@Degu1 Not true because this bird is actually a female. (In eclectus parrots the females are dark red and the males are bright green.) It's been my experience though that males are more chatty.

there are 2 types of African Greys, Congos and Timenh. The Timineh is smaller and does not have the bright red tail. Last time i checked if you buy from a breeder, normally they are around 700-900 dollars. If you buy from a petstore (not advised) you will pay around 1200 to 1500. Timneh's cost much less than congo's
Apple lived with me for a while, and she has the most incredible vocabulary. She wouldn't bite anyone if you tried to make her. The most laid back and beautiful bird I have ever seen. She is a one in a million. I watch this every so often because it make me feel happy all over.

please don't think i'm psycho, but since i have seen this video...and it was a few months ago at least, i have been known to say "apple please" in her voice. It cracks me up how she gets so low in her voice for the AP part LOL, what a silly girl!!

My eclectus says "Hello" when the phone rings, and "come here" and then makes me chase her around the house. They are the best birds ever!

it depends on which kind of Eclectus you get:
1. Solomon Eclectus: $800, male or female
2. Red-sided Eclectus: $845, male or female
3. Vosmaeri Eclectus: $1,000 for a male, $1,200 for a female
you can find them cheaper on ebay though im pretty sure
