because you have a 3rd generation ipod touch. you have to get sbsettings and respring your device instead of reboot it.

k i jailbroke my ipod and i downloaded Cydia, and then i went back to itunes. How do i put all my stuff back? and, if i put everything back, does that mean that it will erase blackrain?

I hate this blackra1n jailbreak, it's so shitty. Winterboard I heard doesn't work at all on many devices. On mine somehow I got it enabled by having my device rebooted when I downloaded something from cydia.

in a way yes. wat you need to do though...is go to itunes and press restore your ipod and press update to newest frimware. then you restore it and jailbreak it.

coz i tried using redsnow 0.7.2 in my itouch 2G firmware 3.0 but it gets stuck in the white screen (recovery mode i think) and my comp asks me to get the friekin driver.. now, i upgraded to firmware 3.1.2 and am about to try your steps.. please help! =)
