  • You're so brilliant at crimping in a perfect line.. And they're all joined together! I tried crimping a cake once, and the end result was terrible, the crimps weren't joined together and I crimped a bit too far or too close, so it was uneven. :(

  • The tool is made by PME. It's a closed curve serrated crimper. Think that's a larger one as they come in all different shapes and sizes.

    Hope this helps.

  • I almost got one of these, but i didn't know how to use one at the time. also, i like my fondant to be pretty thin, and i didn't know if it had to be thick to do this.

  • I imagine that the fondant should be fairly thick in order to get a nice crimping effect on the cake? thank you...luv your videos*.

  • The cake turned out very professional looking and you did a great job with this video:)

As for where to purchase the tool I would suggest google 'cake decorating crimping tool' because I did locate one online a while back from a supply company but I don't remember which one. If I come across it again I'll be sure to post but I'm sure it's a pretty common decorating tool.

  • this looks soo fun to do :):):)

  • This is covered in fondadnt rite? cuz the title says icing...so now im confused...

  • @prettyflower44 isn't fondant a kind of icing? (that's a real question. i'm not being sarcastic.)

  • @djm1072 lol umm i dont think soo, i mean it acts like a type of frosting i thnk. but fondant is used for like decoarting and icing i think is more used for spreading

  • it is really cool i want a crimpping tool now! were can i find one?? tha looks very pretty !!

  • where did you get your crimping tool?

  • @sowens088 Amazon sells these tools. Search for "cake crimping tool".
