  • Beautiful song. Love the message.

  • LOVE this song! The story of Abraham and Issac is one of my favorites! This is a beautiful song with a beautiful story. I can hear the desperation in his voice when he sings, "Maker of this mountain, please, make another way!" I wish I had the faith of Abraham. ♥

  • this song made me cry soo much...

  • The beginning of this song makes me think of the music in the Lord of the Rings trilogy that plays when they're in the Shire. lol

  • Oh, My Father, if it is possible, let this responsibility pass from Me;

Nevertheless, not as I will it, but as You will. -Matthew 26:39

  • I love how this. song is about an event in the Old Testament that points to the New Testament and we need a savior..." Lord Make Another Way"... Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, and he paid for all of our sins.

  • I love this song it's so ... I almost cry! Abraham really loves his son and when he's going to kill him Jesus says dont do it you have promise that you will offer your son but you love him so much! Wonderfoul song

  • thanks for posting this is my favorite

  • This song, I absolutely love it. The lyrics, the vocals, the message.... it resonates deep within. Thank you for this.

  • i saw him live and he was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see him again

  • I don't see how Andrew can sing this song!!! Especially if he's got a little guy of his own. I don't think I could do the same thing that Abraham was asked to do. Just kind of gives you an idea of what God went through making Jesus the sacrifice.....

  • I have heard him live with his newest album. Omg he is such a great person!!! Love his music love him, love jesus!

  • This song kills me. The song isn't about God stopping Abraham, the song is about Abraham being ready to obey his Lord regardless of what he requested. It's an impossibly hard request of Abraham, and one that he was going to obey.

Although Abraham was willing God stopped him. He wasn't willing to let Abraham do this horrendous act but many years later God would lead his own son to a hill instead of a mountain and he will be sacrificed there for the saving of everyone. So amazing.

  • This guy came to my school today =P he played this song, the cheese song, the Monkey song, Bears, and some others including this one.

  • according to the Bible... read Matthew 5, there's no way we can be called innocent, Before God, we are all evildoers! according to psalm 14... so.. what... does God hate us all! THEN WHY DID HE SEND HIS VERY OWN SON, HIS BELOVED ONE TO DIE FOR US!!!

According to God's justice, we all deserve hell, for we are all evildoers, sinners, and there is no way in which we can stop being that because it's our nature! THAT'S THE POINT OF CHRISTIANITY! SAVED BY GRACE! NOT BY MERIT! PRAISE GOD!!

  • @pablowan While we are all sinners and cannot save ourselves, Matthew 5:48 teaches us that we can become like Christ when he gives us a new heart. To admit that we cannot stop sinning is to admit that God is not strong enough to help us in temptation. Jesus was a man like us, who overcame temptation through power that is available to all of us as his redeemed. I agree: Saved by Grace! However, let's not forget that being saved is just the beginning of a lifelong journey called sanctification

  • God does love everyone, and everyone is the same before Him, there are no small or big sins, there are just sins, stealing a dollar or robbing a bank are the same... and sinners deserve death according to the Bible. God does hate the evil doers, but it is because He hates evil. The appostle Paul was sooo an evil doer, he persecuted, and delivered christians to be killed... does that mean that God hated him? if so, why then do we have from a "hated guy" half of the new testament...

  • Thank you so much for putting this

video up! It means so much to me.

My Friend and mentor gave me one of my

very first christian cd's and this song was

on it..I lost the CD in Hurricane Katrina and have searched for this song since

When I found it I was very happy Thank you for sharing and God bless you Glenda

  • Jesus Christ is Lord over all creation (John 1:3, Col.1:17)

He is holy and righteous, but kind and merciful (Ex. 34:6-7). He hates sin and will not let those who do so go unpunished.

There is forgiveness, but not just sweeping our sins under the rug. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God came and died, taking our sin upon Himself, so that we can have a new life in Him (2 Cor. 5:21). Matt 7 talks about people who never trusted Christ as their Lord, but lived an outward lie of religion.

  • Lots of people want to trust Jesus as their Savior, but few will trust Him as Lord. Trusting Him as Lord requires repentance, aka a change in lifestyle, being lead according to what the Bible says, not what culture or our own hearts dictate. These people who were turned away in Matthew 7 were boasting of knowing someone they only knew about. This is greatly offensive to God, and misleads people concerning salvation.

  • According to Psalm5:4-5 God does not love everybody especially not evildoers

Psalm 5 For thou art not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not sojourn with thee. The boastful may not stand before thy eyes; thou hatest all evildoers.

And why will Jesus declare to his followers, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.' Mat 7:21-23

These are people who went around calling Jesus "lord"? Who boasted about doing mighty works in the name of Jesus? Why wont he even want to know them.

  • Rahmat777

What's your deal man? Do you enjoy trying to correct people by taking the word of God out of context.

    You sound like a Pharisee.

  • Go on provide the context. To me this is a case where the context doesnt present an opposite meaning. Using the 'out of context' arguement is easiet thing to do without th need to substantiate on it.

    "You sound like a Pharisee."

If you were a Jew at the time of Jesus you would have called Jesus the very same thing. Jesus was correcting the people, presenting the true spirit of the Law (torah) in light of the gospel (injil) that was revealed from God, he was telling them what they got it wrong.

  • Jesus loves everyone and the evildoers he loves too and will do anything to get him in their hearts. Remember that

  • Then why the harsh cold words of Mat7:21-23. Why wont he even want to know all those people who did things in HIS NAME, in the name of Jesus. Nobody goes about calling Jesus lord, only Christian call him lord. why this severe treatment reserved for christians alone?

  • God is holy, just, righteous & merciful Because He is just He cant "just forgive sin"& we as sinners r incapable of being without sin No amount of good deeds can wipe out our inherited sinful nature This is why God in His mercy sacrificed His own sinless Son on our behalf so that He can forgive us & take us in2 His arms He loves you & me so much that we dont have to do anything 2 be with Him except know His Son as our Savior Mat7:21 refers 2 good works vs faith & it isnt reserved only 4 Christians

  • Do you know the import of what you are saying?

You are telling me something which God cant do. You say "He cant just forgive sin".

Why are you are limiting God's Mercy for yourself? I say God can forgive. In Islam God flaunts his mercy. He loses nothing. He's not Shylock, who requires payment to be satiated. If he forgives nobody has to 'pay the price', forgiveness means no one gets paid. it is over-written, forgotten. If payment is demanded there is no forgiveness. He got back what he wanted.

  • exacly the same place Jesus was crucified on this moutain, any significance?

God loves all people so much and he is most forgiving, that Jesus died on the cross, He also defeated Satan and death by rising from the grave, Jesus made it possible for all his children to live with him eternally.

  • Stylist62 said, "God provided a sacrafice for Abraham just like he providsed Jesus, he took the punishment of our sin upon him on the cross."

Why cant God just forgive people?

Doesnt the Bible say, Isa 43:25 I, [even] I, [am] he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

God is not in need of your the blood of your sheep, goats and men before before He forgives your sins. He forgives out of His own bounty. He's not Shylock, He's the Most Forgiving.

  • The writer of Genesis 22:2 has made a mistake. Ishmael was born when Abram was 86 (16:16). Isaac was born when Abraham was 100 (21:5) That shows Ishmael had already been the ONLY SON for 14 years.

The bible also tells us at Gen 25:9 that both sons outlived their father, Ishmael was still alive & present at the burial. At no time was Isaac EVER the 'only son' of Abraham. The one lead to be sacrificed was therefore Ishmael.

Is this an example of Jewish pride influencing the writing of scripture?

  • can't describe how beautiful this song is...

  • I have never heard this song before, but wow-very powerful. So many tears. For those of us with children it's unthinkable, but trusting the Lord is not a choice. God always provides in the worst of situations. God is so wonderful.

  • omg i know andrew he has my email!!!!!!!!!!!

beware the toothy cows andrew!!!!! :P

p.s im on chapter like 4-5!!!

  • This song gives me goosebumps all over my legs and arms. The video makes me weep at the goodness of God. Thanks.

  • WOW. Thank you for blessing us with your gift of music.

  • One of the strongest videos ever!!!!

  • This is one of the most emotion-producing songs for me. I can rarely listen to it without tears in my eyes and a pain in my gut, but seeing the movie footage set to it took it too a whole new level. So powerful! Great job.

  • Great song and clip

  • This is really awesome and creative. I love most of the TNT Bible series movies.

  • It's such a powerful song. David, the father of faith. I hope in all circumstances to be able to say myself: Holy is the Lord, and I will obey even though I don't know the way. Indeed, holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who is and who was and who is to come. Thanks for posting this.

  • Thanx... For making me cry.

  • such a beautiful and meaningful song. The video adds so much life to it aswell. Simply wonderful!

    God bless you!

  • Very powerful and moving music video. Keep seeking the God of our Universe, the one who "is a rewarder of those who seek Him."

  • Wonderful. Thanks!!!

  • wow he has the same name as me

  • I'm a big Peterson fan, but I had never heard this song up until about three weeks ago and it' definitely one of his best for me. High Noon is the best for me, but this is close

  • "Holy is the Lord, Holy is the Lord, and the Lord I will obey..." I powerful reminder for my life... I really love this song. It conveys its message with beautiful and well thought lyrics, not having to lean on volume or an overpowering tempo.

  • today at church, our pastor talked about Him owning everything and us being tenants in His land. when i saw this video, i started reflecting on the message. sometimes its hard to comprehend what he is asking us to give. but in the end, he doesn't ask us of something that our heart does not have the capacity to handle. he always has plans for the better. we just have to trust Him.

  • Holy Is the Lord--Awesome

    How can I buy this?

  • Profoundly moving.

  • November 2005, I covered my windows, for some odd, reason, I did not want to see the light of day, It was a few days before Thankgsgiving, I recieved a call from my Father, that my grandmother, whom raised me, and I in turn cared for till I was 27, had passed away. It was this song, I was compelled to play over and over, till the day I recieved....the call.

    Thank You
