That's the entire point, my friend. Another word for that is CLEAN, just like the Google search page. Do you remember what search was like before that? See: Yahoo. Chrome is clean, beautifully designed, and incredibly fast. I'd use it in a heart beat if it had a plug-in API. Until then, I use Firefox (can't live without adblock, among other things).
@Tripp393 It's Chromes transparency that makes it great. instead of looking at 48 million toolbars you are actually looking at the website. I may be wrong but I thought the purpose of a web browser was to browse the web.
Don't be a pretentious snob. 48 million toolbars are only a bane to those who don't know how to remove them, aka those new the INTERNET! I have all my great addons on FF right now with just 2 toolbars, and that's counting the TITLE bar. I NEED my search bar and address bar. I can type "2+2=" in the address bar and it'll give me "4" in the dropdown list, WITHOUT fucking with the page URL. Do you have any idea how important that is?
@Tripp393 So you rather have poor rendering and slow loading speeds just for some luggage? Mind you that most modern browsers, including IE, passed Acid 2 except Firefox (Or anything with the Gecko engine). I guess I'm new to the internet because I like for my browser to display sites the way they were meant to be displayed.
Most useless tip ever. You can move around the components on your browser bar in Firefox by default. I have everything I need including Yahoo toolbar down to 2 lines, WITHOUT add-ons. It's all in the options.

"can't live without adblock, among other things"
exactly!
I'm sure I'll switch to Chrome eventually because i really like the separate process for every tab thing, but the really need to be less bare
