  • Love this; like The Petals "Poisoned Air", The Lyres" "How did you know" and" most United States of Existence this Paisley Underground revivalist track really hits the spot. Check out Mood 6, Prisoners, Dentists and The Thanes for similar class. Compare and contrast this to drivel like "Vogue" by Madonna, which is limp, camp, derivative dog excrement.

  • i have this song on the "falling 14th worst overcoat" EP on moxie records

  • pity the rendering was bogus....+ great song

  • Thank you ntheAttic. That's a first listen for me and I love it.

  • Hey now. Greg Watson of the Orange Alabaster Mushroom was a member of 14th Wray earlier and his music was released under this band's name, the 14th Wray, and this track is one of them, originally released by his old band.

  • @syrennn thank you! case closed. there you go.

...cassette release, despite it not really being a proper 14th Wray song as the full band didn't play on it, we'd never played it live, etc. Then things got more complicated when Moxie wanted to include it on the "Try One of These" EP, and then years later when Stomp asked to include it on the "Time Machine" comp CD. When Earworm released my LP, they too wanted to include it and I figured that since it was a proto-OAM song that it fit. Hopefully that clears it up!

  • @GrogOAM This is cool, thank you for the reply! But why the first part got hidden?? I can see it in my inbox, there is the beginning of it!

  • @GrogOAM

    Here's my version:

The other 14th Wray guitarist couldn't make it to a recording session, so the drummer suggested we try "one of Grog's songs", just for the hell of it. Since the bassist knew his parts for "Your Face...", and the drummer had written the lyrics, we decided to try it (with me playing organ). The second take wasn't too bad, so I added tremolo fuzz guitar, vocals and the backwards guitar solo. Since it turned out so well, the drummer insisted that it be included on the

  • Yeah this is definitely Orange Alabaster mushroom and not a cover either. It's their version

  • @paisleylou123 oh fuck you dolts. i have a cd of canadian bands up to 1995. this song is on it by the 14th wray. Is the label lying? am I?

  • toccata and fugue by bach for the intro

  • This song is played by Orange Alabaster Mushroom, not by The 14th Wray.

  • maybe its a cover? i got it offa compilation cd of canadian punk and garage bands.

  • @Bastardoc: Nope, it's a 14th Wray song. They pre-date the Orange Alabaster Mushroom by a few years. The Time Machine comp that this song is on is pretty fantastic too.

  • @1976Rye - Whether it's a 14th Wray song or not, this is the OAM version of it, released on Space & Time: A Compendium of The Orange Alabaster Mushroom. Listen to other vids of the OAM song and compare.

  • @1976Rye thank you!! gotta get these self righteous bad acidheads offa my back. i tell them where its from and they act like im lying or something. i dont know about orange alabaster so i couldnt have a constructive argument,,only repeat where i got it from. cheers.
