if its used by a famous established artist the beat could be as basic and shitty as humanly possible and people would still say its dope (successful by drake, afraid of me by eminem) both terrible songs and both terrible beats (they honestly cant have more than 4 or 5 instruments, drums included, which would be perfectly fine if they actually had decent melodies, not the same 4 note bar looped) nobody cares about REAL good beats or producers...as long as its popular that makes it good

this beat sucks, as do the majority of the neptunes work...dont get me wrong, on and on, lalala, superthug, lapdance, and as i come back are all dope beats (the general abstractness of it makes it sound really bitchin, but of the entire neptunes catalog (most of which iv e heard) id be hard-pressed to find 15 beats i liked, and grindin is the worst beat ive ever heard...nobody really pays attention to the fact that it doesnt matter what the beat sounds like as long as its used by someone famous

Really nice bro. Pharell is one of my favorite producers and right now I'm working on my beat making skills. I'm currently using GarageBand at the moment. I wish they had better sounds but I'm working with them the best I can. I'm really trying to work on my skills, so they can be as hot or better than a Pharell beat. Any suggestions and what program did you use to create this (Logic, Reason, Protools, etc...)?

i found the pad in a free kit off the internet and im not sure about the twinkle sound you are talkin about.

but just look and you will find sounds ten times better. especially since i made this two years ago.

bobby - i have my own drum kits of  sounds and drums i pulled from other kits and tweakd. and that synth is actually a pad. its a wav file i found off the internet. its an amazing sound.
