Ankgorchey is right . This song was originaly from Khmer Surin . In early 70's Im Sim Seurn had sung . He is from Batambang . Im Sim Seurn is realated to my sister in law . Nowaday his relatives live in Thailand as well .

The singer in this version is Khmer Surin but

this song was from 1960's by late Mr. Im song Seum of Vityu cheat band. His home town was Battambang province, Cambodia. He died in Saigon hospital of lung cancer in problably 1974.

This was and still is my favorite song also.

I have no prove, it what I was told back when I was in the refugee camp in Thailand in 1980.That what people been told. If what u said is true, please except my apology. But, do you know how many khmer refugee Thai soldier has kill on the Khmer/Thai border? My family was lucky to be alive out of the group of 54 that enter the refugee camp. To this day I still don't know how many out of us 54 was kill and campture.

This song echoed in my memories,during wartime,when i was just a young Cambodia boy struggling to survive along the Khmer-Thai border,i was starving to death,but many a night i fell asleep listening to this soothing song on an old dusty casette player,Camp Kao-Idang...it was just like yesterday ;)
