I remember watching the GWF on ESPN after escaping from high school back in the day. Always fun. Favorites included Taylor (who wasn't on nearly enough), Cactus Jack (who cracked my friends & I up when he K-O'ed himself with a steal chair) and Maniac Mike Davis (Moon-rock! Been there!). Those were the days!

Yeah dude, I was in JHS during those years. ESPN also used to show renegades of wrestling back in the day (USWA). Man the 1990's had really good indie wrestling.

@supershqipa you are so right. I'd rush home to catch stuff like this on tv. At the early part of the 2000s the Metro channel would re-air some of the USWA stuff on saturdays. I'd like to see a channel bring that old stuff back(maybe espn classic)

Yeah Tugboat Taylor is alive and well in Houston, has his own promotion and wrestling school. I don't think he's the same Tugboat who was in the WWF though.
