slight correction... this is NOT a replacement for the LR2 (or Freelander 2 as its known in non-north American markets). The LR2 continues to be the entry Land Rover brand product, while the Evoque is the entry Range Rover product. While the next generation of the LR2 will undoubtedly share its platform with the Evoque, it will remain a separate model under the Land Rover name

It's not replacing the Freelander (or the LR2 in the US) in the UK, it's just a more affordable way to tap into the Range Rover bloodline... Even if it is missing the signature V8 and has a pussy 2WD setup.

What a stupid vehicle. Spend 4k more and you get a Porsche Cayenne which is by far the better car. It not only outhandles the Evoque on the road, but also when it comes to offroading. Plus it looks way better (Evoque looks like some Kia), the interior is just as luxurious (if not a little more) and the Cayenne offers way more space.

And, to top it all off, the Cayenne is one of the most reliable SUVs you can buy, while Land Rovers are usually found at the very bottom of reliability reports.

@eden20111 Ok...the ZDX while im a fan of its gorgeous design, I'm going to have to say no. Its overpriced, underpowered and does not and cannot serve a real purpose for anyone. Same for the X6. I say go with the Evoque

@eden20111 I say the BMW X6. One thing that bugs me about the ZDX as well as the Evoque is I don't really see a purpose in them. They're not great offroaders and they're not great on the street either. Now the X6 isn't necessarily a great offroader either, but it by far outhandles the other two on the street. And even though the X6's design is controversial, I personally quite like it. Plus you probably get the best, most luxurious interior, even a hint better than the Evoque's.
