My absolute favorite piece of music ever in the whole world. It flows so beautifully and really connects with the whole story and Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......................... the list goes on! is it on iTunes???
@jeffthestrider I'm making a fan made short film about the battle between Luna and Celestia. Can I please use the song? I'll give you credit of course :)
I don't like making comparisons between brony musicians because all of them (you included) are much, much more talented and creative than I am. This, I wanted to say though, is worthy to go in my Master Playlist alongside with Makkon's work.
I really don't have any adjectives to describe how much I love this song. It's just that good.
Celestia and Luna created a mighty empire which spanned across all of equestria. Celestia would bring forth a graceful, yet powerful day. Alongside her, Luna would call up a dark and strident night.
As time went on, the two sisters become separate factions, and their conflicting views brought about civil war. After an era of devastating war, Luna and Celestia finally let go of their differences, and accepted each other as sisters, as they once had.
@Jeffthestrider Jeff, I say you're better then them, But even if you're not, You're music is so unique. You're the only person that makes this orchestral music that I love so much! Nopony can replace you.
i should be at school right now but i have to hear this one more time, OMG it's amazing up to 5:17, then after, there is no word in my lexicon to describe it, brilliant, I am green with envy, so from this point forward I will go through all your vids and dislike them because clearly you hacked life to do this.
This is absolutely amazing. I love the reworking of the theme song, and the way it changes tone through the story of the song. It conveys its emotions perfectly. This is one of my favorite MLP fan songs to date.
@SeberHusky All art credits and links in the video description. WhirlyWillow did the Lunar Republic/Solar Empire posters, The Obama ones are a link on memebase, and procaballus did the center one.
@Sparkz1607 Actually, I think it has more to do with the last note's relation to the previous notes in the key. The key is F major for the last part, and the preceding notes are A F G E F, which is fairly common. The 2nd to last note being a leading tone right before the tonic note is what gives it the sense of finality.
Simply awesome! It progresses so fluidly, and really feels like it tells an ever-shifting story. And I especially love when it takes some bits from the main theme. Very nice work as always.
Absolutely fantastic, Jeff. I'd say this is definitely the best piece you've made, and I'm incredibly honored that you continue to release music of this quality for everyone to hear.
I love this! One of your best tracks so far, you seem to only get better and better. I'm no music expert, but I found surprising how you could keep everything harmonious: even with all the instruments and the mood shifting, there wasn't one bit of the song that didn't sound awesome.
I approve of this so very freakin hard. It actually sounds closer to film score than most of my music. and it tells the story very well. although the pictures do help tell it a great deal. I very much love the combination of piano and drums. Such a mixture is very hard to come by. The only other time I heard that was when Malice Mizer played "Regret" live at their big concert in 1998.
@psychgoth Thanks, Homestuck is a fairly big influence. Those guys have some real talent for musical pieces that help the story along. Especially Clark Powell. He mixes piano and percussive sounds pretty well.
Oh my god, who knows where I can find the sheet music for this on the piano?
