  • What do you think of this watch after having it for a while? How small are those buttons on the left side, and are they easily adjustable with big fingers?

  • @Ducttaper74 Honestly I don't wear this watch very much because it has a negative display and is hard to see. The buttons are no problem but I hardly use them except for the light button. I wish it had a barometric trend indicator like the Riseman. The dial in the upper right corner seems useless.

  • how do i switch from meters to feet?

  • @GreenJanuary That question is answered in the video and in the older comments. You can NOT switch out of metric if your home city code is set to TYO or any city in Japan.

  • is that a used toothpick?

  • @rainscroll Yes. Teeth & ears. No just kidding. I got a wee little jar of various color toothpicks from Walmart and I just use them as hobby tools and, obviously, pointing sticks in videos.

  • cool man...this helps!

  • You are a time saver!

  • Can somebody tell me what I did wrong? I went to change the temp from Celsius to Fahrenheit, I went Alti, then held the adjust button until it beeped. Then the measurements are all gone, and the screen just says alti. Help please o_0

  • @IsaiahBobaya What you did was the method for setting a reference altitude or calibration. Do the same thing again--press the Alti button, press and hold the Adjust botton and then press both the Alti button and the LIGHT button at the same time. This should erase any calibration that you did. Now press the Adjust button one time momentarily. 04:05

  • To change your units of measurement, you need to be in Timekeeping Mode / Home-screeen. Now press and hold the Adjust button until digits flash, then keep pressing the MODE button until you see the word Alti. Now press the Alti button to toggle the units between Feet & Meters. 08:49

  • @fwupow I kept pressing it until I got to LT3 then once i pressed it again, It went back to the beginning of the options, completely skipping the temp. change, which is what I am trying to change. any help?

  • @IsaiahBobaya Ok, now I know what's wrong. Casio prohibits the use of American units in Japan. I don't know if it's because of a Japanese law or not. If you home city code is set to TYO (Tokyo) the watch will function in METRIC ONLY and will not allow you to change the units.

  • How can you switch from metric to American

  • Could you please comfirm if you can change temperature unit to Fahrenheit? Thank you.

  • @Hilokilo06 Sorry, scratch that last comment. I commented too soon. Great review, I will consider buying that watch.

  • @Hilokilo06 Yes you can, BUT there have been G-Shocks in the past, which had versions sold within Japan which were metric only. Also some G-Shocks will only display metric if the HOME CITY code is set to TOKYO.

  • @fwupow so is that what you did to yours? And how do you set your home city? Thanks for your reply.

  • Thanks great help

  • Hi is this the same to the GDF 100 1AER

  • @rockclimberlj Yes. Those last 3 numbers have to do with the "order #" and the intended market. The "ER" on the end is usually found on G-Shocks sold in the European Union. Casio often uses different packaging in different markets, so an "ER" might come in a box instead of a TIN (for example).

  • dude can you review the gw9200 that you showed in the first video??

  • @MrSabamael Oh yeah. I'm scared of that one, because the RiseMan is so packed with features, the video will be longer than time itself. There are lots of videos of the RiseMan on YouTube, but probably none that breakdown all the functions. I'll see what I can do.

  • @fwupow pllleeeeaaassseee review it your the only decent reviewer on youtube and your awesome :)

  • @edenking23 the gw9200 and is there a difference between that and the gw9300

  • @edenking23 go to DougFNJ's page he breaks the riseman functions down in ten minutes and it is very good review to...

  • can you display the temperature in the homescreen???

  • @StevenRHaz That would be nice wouldn't it? That would be like the original G-Shock Thermometer watch and the old DW-001 "Jason" but this watch doesn't provide that option. You can see the current time in Baro-Thermo mode but that watch will automatically revert to time-keeping mode after ONE hour.

  • @fwupow what a shame... I'm looking to upgrade from my Casio PRT-10, which displays the temperature in a graph, and optionally on the homescreen as well.

  • @StevenRHaz Ya, that's too bad. Of course the only other G-Shock sensor watches are the new G(W)-9300 Mudman and the G(W)-9200 Riseman and neither of those provide temperature on the home-screen either.

  • How long will the battery last in this watch?

  • @HappyCrafters The battery should last about 5 years. It depends on how much you wear and use the watch and especially how much you use the illumination & alarm. It you seldom use the light and never use the alarm and don't do many manual sensor readings, the battery may last a few years longer than that.

  • is there any way that the temperature can be in degrees

  • @yosibballking Yes that is covered in the video at 08:50 . Press and hold the ADJUST button until Home City is flashing and then keep pushing the MODE button until you see TEMP in the display, then push the ALTI button to change the units. When done push the ADJUST button momentarily.

  • I read on the forums that. ..people say barometur and thermometur not display the real data? Is that right or just jelous?

  • @plamen4u The thermometer is accurate but it's affected by body heat, so you have to take the watch off and set it away from your body for 20 minutes before it will show the accurate temp reading.

The barometer shows the actual station pressure rather than the Sea-level adjusted pressure that you will typically get from the Weather Channel, TV news, Weather website etc.

  • Just got the red one it's so sick!

  • That watch is cool but the red one is sick!

  • this review must have a 1000.000 like

  • How accurate did you find the altimeter, barometer and thermometer to be? Were you able to validate any of the reported values with another method?

  • Thanks for the video review. Very well done and informative. Was on the fence between this and the Riseman...this watch looks so much better. Much cleaner looking than the GDF100A too.

  • thanks your video! because your video, so I know how to setting my GDF-100!! thank you very much! :P

  • My temperature is in celcius... Can u help me switch it? Thanks

  • @mikeandikefly hold top left button till the it has the time zone blinking.then keep pressing the bottom left till temperature. Then hit the bottom right button to switch. Then press the bottom left to set it. I hope it helps. Got this yesterday so im getting use to it too.

  • around 13 minutes you said the little circle tracks any trends in barometric pressure. which way does the circle turn to, to represent an increase or decrease?

  • were did u get the green one,can u tell me plz

  • Thanks for the detailed review but does it really need to have two parts, one of which is 20min long? And I know you're not alone in doing this but who really cares about all the packaging? It's all pretty much identical.

  • @teutonicpenguin dude you can fast forward if you want. so he is thorough with his reviews. im glad he is, without it i probably wouldnt have wanted to purchase this watch, now i do. but in red. = ]. give him a break,

  • @emanvz im getting the same one as u
