Drums Hal Blaine, Guitar Larry Carlton, bass Joe Osbourne, The first Nilli Vanilli
@ojmccaf63 Yes she was a musical actress, originally David was not to sing either but he convinced the producers he could. The rest of the cast members, were the Pre Nilli Vanilli
very hard to believe it was so very long ago since I watched my fave David I think every Fri. night sitting in front of a big old tv watching this very show. Yes, to many they are totally fake and corny but I'm an oldie and still love 'em. thanks for posting this.
This kind of music reminds some of us of that innocent times. In our lives when teen idols and there bubble gum songs swept us off our feet and made us happy.
Is there anyone out there who can relate to those awkward, preteen, tingly, bitter sweet feelings I get when I hear this? This takes me back to Bus 77, 8th grade, day before Christmas break in Dec. '72. I had been watching Jill for past three months, but just couldn't get up the guts to speak to her til that afternoon. The bus was crowded and Jill had no choice but to sit in the seat next to me. A few glances between us turned into phone numbers exchanged by the end of the ride.
Wow, am I the only one watching a shit quality video or what? I'm watching everything else just fine, but this thing is a POS! Hope its just having issues, if not why is it still up?

I got to see David Cassidy when I was 13. I was a big fan of the show. Love his singing BUT I couldn't hear him at the concert. The place was packed with screaming girls.
Hilarious. My very 1st Album was The Partridge Family. My 2nd was The Osmonds - One Bad Apple. I actually remember this episode. Then again I was only 12 years old in 1970 when the show 1st aired. At the time there was only about a dozen TV channels even if you had cable. Not much on TV. At least not where I grew up in Austin Tx. Anyway, that was then, this is now.
@browsemusicvideos lots of great shows!!!! Bewitched, I dream of Jeannie, That Girl, etc.. I was 10 in 1970 and loved TV,, Green Acres, Gomer Pyle, Andy Taylor....and the Partridge Family.
Such a nostalgic song, but something just occured to me, now I am older than maid Alice was back then. This song is 41 years old this October as I recall!
@hotstuffandicecream I once told a girl in college "I think I love you" and we just celebrated our 33rd year together. LOVE IS GOOD! // I did the same thing, 30 years ago. She just said: "I don't want to have problems". LOVE IS GOOD sometimes...
Song could have been a lot better without all that starting and stopping, killed the momentum. Video could have been better without all that junk in the front.
Great Vid, and if you can't appreciate GOOD music, you REALLY need to keep your comments to yourself!! This is an ALL TIME FAVORITE of ANYONE who was born in the 50s!!!!
Great song, Shirley was fantastic for this part. Love Susan Day , although her voice is never heard. Danny was always buisness, David Cassidy AKA Keith was the voice. Still very good stuff.
@blackforest270 --- Hey, I thought Shirley Jones looked hot in 1971 when I was 8, and she definitely looks hot to me in this video now 40 years later. I know --- shut up and drink my MILF. (LOL)
Bought the DVD series. Love these guys. and like I was taught...if you can't say something nice, say nothing. Some of you people are rude, and that's your right, but don't try to bring the rest of us down to your level. The rest of us like to remember good things.

People who were really into the movement were labeled as "Feminists". It was a big deal at the time. Nowadays, why women still do not get total equel rights its no longer a big deal. This episode of the show has to deal with Women's Liberation.
@SuperSian24 No, actually its not. I'm a huge HUGE fan of David Cassidy and The Partridge Family and I'm in my early teen years. It's truly ok to appricate classic media when your young and its ok to be diffrent as well. I LOVE 1970s pop culture and I HATE moderen pop culture So I do not keep up with it. I'm basicaly a hippie.
@gertie1999 I think you're cool! It's so refreshing to know that the younger generation isn't all perverted and raunchy and ruined by today's music/TV, etc. I wish the Powers That Be would recognize that we want some MUSIC again! Not this crap they play today.
@dawnclark64 No, it is not. If you don't like this then why did you even bother to look it up? Gay should NOT Be used as an insult to anybody or anything in my opinion.
I'm 17 and I grew up with the Oldies if that makes sense haha, I love music and I love how everyone used to sing about love and everyday things back then, instead of what we hear now on the radio. I abosolutely love the Oldies.
@debprobst Don't you hate how they treated David on the Celebrity Apprentice? No respect at all. And he was much more famous (and wealthy) than that idiot that Trump saved. I thought, "Trump is running for president?" No way would I vote for him. No taste. He dumped DC.
I love Mom's outfit! I've lived long enough to have worn some of those clothes and see them coming back into current trends. A David Cassidy was simply DREAMY lol
Those were the days! My absolute favorite was David Cassidy! He was gorgeous inside and out! I dreamed of him and could not wait to watch the tv program every week. I want to hug and thank him for his talent, Shirley Jones and David made the show!
If you're a fan of The Partridge Family, you'll probably like the fun and free weekly podcast, Echo Valley, which celebrates the great bubblegum music from the 1960's and 1970's! There's Partridge Family music almost every week! Give it a try!

Just Google "Echo Valley Bubblegum"!

My favorite song from the Family. Yes, I had the album. I was about 11. I love David's fashion in the series.
