  • Ah yeah, everyone loves cereal. Even Hitler, according to my channel.

And wow, those bullies shat themselves, and all because he ate that delicious, but oh-so sugary cereal :)

  • I wonder how many kids got beat up believing that this stuff really made you super strong.

  • They don't make commercials like this anymore!

  • Users should be forewarned that extended use of this cereal results in bipolar disorder.

  • They worked against bullies for about 20 minutes. After that the insulin kicked in and the sugar high was over.

  • I think this was this first AJ commercial. I remember it; I think, it was 1965 or thereabouts.

  • my cousin ate some apple jacks then tried to fight some bullies but got put into hospital by them, he became paraplegic.

apple jacks made my cousin crippled :(

  • Man, I can't believe Americans used to be this stupid. It's almost shameful.

  • @VahnGali USED to be? Ahahaha.

  • I used to eat Apple Jacks when I was a kid, and yet I still got my ass kicked by bullies.

  • HEY, APPLE JACKS KID! If you don't wanna get bullied, try wearing some pants!

  • Definitely Paul Frees, 'jb'.

  • Thanks for the memory. I was actually thinking about this one a few weeks ago. BTW, I believe the voice of the apple is Casey Kasem, who also did Shaggy, Alex Cabot and a couple of voices on The Adventures of Gulliver and would go on to become one of the top deejays in the country, next to Dan Ingram and Cousin Brucie.

  • hooray now that kid can murder anyone who fucks with him =)

  • ' Your father's mustache!' LOL

  • I remember this one too..

  • I like them even now. But they don't have an apple taste to me.

  • I remember Apple Jack. They did taste better back then. They look the same. I remember when I was a kid, we had a box of Apple Jacks just opened and found a dead worm inside.

  • lol, I remember my mom told me about this commercial when I was a kid.

  • Go on home your mothers calling!! haha

  • I remember when the kid next door started eating Apple Jacks. He used to be real fun to bully, but then he was a real scary dude. Apple Jacks ruined my childhood.

  • Oh my! The bullys are puting the boys hat on the tree (But he won).

  • was this spot ever showen in canada because i do'nt recall it eithier mayby it's me

  • I'm 43 and I remember the old box w/ the apple face on it. I thought that red face was a ballon or something when I was a kid. Maybe it's just me but it seems Apple Jacks had a better flavor 40 years ago.

  • what color were they?

  • Comment removed

  • I don't remember those little red things when I was small. I think they came later. I think Apple jacks were just toasty like Cherrios or something. I may be wrong. Perhaps some of our ellow Youtubers of a "certain" age may know for certain.

  • Then- buy this because then you can stand up to bullies!!

Now- buy this because it has whole grain nutrition and is affordable.

    hahaha times change. :)

  • STEROIDS!

  • I remember this one. Man, I must be old. LOL I was born in 1960, so I would have been a small kid when it aired, but I do remember it.

  • This was another in the 1965-'66 "bullies" spots; Paul Frees is again the voice of "Apple Jack" (and a "Bully"), as is Mel Blanc as another "Bully". In this one, there's no reminder at the end that Apple Jacks was also available in Kellogg's "Snack Pak" assortment...

  • @fromthesidelines It was? It sounds a lot like Casey Kasem.

  • I don't remember this one. When was it made?

  • Around 1965-66 !

  • Then I SHOULD remember it, but I don't. Ah well, the old grey cells are now off-white, so that explains it. I find it interesting that they sell the cereal with the idea that eating Apple Jacks will make you strong enough to beat up bullies. LOL.

  • How 'bout the Popeye and Spinach bit?

  • The spinach thing in Popeye was created because of an honet mistake. Popeye creator Segar read an article claiming that spinach had 1,000 times more iron than it did (it was a misprint), so he used that as the basis for spinach being so good for you. Besides, on radio, Popeye used Wheatena cereal to get strong because that was the sponsor. Spinach wasn't even mentioned.

  • @1975tooto 1966-67. I also remember Quisp and Quake from around the same period.
