Like I said below, start with hypnothoughts dot com. It's a free site for people interested in hypnosis. It has over 100 free videos hundreds of practicing hypnotherapists on their that contribute new content every day.
I teach classes that you are welcome to attend. There are many other instructors on that site so you can find someone you want learn from. Find someone who's style you really like and do your homework. Books are good, but make sure the classes have hands on practice too.
This is interesting, however I would like to see you post a formal induction of some kind. You talk a lot about hypnosis in your videos, but have never posted an actual hypnotic induction. This was cool...but let's see the real thing! :-)
Maybe a relaxation induction? Or one to help with general motivation? (It would go well with your video on motivation, which I thought was well done) I'm one of those highly analytical types who find it hard to "let go", so I've never been able to achieve more than a very light trance. How about something for that? Anyway, keep up the good work!
it takes a weekend to get a CHt. designation --- you are not treated with hypnosis but through hypnosis one learn hypnosis in 20 min. but it takes years to learn proper hypnothrapy
Couldn't agree with you more. I'm not sure what this post is actually in response to, or if it is just a general statement, but you are correct. Maybe you would want to bring this thought to the new discussion board on my site.
I am chairman of the Indiana hypnotist committee and owner of the Carmel Hypnosis center I would be glad to be pat of a discussion group that promotes ethical hypnosis in the healthcare arena

go to hypnothoughts dot com if you want to communicate more about hypnosis. It's totally free, it's like myspace for hypnosis.
