There is no de-cocker on any Grand Power K100 variants. It is just a safety. The safety is probably the worst thing about the gun. However I use the GP6 for IPSC where a safety has no use anyway. Yes you do need to pull the trigger to drop the hammer. The recoil is nothing like a Glock 17; it is a lot more manageable with less muzzle flip. I can’t comment on the Beretta as I have never shot it. The best quality about this gun is the single action trigger is the best I have used.
I'm seriously considering the STI GP5, the compact version of the GP6. There is no video on YT demonstrating the weapon functions. I was wondering, is that safety a decocker also or do you need to pull the trigger after you chamber a rounder in order to drop the hammer (without the intention of firing the gun).
@ZenPotion No decocker on this gun. That is a safety. And the safety has very small paddle on it, making it impossible for me to operate with my shooting hand. I wish it had a 1911 type lever with a larger paddle.
The first two shots I fired were practice shots. I was trying to get the dead center of my sight because its my first time firing this gun out of the box. And the last two shots were fired were on the paper target.
nice pistol! sir may i ask where can i purchase STI GP6? im an OFW and im looking to have my first pistol when i get home. this seems to be a wise choice. hope to hear from you! thanks!
