Let me help you guys out, I have been to his church several times and this is absolutely consistent with who they are. Anyone can make a 3 minute youtube clip say anything they want to.

I absolutely cannot figure out what you are talking about, how in the world is “one of the greatest voices of this generation” apologizing for bringing him in. I think the real reason you don’t like this is b/c it doesn’t fit in with your pre-concieved notions of who Frutick is. He quotes scripture at least three times (in context), and says that he is hungry for the word, many people are not sure how to process this in light of the misinformation about him on the internet.

Ok. I do attend elevation church and no I'm not one of those people who think pastor steven is God. But I will say this Jesus Christ and elevation church changed my life. Pastor Furtick speaks the gospel I promise I would not cover up that and i've seen it change others lives that a very dear to my heart and you say he is nervous I don't think the pastor of a church of 20,000 is to nervous . I know for a fact pastor steven furtick preaches from the word of God because I witnessed it tonight

@drumladd I could rip off the intro but I decided to upload the full video as it was released by the elevation church on its podcast page. So I decided not to edit the video in order not to dishonor their version of the video made available. I am also not a fan of that intro...I really am not attracted to Steven Furtick as a preacher and his "preaching",but thank God for faithful preachers like Matt Chandler.The others Perry and Jakes didn't even mention the Gospel in their "sermons"

@jmebara maybe pastor furtick really wanted pastor matt to feel comfortable and welcomed and that is why it seems so "blah" and not as intense. i feel what you guys are saying tho. i really do. i think unity is definitely a start though.

@jpsavedbygrace1982 Agree it is God's grace and love for all of us, many people's eternities are in the balance and I know Chandler was sent because God knew it was worht it if even ONE person came to true knowledge of Christ or had their eyes truly opened. also about furtick's intro, yeah, he was kind of acting like matt would preach an "extreme" or "different" version of the gospel they weren't used to...LOL.also he seemed nervous. I bet he wondered how chandler is there but it was GOD working
