@x3halo =) anyone who has the willpower and craziness to buy one of these is a cuber to some extent, so obviously they could solve it no problem...well except for blizzardkb. But he's special=)
its not harder too solve as 7x7 or megaminx. its just a combination of both..bigger centers like 7x7 and more colors like megaminx...think it just takes longer but woulnt be harder to solve....
great argument xD why it is harder? ;) its just bigger..you just need 1-2 more algorithsm for reconstruct this cube to a cube like megaminx..just the same as 7x7 reconstruct as a 3x3..there are just 2 algs too....teraminx wouldnt be more...
because there are just a fex teraminxes avaible xD the only new algorithm is one algo to solve the last inner edges befor u start solving as a normal megaminx...
the "files" are... lets just say u can put them in solidworks to view the pieces and u can print them out using a 3d printer. not entirely sure im still new to solidworks and 3d printing. :D
lol, not free. student edition costs 70$. but u cannot print out parts. full version is very expensive. not sure what price is. there is a free 90 day trial.
(i dont know too much about solidworks so i migth be wrong) when i look at file, theres an option that says 3D printing. and then once u click it, it says 3 options (only one works for me and its local driver) and the 3d printing option isnt availible in the student edition.
I know that these are sold for 2000 the petaminx is for free, but what about the gigaminx? i have seen people doing it so often now... are the files for it acessable for everyone?
Kind of wish you sold just the core and one of each different piece on the Teraminx/Gigaminx, that way, the assembly, time to make it, supplies, stickers, and all have to be done by the buyer. Hell, I'd do it.
Imagine if this Teraminx would have Rubik's-type mechanism. Then it would be hard as hell to first put the middle edges in, then put all the corners in, then force the 5x5x5 equivalent pieces in between them and finally force the 7x7x7 equivalent pieces in with high risk of breaking the parts.
i used a program caled solid works to make a small F1 car that should travel 25 meters in less than 1s i designed it and there was someone who cut it out of plastic and wod for some parts bt maybe you should try the program for designing the parts
Ok, I envy you people for being smart enough to build something like this, but whoever DOES build one of these things has wayyy too much time on their hands..
ah that must have taken you so long to cast all those tiny pieces! good job putting it together, i complain about just putting together my 4x4 or 5x5 haha.

also, what resin and mold did you use?

why the heck would a v7 take longer than a teraminx to assemble?

Drewseph0011 2 years ago
are some of those internal pieces like v-cube parts?
RedRoost80 2 years ago
the whole thing is based on the v-cube mech. however it has been adapted for 12 sides instead of 6
Drewseph0011 2 years ago
I thought the ball would have been smaller and the pieces be more into the core such as a v cube 6 or 7
