  • People killing innocents for their rights: Terrorism. Governments killing innocents for their own good: "Social Policy"

  • and they say the Irish are Murderers , ain't the british calling the kettle black or if the cap fits you whear it

  • @ProvosAttYourDoor - like all those suffering from an inferiority complex, you don't face recent truths, such as the fact that republicans bombed a Remembrance Day parade. Wow, provisionals are SO BRAVE, like the people in America miles from the troubles, who supported (and continue to support) them.

  • I see the Isle of Man on the map :) thats where i live.

I remember one day this song came on and everyone got up and sung it out loud - from that day forth i loved the song

  • @blonde7000 IOM is a beautiful place as well. I've visited many times.

  • The Irish Republican Brotherhood Fenian Movement was born in America by those seeking to gain revenge for the famine, America was the only place that was truly out of reach for the British in them days

  • like mark twain said they dont make land no more

  • 1916

  • Learn to sync your audio introduction with your video introduction, fucking idiot

  • the english were meanies back in the day.

when I went to london I flipped off the wax model of Oliver Cromwell in the wax museum (howeveryouspellitshutupleavemealone), so worth the evil glares, hope the fucker burns in hell >:D

  • @xFmAxkItTyxGuRlx - surely if he's burned in Hell, it's already happened? So your tense is wrong. Also, should Bobby Sands et al burn in Hell? Some consistency please....

  • I love this song. It makes me tear up every time. Long live Ireland!

  • Pray for Irelands dead; pray the Rosary the same Rosary that was prayed by generations of Irelands Children through dungeon , famine, fire and sword. Click my link to be taken to an Irish site that promotes the Old Ways and prays for Irelands Dead.

  • trevelyan... you were a dirty fucking english bastard....

  • @ManlnCognito and i'm proud of President Jackson and his army at the Battle of New Orleans.

  • the english are murders now and then

  • Agriculture note: potatoes came from south America; the landscape typically is mountainous, steep, arid, with water runoff making bogs exist only in flat areas. Potatoes evolved in that sort of environment. It's *possible* that if Irish potato growers had drained their fields better, the famine would never have happened. Isn't it?

  • @rerevisionist no its not at all. thats retarded reasoning

  • @bucnomore11 - what a stupid thing to say.

  • @Rodderz123456789 gross you want to wank me and fuck me? no thanks... i'm not gay.. and i have no idea what ring me well sort of a fight ring me on 2422114141 anytime means.... you have the grammar skills of a mutt

  • This is about a English lanlord called St Charles Edwards responsable for the Genocide of Irish women,Children,Men,it was not his food in the first place,it belonged to the Irish people ,they gave this evil bastard a knighthood, his grave should be found, dug up,be put in a grave where all the devils are,he dosnt deserve to be put in a christan grave what he done,i think he is related to Adholf Hilter,As the Irish dont forget what happened to them.

  • @Gallagher1898 im pretty sure they beheaded him posthumously. but future leaders put up statues of him and brits voted him one of the best brits of all time

  • i consider myself a briton.....as in the true definition...as those speaking brython (welhs/cornish/cumbric)

Solidarity with Eire. Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth. ry'n ni yma o hyd.for the worse of everyone and everything we are still here!

  • @Stuartclark92 i meant south scotland uplands not lowlands

  • I am Scottish, and am lucky that I get to be Scottish and Brittish when it suits me. The Irish famine was a shameful episode in Britsh history, yet the potato blight that caused the famine affected all of Britain, Ireland was so adversley protected because of its disproportionate reliance on the crop. Suffering in this period was not confined to Ireland.

  • @Stuartclark92 what about when they depopulated the highlands and lowlands....most ppl who disagreed with the UK state fled mate.....THIS is why there is not as much vocal debate on this island...as the people affected either died or fled....the highlands had famines in which thousands died.......in the highland clearances..my family pass down a story of a boy in the village who was axed to death by red coats...for the crime of leaving his burning croft without permission.......DENIALby uk!!!

  • @3tangle3 I believe I pointed out that "suffering in this period was not confined to Ireland". What annoys me is that whilst my ancestors in Aberdeen did not have the vote at the time of the famine and had no say in any of this, we ordinary people are lumped together with the UK establishment when these events are debated and rightly criticised. We should be united against the elites which seek to rule both countries, not squabbling amongst ourselves over what those same elites did to us.

  • @Stuartclark92 the only thing that is sad is self hating scotsmen OR any men...we are who we are and the english working class suffered too.....solidarity against those who treat us badly ;)

  • @3tangle3 what is a croft?

  • @bucnomore11 I find it difficult for an American to take the moral high ground, before the wars of independence the British had set limits on the Western expansion of the thirteen colonies. Afterwards, the Americans drove the native peoples into the Pacific. Ask the people of the Phillipines about the attrocities they suffered at your hands, and how do you think the people of Cuba feel about the USA. The US-Phillipines situation of the early C20th is very like the UK-Ireland one.

  • @Stuartclark92 ..you dumbass, the giving of smallpox was part of the reason they halted expansion. Brits didn't do it to be nice guys lol. Drove them into the Pacific? lol you just make stuff up.They were given land reservations. Regardless, criticizing USA for fighting a war over border disputes would be retarded bc every nation has done it several times over.Only 40k Philapinos died idioit, 200k after war bc of disease-Millions of irish died, ask Cromwell.

  • @bucnomore11 Whilst I in no way justify what Cromwell did in Ireland, it was a response to the disorder taking place in Ireland since 1641, when some of the Irish began the massacre of Protestant settlers. There are two sides to every story. The native Americans didn't need you to "give"them reservations, they lived on the land already. Yes ALL nations act cynically in their interests, which is why I find the vehement criticism of British action, whilst well intended, just a little biased

  • @Stuartclark92 massacre? a few instances sure. but to mention it in the same statement as Cromwell's atrocities is ridiculous. few hundred compared to over a million... good call... no one said the indians did, i mentioned it to correct one of your many fact-less and incorrect statements. how was that not obvious? Act cynically in their interests.... ? lol i like how you tried to sound intelligent and informed with that statement but you butchered what the word cynical means.

  • @bucnomore11 I think its sensible to mention Cromnwell's justifications for his action with those actions actually, he did not just decide one day he felt like a massacre, he believed that he had reason to do it. As I've said before I am not justifying anything, I amomly pointing out that there is always another point of view. I think years of reading to attain a degree in British and Irish history qualify me to discuss this. Don't assume the version of events you choose to accept is 100% right

  • @Stuartclark92 he believed he had a reason to do it? awesome point!! everyone believes they have a reason to do anything.. hitler had his own reasons for killing jews.... the verison? no one disputes the alarmingly high death toll of the irish at the hands of cromwell.

  • @bucnomore11 Im not disputing it, thats my point! This whole discusiion has been down to the fact that I find it dubious to impose modern morals and values onto events of the past. Of course I view all these events as wrong but all Im saying is that the people at the time would not have. Sorry we have wasted so much of each others time, and clogged up the comments page on what is still a beautiful song.

  • @bucnomore11 - You're wrong, (1) about Jews - it's now known that the 'Holocaust' is post-WW2 propaganda fantasy - check it out. (2) It's also now known that the anti-Cromwell rhetoric is mostly 19th century fantasy. Check book reviews of Tom Reilly's book e.g. on Amazon

  • @rerevisionist hahah a holocaust denier hahaha... whats close to being as retarded is you writing off years of multiple sourced documentation on Cromwell for some dude who put up a book on amazon

  • @bucnomore11 - It isn't multiply sourced, you brain dead pillock. Reilly was brought up in Ireland and was curious about the subject. You can easily find the book (assuming you know what a bookshop is, or if you've managed to get a credit card). Do you believe everything you're told? If so, I repeat you are a brain dead pillock.

  • @rerevisionist you are an idiot, about the jews, it is known that the Holocaust did happen. Was it the worse case of genocide in the history of the world? Perhaps, perhaps not, I'm not debating that. But it did happen. Now the Arab view is that the holocaust did happen but the european guilt over it did not justify the seizing of Arab lands to make a Jewish state, but that is a topic for another time. Simply put, you are wrong, the holocaust did happen.

  • @degen83 - it isn't true. hy don't you make a little bit of effort for once in your mentally stunted life and try to CHECK FOR YOURSELF.

  • @rerevisionist I've seen enough evidence to prove that it did happen. those who say it didn't are simply wrong and trying to sway facts to support views that the facts simply do not support.

  • @degen83 - CHECK FOR YOURSELF YOU STUPID MORONIC CUNT. MAKE AN EFFORT. USE WHAT TINY BRAIN YOU HAVE! THINK! TRY JUST FOR ONCE TO ASSESS EVIDENCE! I KNOW IT'S HARD FOR YOU, YOU'VE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE, BUT PLEASE AT LEAST TRY!

  • @rerevisionist I've spoken with those who were there you cunt.

  • @degen83 - You're a credulous stupid moron. You deserve all you get.

  • @rerevisionist your name says it all, you revise history to fit your views which are based unsoundly in your own delusions. there are 3 versions of how it went down, your version, my version, and the truth.

just so happens my version has more in common with the truth than yours.

  • @degen83 - as I say, you're a credulous stupid moron. And you deserve all you'll get.

  • @rerevisionist and as I say, you are an incredibly stupid person who twists history and facts to fit your personal agenda. i find it incredibly ironic how someone called "revisionist" is calling me stupid for not believing in your historical "revisions".

  • @rerevisionist - "credulous"? surely not

  • @bucnomore11 - you're mistaken. There's a historian hwo investigated Cromwell. The atrocity story was the work of JUST ONE MAN. It is not substantiated. Just as the Jewish stuff is rubbish made up for propaganda reasons.

  • @bucnomore11 - CROMWELL'S ATROCITIES. Read Tom Reilly's paperback 'Cromwell - An Honourable Enemy' and you'll find the atrocity stories were made up - based on just one person's testimony. Very similar to the so-called 'Holocaust'

  • @rerevisionist hhahahahhahah Holocaust denier what a fucking moron. my only regret is that there is nothing i can say to cut you down that will match what you did to yourself

  • @bucnomore11 - OK, I accept you're too stupid to think for yourself. Maybe there's a reason for the popualr belief that the Irish are thick.

  • @Stuartclark92 Cuba? are you that stupid? We liberated them from Spain and gave them freedom. Sense Castro. Cubans do everything and anything to come to America, hundreds of thousands have made their way here via homemade water craft. traveling hundreds of miles over shark infested waters just to become an American. Learn your facts

  • @bucnomore11 Cuba is one of the greenest countries in the world and has a standard of living higher tham many developed countries, despite being under blockade by the world's biggest economy. America's portrayal of itself as a liberator of the carribean served its own interest of removing foreign powers from its zone of influence. There is no black and white morality in the behaviour of states, there are only shades of grey, and all actions of all states come down to their own self-interest

  • @Stuartclark92 lol if the standard of living is as good as u portray it to be, why do so many risk their lives on crappy home made rafts over shark infest waters just to get here? stop making up ridiculous statements. you sound retarded from it. you dont even know the difference between a blockade and an embargo. so sad. i'm starting to think you are in your teens by such a lack of knowledge and basic definitions of words all while presenting said knowledge as though it was creditable

  • @bucnomore11 All I was alluding to is that Cuba has a higher literacy rate than the US and almost anywhere in the world, and a life expectancy almost identical to the US. The people that leave Cuba value the political freedom they will recieve in the US but many more are happy to stay knowing that their standard of life will be just as high if they stay in the country of their birth and accept the Castro regime. You cannot just assume that Cuba is an awful place to live, two sides to the story.

  • @Stuartclark92 cuba does not have a higher literacy rate, why do you continue to make up facts? Standard of life the same? are you insane?

  • @bucnomore11 Well Im only going by the UNs official figures which measure Cuba as having higher literacy rates and longer life expectancies. If they are wrong I apologise

  • @bucnomore11 - It's a small stone farmhouse thing with land and some cattle (I think). However I believe they are being done up as trendy dwellings.

  • @Stuartclark92 it was one of several attrocities commited by the British to the Irish. They have a pattern of doing this to every non-Brit people they come in contact with. Ex. Giving blankets intentionally infested w/ smallpox to Indian tribes... forcing Cajuns in nova scotia off their lands... almost all died except for the few who made it to Louisiana

  • @bucnomore11 pap

  • @Stuartclark92 - i htought potato blight was confined to Ireland, and occurred because of the wet climate, which encourages mould etc. However, you may be right - maybe it happened all over the rest of Britain. HOWEVER it's POSSIBLE that it occurred because of naff agricultural practices, like not draining land peoperly.

  • It is The Dubliners, Claudio.

  • Travelyn looks a lot like Billy Bob Thorton.

  • Does somebody know who's singing this version???

  • cause r contries fuked from brian cowen u thick cunt

  • fuckin paddies should have learned to fish

  • @aranterranting The english have done this to the irish, the scottish, the australlians, the indians, the chinese, the nepalese and countless others. Teh selfish nature of English leaders had been prevelant for so many years. It even continued up to the thatcherite era, with the poll tax being levied in Scotland before they brought it into their own land. No surprise that the english are the most hated people all over the world

  • @TaiDieVest If thats the case then please explain why so many Irishmen have come to live in England rather than vice versa. Oh and Scots,Aussies,Indians,Chinese,Nepalese et al. Why do the stowaways all try to get to Dover rather than Dublin.

  • @aranterranting - fair question, but a bit outdated, as the Irish 'elite' have a policy of importing coloured immigrants into Ireland. It's the same anti-white policy as in Europe and the USA.

  • @TaiDieVest look up Cajuns also

  • this is not a sectarian football song, but a beautiful folk song and should be remembered as one

  • From The Netherlands: Great!

  • What's type of flute is playing at the start?

  • Comment removed

  • @ianwalkerdownland great comment, i am irish , and i agree with ya mister

  • This is a hard song to sing.... We must remember all the poor in the British Isles that have suffered at the hands of the elite.... Its still happening today as it did then.

  • I came to this site a year ago to enjoy the music, but I was shocked , intimidated and felt bullied by a certain individual who responded to one of my comments.

I have often thought about this ,especially when on my own walking and feel that this man has a lot of uncontrolled hate.-far too much.

He is not at peace with himself, the world and particularly the Irish.-God knows what

I like Irish music and I like this piece-so will return to these sites and enjoy .

    from NE England

  • some of us shall never forget.

  • @winterborn791

Never ever should this be forgotten. Even today, generations later it must not be forgotten

  • @zsazsabinksie It is one thing to remember what happened to the Irish and feel agrieved but I think it's only important to remember in order to stop it from re-occuring today. Look in the shops - beans from Kenya, rice from India... is everyone in these countrys fed? I think not.

  • Ireland was the bread basket of Britain, british exports from ireland where at their highest during the famine!! the ottomans tried to bring 30 ships of aid into ireland and the british blocaded it and only let through 3!!!! It was an orchestrated genocide and its a fact that travelyn and his supporters thought that the famine was gods wrath on the irish people over fighting for their freedom.

  • @Thuglordrpt Actually it was even a more baser instinct than that. Travelyn was what you would call a Thatcherite today. He believed in market forces and that you should not interfere as the market would sort itself out. Unfortunately a market system didnt exist in Ireland and anyway the poor who had no money could buy nothing and therfore couldnt influence the demand side of "supply & demand". Still looks like a familiar concept today doesnt it, but then thats capitalism for you

  • @sandyrow100 comparing Thatcher to Travelyn is flat out retarded. And it makes you look like a douche who tries to exploit a villainous situation by making an "apples to bowling balls" comparison to a political figure you dont like.

but then again, thats a liberal for you

  • @bucnomore11 sorry you are the retard because you are obviously someone who has not learnt the lessons of history. Its simple (as you must be) if you cannot see that the same philosophy exists today (and not just by Thatcher) Anyway you should listen to "The Fields of Ballynafeigh" ,its where I live, its the same tune as Athenry but the words are so much better

  • @sandyrow100 Trevelyan was responsible for 1.3 million dead Irish. He intentionally did nothing so that the death toll would as catastrophic as possible. Thatcher never did anything like this much less close to it. But yeah i'm the retarded one right? Blows my mind how morons like you compare todays politicians to the likes of Hitler or in this case Trevelyan.

  • @sandyrow100 now it all makes sense; i gave you the benefit of the doubt by asumming you were a retarded dumb broad but now I know you are actually a piece of shit cunt after I read this post of yours on a different video: "Crap,Respect to people who gave money to kill my fellow countrymen, what a retard. Well I guess 9/11 was payback time even if not doner by Northern Irishmen

sandyrow100" ......... Condoning and thankful for the attacks of 9/11, eat shit you cocksmoker.

  • @Thuglordrpt You'd think with all your knoweledge you'd know where to find the spell check!

  • @Thuglordrpt Bullshit !

  • I just downloaded this mp3 at audiogetnow..com

  • Regarding my last comment, just to say I was born in Ireland and can hold both Irish and British Passports. I don't know why the Irish like to hate the Brits. Hate our Politicians if you want, but they never take any notice of the people (even today). English public opinion wanted both the Irish and Americans to have independence. The Policitians decided otherwise.

  • Anyone who blames the general British population is... simple. However, there seems to be an ignorance &/or indifference amongst the general population about what your politicians have done here. I put this down to Ireland being a relatively insignificant part of Britain's history, "a drop in the ocean". Also, the British establishment & her media has always had an immense talent at distorting or altogether ignoring aspects of history & politics so as to deflect blame & absolve responsibility.

  • @HerbyPumpkin British public opinion never wanted American independence.. The only thing close to this was after several years of fighting a war they didn't realize would get drown out so long, combined with a huge natl debt that was growing.. The people became weary of the war and felt it wasn't worth it anymore.

  • During the European Potato Famine (which hit Ireland the hardest of any country) the English people were very sympathetic to the starving Irish. Many, many gave the pennies and farthings that they could hardly spare themselves to help the Irish through charity collections organised by the Churches on the mainland. Unfortunately as these Protestant Churches distributed the collections in Ireland, they tried to get the Irish to give up their Catholic Faith in order to get the food.

  • I don't blame British people, they've also suffered at the hands of their greedy elite, but when will they say enough is enough? Why do they let their establishment away with murder? Ireland was starving, yet exports were doubled, food was shipped to "the mainland" (a touchy phrase) under armed guard. Ireland was producing enough food to feed TWICE her population. How was it allowed to happen? I guess the same way as any suffering is - because we, the ordinary people, have accepted our masters.

  • People seem to forget that even the English got screwed by their dictators and still are....

I know because i'm English but i still love Ireland....

  • @beaglebob Don't worry, I have never harbored ill feelings toward the general English population, my one wish is that the British government will give Ireland back her six counties.

  • @EvilIrishNinjaPirate

chucky al ar i think its pronounced ha

  • to everyone that hates brits and think that they hate them it is not all of them and i am a brit i have no problem with anyone unless they give me a reason to do so i don't hate them for reglion or anything like that as i'm a prod but like this music as well as others plus have friends on both sides so don't say it is all brits when it's not

  • She would be just like the vast majority of English - totally ignorant of the crimes commited in the name of the "empire". From which the rich merchant became obscenely rich and the ordinary man gained nothing.

  • beautiful ,song .... thanks to a sweet friend , for sending and thanks to the uploader

  • And it wasn't just the Irish who got mistreated at the hands of the English...the Scots didn't fare much better either.

  • @mariaspencerfied why lick there fucking arses then ????

  • Beautiful version of a wonderful song

  • what did the irish ever do to the english?,hope the muslims fuk them senseless.4ever eire.

  • @vincent5875 As much as I dislike the brits for the crap they've done, they're still as much our brothers as the Irish and Scots are. We all need to UNITE AGAINST the threat that is Islam.

  • I'm English and f**k the di**s that were cruel to the Irish and the Aussies and even the Americans they had no right to. I prefer Ireland by far and used to go there every year always Manix Point in Kerry (my favorite place ever). I recomend u go. Mortimer the owner of the site is 1 of the friendliest people i've ever met. Thx to Terry and all the other guys that sung or played in the sitting room 4 giving me the time of my life. If u've been 2 Manix Point be4 pls let me know.

    [Big breath] XD

  • @hardyharboy good man! I'm English with Irish ancestry (my grandparents were from Donegal) I agree with what you're saying, it makes me sad what they did to Ireland :'( Ireland is a beautiful country, i'd like to live there some day

  • Could someone please tell me the name of the flute music at the beginning and the end of this video? It's beautiful.

  • Man's inhumanity to man. When will cruelty end? When will we learn who and what we really are? We are all God's creatures. All children of the universe which we share with the animals which we cruelly farm. Wake up all of you who call yourselves Christians. How could this have happened? Innocent children starving to death just so that the rich became richer. You cannot take your money with you when you leave this world and that time will surely come. Please, be kind.

  • Thanks for writing back to me Rosie, hope you have a great time over in Ireland.

I moved to England in 91, just as it became cool to be Irish...River Dance and all :) Irish dancing was a punishment in my Ireland..the second I left it was cool !!! ha ha :)

Take care and have fun :)

  • As an Irishman I have to tell my fellow countrymen and others of the suffering of the English, Welsh and Scots at the same time as the Potato famine. The Corn Laws affected all the peoples of the British Isles. If anyone took the time to look into the real history of that time they'd see the relivence of whats going on today. The Corn Laws were to protect rich land owners from cheap imports and ensure high prices for there products. To protect the interests of the few the many perish.

  • so proud to be of irish heritage... i only dream of the day i will get to walk on the same soil my ancestors did. They established themselves here after the potato famine as they had nothing left in their homeland.

  • What's that beautifuul flute sound at the beginning?

  • Rule Britannia!

  • I grow potatoes every year and when we dig them out I tell my daughter about the famine in the hope that our Anglo- heritage won't get forgotten.

  • I love the music of my land but I hate seeing these racist comments of built-in nationalistic hatred from both Irish & British alike. Yes, there is bad history & current events but the English have England, the Irish have the Republic & yes, unfortunately the North is disputed, however, there is power sharing now & it's more peaceful now than for centuries, even with the hatred that remains. Accept it, leave it alone, stop the conflict. Just enjoy the music & skip the fucking hatred please.

  • this song is a tribute not only to the irish people, who died on hunger, its a tribute to the irish nation suffered under the english tyranny

  • Shameful. Disgusting. Nothing can ever compensate. I hope those responsible are starving in some hell somewhere. I'm English and have no pride in much of my heritage.

  • @RosieT20 Hello Rosie. I,m a Paddy and proud of it. The Famine was as much a result of the Corn Laws as the Blight. If you'd look into the history of how the English suffered under these laws I think you'd be suprised. The Toll Puddle Marchers {forgive my spelling }are the case to look at.

Take care Rosie and all the best :)

  • @keiran48 Thanks, Keiran. I just read the trilogy by Walter Macken - great books. I'll be in Ireland for the first two weeks in September - can't wait. You've every reason to be proud. :)

  • i am 1/4 irish and pleased to be..

  • Brits Out . You Have England So Fck Off. Fck Off Outa All the rest of Countries you sneaked into.

  • aids a judgement on gays my arse...no more than cancer is a judgement on smokers....homosexuality tho is a judgement on mankind

  • love the way this has been put together my favourite so far

  • Yeah, God's judgment all right, like AIDS is God's judgmemt on gays, even though far more people suffer than are gay. Sounds like a snooty English noble all right. At the same time, an Englishman stealing a loaf to feed his family suffered the same fate. It's those in charge, whose families are well fed who make the decisions for the bulk of the population.

  • @carollizc you r right

  • i love this song waro of liverpool

  • A very catchy song but it was written in the 1970's not the 1840's. Its now a Celtic football club Catholic anthem to the IRA, those lovers of freedom.

  • wa a fucking good song

  • It is known more now as a football song , which is a little sad.

  • This song was written by a scot so i believe ?

  • What artist is this?

  • nothing matters more when you are free... WHAT A LOVELY SONG

    GOD SAVE THE IRISH!!!!

One day we will see the English begging for food from Ireland, this day isn't far away

  • this helps me so much i can sing to it!!!!!!!

  • 4:53 LOLZ. Wrong sort of corn.

  • Luv it im irish and proud of it

Ta me broduil as mo teanga

  • Proud to be Scottish not British.

  • Lord Trevelyn was the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland in charge of the Famine Relief......what Relief? I am prompted to ask!

  • trevelian was in charge of ''relief'' efforts, even though he thought it was the irish peoples punishment. It was used by the british to destroy the working class who wished to rid themselves of british tyranny.

There was a case of a man robbing corn, he explained he done it when he found his wife eting his dead child. He was still sent to australia, and guess where in australia?? Botany bay... same place mentioned in this song.

  • It gives the whole World great joy to see that God continues to punish you all.

  • Sorry - i am bit ingnorant - what 'they' did to Scots? i thougth that this song refers to the potato famin?

  • bez u r such a wanker. U should love your country no matter what. You have just spat on the graves of millions of people who died so you could say what you just did!! And no im not a racisit or b n p supporter

  • bez u are such a noob!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • well fuck off somewhere else bez if ur not proud to be british fuck off, im a socialist and proud of it but i would never turn my back on my country, your a coward

  • well said!! Im N irish-British and proud to be British!!

  • Comment removed

  • It was an attempted genocide, but no one living caused it, and no one living suffered for it.

I'm proud to be Irish, and it's good to remember our past, but we can't allow the anger to justify bad behavior of our own-- not even God can change the past.

  • What a soft, pudding headed twat you are! Best go and read some history boy!

  • Yes what they did to the scots was terrible. But the Scots ended up kicking thier arse!!

  • the great famine would not have claimed so many irish lives if the british hadnt decided to simply let them die because their logic was that ireland can not sustain a population of over 8 million (the population at the time) so if you look at it from this angle you could say that the brits wanted genocide on the irish (or didnt want any more young irish men going die hard rebulicans# and cause them more problems in the future)

    # sorry didnt know how to spell it

  • God bless.

  • Featured on my channel. Truth is Truth.

    Tá Fírinne Fírinne

  • Mary you are the ass, the Brits allowed this famine to explode in order to rid the Irish tenants, from the land. The landlords were all Brits mostly put in place years earlier by Cromwell who was the Devil himself. Read the book Law of Dreams, and don't speak so ignorantly

  • Thank You very much for this beautiful song.God bless all.

  • 0:53

  • the english did a lot of bad shit in the PAST...get over it

  • i sit next to a girl who just moved here fromsomewhere in england and shetalks about england being the best in the world and when i told her of the english cruel rule over the irish she cussed me out and called me irish scum. hahaha what a bitch right?

  • I would rather be called Irish scum than ever be mistaken as a fucking Brit

  • amen!

  • you need to grow up son and educate urself.ya fekin eejit.

  • @yNotSkate4ever She probably has her reasons! But yes!

It's funny, I know that the Germans still feel regret over the Holocaust. The are aggresive in educating their children about it in order to ensure it never happens again. On the other hand, I have never heard of any English people express regret or sorrow about the Famine...strange, isn't it?

  • @mikenned ya know, i think off that alot, but as much crap that i talk about the english and their country, weither it be there aweful rugby teams, or there just stuck upness, i do try to remember that in all fairness not every englishmen is the same. I have met many who are very nice and reasonable. But that i no way will get me to ever like them.
