thanks dude for uploading. most techniques origin directly from judo, but u have added some components there, like in sutemi-waza. respect, u gyus are pretty tough to beat, would be nice 2 challenge.
RedOnChrome: thank you so much! It's all relative, I was handled like a fool in Moscow but it taught me so much. It's all either front-corner or back-corner movement; check out as much Okano and Hirano as you can on You Tube. There isn't much of the Russians that I like, but maybe that will change in the near future...
incredible display of skill and technique, i hope one day to have half your skill and fluency in the takedowns, throws, lock and counters you possess. purely inspirational.
you cant say anything about how skillful a person is from watching unresisted demos. All it shows is that he understands the mechanics of the technique, nothing more.
that is a cool display - ok seriously really what is the major difference between BJJ and Sambo? Dont they have the same roots? To me it looks like Sambo incorporates more Judo than BJJ and that is about where the difference ceases. If anyone can give me some feed back I would appreciate it. Thanks
Thank you! you're pretty close. Both BJJ and Sambo are heavily influenced by Judo. The sport/tournament rules emphasize position/chokes&armbars for BJJ and throws/leglocks&armbars for Sambo...that's a very BASIC description; there's more if you are willing to cross over to the dark side ;-)
You could beat me up. So, i amend my previous statement, u iz t3h good looking! I can has not ass kicking plz?
But honestly, i love these slow technical videos. Not instructional vids, just some good solid technique being performed on a compliant partner. I seriously love it, it makes my mind race, and gets me eager to get back to the gym.

Both BJJ and Sambo (also Judo for that matter) come from traditional Ju-Jitsu where Combat Sambo also has strikes... just like in trad. Ju-Jitsu
Nice vid. tho- like it (y)

Cool...
Fantastic compilation showing multiple variations of the throws/locks/counters.
I think I picked up a new leg lock escape for my no-gi game watching this.
