I know what this was for! This was done in memory and honor of those 343 FDNY firefighters killed in the terrorist attack on 9/11/01. I was only 7 years old at the time of the attack, but now, President Obama has delivered the news about bin Laden. Osama bin Laden is dead, believe it or not! He was shot above the right eye and killed instantly, and is now buried at sea where none of his goons (minions, as some people would call them) would not know where to erect a memorial.

This siren used to go off all the time, but i barely hear it anymore! hmmmm (i am down on main street btw) I remember hearing this on 9-11-11!!!
