  • how many pieces are there?

  • Even if I can't solve one. I love to get a collection of these things just to mess around with.

  • Shit's stupid

  • thumbs up if you watched this video cuz u took yours apart and cudn't figure out how to put it back together

  • How long did it take for you to make this? (start being when you first got the idea)

  • you sound like a cowboy from a 1950s film.

  • soooo... wat does it do?

  • wtf are you making a bionicle?

  • @b0n3z27 dude, hes making a teraminx, look it up

  • @b0n3z27 a what?

  • i disassembled my teraminx to put lubix in :P. Assembly time!

  • "Holy god, I made that look easy"... To who, einstein?

  • i bet any person solving this thing will think twice before cheating lol

  • @x3halo =) anyone who has the willpower and craziness to buy one of these is a cuber to some extent, so obviously they could solve it no problem...well except for blizzardkb. But he's special=)

  • most of it is one color XD

  • so do ya sell these or what?

  • its not harder too solve as 7x7 or megaminx. its just a combination of both..bigger centers like 7x7 and more colors like megaminx...think it just takes longer but woulnt be harder to solve....

  • your sooooo wrong dude

  • great argument xD why it is harder? ;) its just bigger..you just need 1-2 more algorithsm for reconstruct this cube to a cube like megaminx..just the same as 7x7 reconstruct as a 3x3..there are just 2 algs too....teraminx wouldnt be more...

  • if it is just bigger why hasn't anyone solved it yet

  • because there are just a fex teraminxes avaible xD the only new algorithm is one algo to solve the last inner edges befor u start solving as a normal megaminx...

  • 2nd post: sure it was solved....

  • A few people have...

  • its probably a reverse scamble

  • i wonder will the super teraminx exist in the future....the center will be very hard to solve....

  • @cubefan3 MY IDEA!! xD

  • Hmm...This is an alternative way to solve Teraminx!!!

  • it's probably easier to build one than to solve one..lol

  • its just like a v-cube7

  • a v-cube 7 with 12 sides XD

  • ...no . . .

  • wow i want to try to assemble it myself.......and after finised i could run away...with the teraminx..

  • @cubefan3 lol

  • ...and i thought the Eastsheen 4x4 was hardest to assemble.

  • @ILCAC3 eastsheen 4x4s are fucking annoying to assemble! haha, but i agree, compared to this beast...

  • Where do you get the parts form?

  • The corners look like v-cube corners

  • I released the V1 petaminx files to teh interwebstubes last christmas

  • interweb lol^^

  • i don't get it tri means three, penta means five, these minixs are only one layer apart, where is quad or four?

  • The pefixes are the ones used for computer space: mega-byte mega-minx; giga-byte giga-minx; tera-byte tera-minx; etc.

  • ok that makes a lot of sence, thank you.

  • no kilo-minx?

  • im new to modding ( only made a fisher cube, and going to make a 2x2x1 and a pillow cube) whats this "files" and can you give me any tips? thank =D

  • @bumrang.

the "files" are... lets just say u can put them in solidworks to view the pieces and u can print them out using a 3d printer. not entirely sure im still new to solidworks and 3d printing. :D

  • whats solidworks? can i get it or find it for free?

  • lol, not free. student edition costs 70$. but u cannot print out parts. full version is very expensive. not sure what price is. there is a free 90 day trial.

  • yeah, but youi still cant print out parts from that either

  • (i dont know too much about solidworks so i migth be wrong) when i look at file, theres an option that says 3D printing. and then once u click it, it says 3 options (only one works for me and its local driver) and the 3d printing option isnt availible in the student edition.

  • I know that these are sold for 2000 the petaminx is for free, but what about the gigaminx? i have seen people doing it so often now... are the files for it acessable for everyone?

  • I really wanna try putting one together, I don't even have gigaminx molds or peices T.T

  • i woud cry if somone gave me these peices and said is this isnt done by next week im guna kill you..

  • V-minx technology

  • it feels so rewarding when you finaly assemble one of the more complicated puzzles (especially thin one)

  • Kind of wish you sold just the core and one of each different piece on the Teraminx/Gigaminx, that way, the assembly, time to make it, supplies, stickers, and all have to be done by the buyer. Hell, I'd do it.

  • the ball core looks like a foam ball or something

  • i would rather eat my own shoes than do this

  • You must have feeled like Verdes assembling the first V cube 7

  • @SaysSim0n lol, "feeled"

  • reminds me of putting together a v cube six, a real pain, but on some sort of mental level

  • Imagine if this Teraminx would have Rubik's-type mechanism. Then it would be hard as hell to first put the middle edges in, then put all the corners in, then force the 5x5x5 equivalent pieces in between them and finally force the 7x7x7 equivalent pieces in with high risk of breaking the parts.

  • this is factory made?

  • no, this has to be hand cast and assembled for now

  • how long had u made those cubies and how many cubies r there?

  • OVER 9000

  • wow so i think u casted them right?

  • lmao

  • i used a program caled solid works to make a small F1 car that should travel 25 meters in less than 1s i designed it and there was someone who cut it out of plastic and wod for some parts bt maybe you should try the program for designing the parts

  • how would i go about making my own custom puzzles? any info on where/how to make molds, cut and make stickers and such?

  • That looks challenging task. Probably fun for those folks who love to assemble puzzles.

  • drew, idk if you have one, but if you have a gigaminx, can you show an assembly video of that please? :)

    Roost

  • how did you make the v-mech for this in solidworks?

  • yes

  • i know this sounds stupid but the sound it makes when he gets a piece sounde like when you get a shard in quake...... lol random

  • Custom? that looks hard as F**k!

  • how much did it cost to make this?

excluding the master pieces, I mean just resin and the mold?

also, what resin and mold did you use?

  • I meant the teraminx would take longer im just saying its a similar mech isnt it

  • if you have a v 7 you could probably assemble but it would take a lot LONGER!

  • um, what?

why the heck would a v7 take longer than a teraminx to assemble?

  • You could sell these in pieces. People might enjoy the challenge of a teraminx DIY.

  • I'd die before I could do that.

  • i could totally do that (no i cant...)

  • Oh My God, I would go insane.

  • insane and genius

  • that must be gratifying as hell. seeing all the pieces you made come together like that.

  • pain in the ass...

  • its so cool, u put in those white pieces like scaffolding.

  • dear jesus. what a hobby. at least he makes bank.

  • you forgot about all the stickers :P

  • How do you custome make these parts?

Another youtube video guy says he made his own. How much would a custom made one cost?

  • 2000 dollars

  • is it the same core as the hungarian supernova?

  • no its a half sphere which I cast 2 halves and glue together

  • looks like it kind of resembles a

v cube 7x7 i mean how its put together.

  • I hope you get rich for this.

  • Seriously, what do these go for? You only did half a cube - another half to go - then you got to put the stickers on each surface!!! Wow!!!

Need a machine to put this together!!!

    Nice work!

  • wow it's just like defusing a bomb

  • i just dont have the time for this things and it looks hard

  • someone has alot of time on their hands!

  • the structure reminds me of a v-cube

  • Ok, I envy you people for being smart enough to build something like this, but whoever DOES build one of these things has wayyy too much time on their hands..

  • This does seem like time consuming work. But I can't help but find myself thinking about the stickers and how fun those must be!

  • I missed it. What part wasn't the

    "tricky" part?

  • how many individual pieces?

  • i could never do that, u make money on this?

  • dude that sucks

haha the people at the factory are like "HAHA HELL NO LET THEM PUT THERE OWN DAMN CUBE TOGETHER"

  • he designed and made the thing himself, molding and casting parts.

  • i just have one question

how did you make the core?

  • 3d printer, I then made a mold of the part and cast it twice to get the 2 core halves that are glued together

  • are some of those internal pieces like v-cube parts?

  • the whole thing is based on the v-cube mech. however it has been adapted for 12 sides instead of 6

  • I thought the ball would have been smaller and the pieces be more into the core such as a v cube 6 or 7

    nice

  • lol a teraminx pop would SUCK

  • THAT IT WOULD, THAT IT WOULD.

i can't even imagine someone speed solving that, then a pop. :O

  • it's hard to imagine v-cube 7 pop during speedsolve, but this?! well, i don't want even imagine what would happen. As you sad.

  • I've had v7 pops, but mostly 2-3 piece pops. The mechanism isn't too hard to figure out.

But a thing that cuts away a quarter or more of the cube woud suck. heh.

  • imagine if the petaminx popped =0. o.0

  • Jb3btp2007

it is a teraminx, not a megaminx

  • How long did it take you to put the whole thing together

  • v-cube technology on a megaminx, great job drew

  • ah that must have taken you so long to cast all those tiny pieces! good job putting it together, i complain about just putting together my 4x4 or 5x5 haha.

  • the vcube mech is very addaptable

  • the mech looks like on the v-cubes

  • yes it is. I had to adapt it to work on a dodecahedron, which isn't very easy with parts so small..

  • Haha. I thought the ES 5x5 was tedious after the first few times.

  • whoa

  • OMG

  • O_O What the...?

  • yes, they are on the way. Please email in the future ^_^

  • The real challenge, is to solve the teraminx, before stickers are added. Bravo excellent work.

  • Thats a lot O' pieces there

  • your voice sounds completley different for some reason.

  • omg that thing is complex nice job though man
